I received my u-haul on empty. The truck read 3 miles left before completely empty. Moving is stressful enough and to receive a truck at empty, even though it was reserved, made the day start off terribly. It took 45 minutes to get gas, even though it is next door. Also, there is no customer parking so you're only choice is 1-2 hour parking on that block or walk a few blocks and park in the nearby neighborhood. This building location sincerely makes for a very rough start to your move.Allison F.

The fuel level was wrong for my vehicle (the contract said it was 3/4ths full but it was 1/8th). I thought that it would be corrected after I submitted a picture of the mileage and fuel level before driving, but I still got charged for not filling it up, despite me only traveling 12 miles and returning it with 2 extra gallons in the tank. It took 30 minutes on a phone call to get that fixed. Very annoying and a waste of my time. Not happy with the service at all.Lane S.

The u haul roof had a hole because of which rain water got in and spoilt the entire stuff and caused huge loss. Even after that I was charged for the service.Manik S.

We had our drop off location confirmed by text the day before which was fine. The next morning I had multiple calls to my cell but without any messages. When I called the number I was continually put through automatic menus and was unable to leave a message. About 10am I did get to an actual human and let them know ( again) that the truck would be returned around 3. At 2:30 when we returned the truck the attendant said they had someone waiting for the truck at 10 am. That was really not my problem since I had told multiple Uhaul people at that point when the truck would be returned. I suggest that you improve your rental timing and details in your system because I was already irritated about having to drive far out of my way in the first place, having the pickup and the return locations changed from my online reservation, and having to try to contact your representatives multiple times to let the know information I had already communicated. I am sure the people waiting for the truck I had were also upset because the truck wasn't there for them. I will likely do everything I can to avoid using Uhaul in the future.Shannon L.

Lines were horribly long. It should not take 30 minutes to receive service. Also, the return procedure after hours was incredibly unclear. The location says they don't accept returns after hours due to "security concerns". This needs to be mentioned when picking up the truck for clarity.Nicholas H.
This location does not support after hours drop off, even for truck share 24/7 rentals. There was no disclosure of this limitation at booking or at pickup, but rather the key drop box was sealed with a sign blaming crime in the area.STEPHEN E.
Truck wasn't spotless but clean enough, and the price ended up being about 20 $more than the online estimate, which is irritating. But I just didn't have the energy to question it.Pat A.
The back tire of the truck was covered in human feces, and I mean covered. The smell was horrendous. I cannot believe they gave me the truck, and that I paid full price for it. Personnel was rude as well. I will never go to this location again.Pierce M.
I was very happy with the online pre-booking on uhaul.com It was slightly busy when I was there and there was one clerk arranging a rental booking for next month while I waited. But it was no big deal, I was not in a hurry.Jeffrey M.

You advertise 19,95 then it turns into 50 dollars. Such a scam. The trucks mileage gage literally skipped a mile to increase the miles driven. This happened a couple times. Really screwed up. Your employees don't want to be working and it shows.Susan E.
U haul charged me 10 $for furniture pads I did not order or need. I told the agents and pick up and drop off, but they could not or would not remove the fee. I did not take the pads. I called customer service but go no help. Terrible customer service by u haul!Gregory M.

We couldn't drop off the uhaul after 5 pm. The support specialist said that we would be able to drop off keys and return after hours but the location didn't accept it. Had to go through additional hassle of finding parking for the van and bidirectional commute.SAMEER C.

This location had a DO NOT return here after hours on their door. No one told me this would be the case. I had no choice but to leave the vehicle. They had even went so far as to make the drop box inaccessible. Their homemade signs threatened to charge a service fee if I left the vehicle and looking at my bank account today, they did just that. Charged me 50,96 $. I am renting a Uhaul tomorrow to move myself from Vancouver, WA to California. Had this incident happened earlier and I had time to cancel my Uhaul rental for California and make another choice, I would have. This location should not have the option of inconveniencing Uhaul customers at their discretion. I chose Uhaul for a reason and was sorely dissapointed at the result.Robert S.

Staffing needs massive help. One employee to handle everything simply is not enough. Before it was my turn, I counted 11 people in line (not including couples) waiting for service. Easily an hour wait or longer. Makes me think twice before renting again - standing in line for that long with a reservation is too much.Jason S.
I picked up the trailer at the Ballard (Seattle) location. Angie was very helpful. efficient and polite. I returned the trailer to the Medford OR and the process was fast, also efficient and the man helping me was very helpful.Mark P.

I was very impressed with the service I received at the Ballard Uhaul. Chris Gomez (? That was the signature on my contract), I believe is the name of the guy who checked me in. Prior to helping me, I observed a woman getting very heated because her rental had been given to someone else, since she took too long to come pick it up. She was incredibly upset and abusive over something that was beyond Chris's control. I was impressed with the way he handled the situation, staying calm the whole time. After she stormed out, he maintained his composure to assist the next people in line and, when it was my turn, he saw to it that I got a smaller truck, which is what I needed, even though the website didn't offer that size for that location. Also, some trucks had had the gas lines cut, so things were extra stressful, but the people running the shop were composed and had each others' backs. At drop off the next day, I was met with a super easy check out by another guy who was very friendly and adorable.EVIE M.

When I returned the van there was only 1 employee doing the check-in outside plus working inside at the desk. The line of people waiting grew and one woman left who gave up waiting to buy boxes and tape. Other than that I had an excellent. experience. It was a 5 star experience overall but lack of staff brought it down to a 4FAYE I.
They do not allow night return. I drive from corvallis to seattle withouth any knowledge about this problem. U-haul also do not know about this issue. I must pay 40usd to uber for a drive to return the key on the next morning. A big corporation, with the promise that customer will recieve and return truck 24/7. But fails to keep their promise, the customer must pay for full damage. U-haul will be kicked out of the market very soon. Management should go to google and yelp and read all the review. 1 star for bad serviceDUNG N.
When I made my reservation over the phone they reserved a truck that was not available down in Interbay then I had to drive around and find another one. Apparently the system doesn't know when vehicles are down for repair. Works out for us but kind of been a disaster for somebody who had a real deadline.
