I filled the gas back to where it was when I rented the van and I was still charged for 2 gallons of gas. I'm not gonna call and try to get that money back but that's very frustrating and I won't use Uhaul again because of it.johnny H.

Honor your reservations! I reserved a furniture and a regular dollar from the Burbank location about a week in advance. None were available when I arrived. I called the UHAUL phone number to find these items at another UHAUL location, I was told they had both. When I arrived at the North Hollywood UHAUL location, they had neither. In total, UHAUL's failure to honor its reservation cost me 1,5 hour delay, $35 because I had to buy a furniture dolly from HomeDepot, and at least an additional $8 in mileage fees traveling to a second UHAUL location and HomeDepot. If you can't honor its reservation at the pickup location, they should then do everything possible to correct the situation or provide compensation to the customer. UHAUL is no different than an airline, hotel or rental car company, all who if they can't honor a reservation provide some form of upgrade/compensation for their error.Mark C.

Our experience was absolutely horrendous. Two days prior to moving day we were called informing us that there wasn't a truck available to pickup up at this location and Drop off in the new city. We'd either have to take a smaller truck or return to original location. We chose the second option. Because of the inconvenience we were told the price would be cheaper. Upon pickup the price was actually more and the truck was smaller than expected. The price was adjusted and we went on our way. We didn't get everything done due to the size of the truck so We had to extend the rental another day. Upon return of the truck 2 days later the associate even agreed the truck wasn't the proper size. Later that afternoon I received another charge. When I called I was told it was because we had the truck 3 days. This was not true. We had the truck from 7:30 am Saturday to 7:30 am Monday. That's 2 full days. The manager said he would credit me $112 and send me an email receipt of said return. Although I felt I should've received more back I accepted it just to be done with the ordeal. That transaction was never performed and I had to call again three days later. The same manager told me the transaction â€œdid not go throughâ€ and he assured me he tried it again and â€œwe should be good.â€ So far I have not received an email confirmation of that refund nor my actual refund. I am beyond irritated right now and would hope that transaction clears by Monday or I will be calling corporate.Tina G.

I received a truck with a dirty interior. I dropped it off after hours and used the app to return. I answered honestly that the truck was not clean for the next customer and clarified in the comments that I was requesting it cleaned out of courtesy to the next customer. I was then charged a $25 cleaning fee!! I also have photos of my pickup and the dirty interior.Joel R.

The truck was essentially â€œcleanâ€ but it smelled like cigarette smoke. The staff are all in their early 20s essentially did their job, but seemed to more concerned with horsing around and laughing with each other than helping. Also, when I had to do the mobile inspection via the link sent to me once I got the keys, the pictures were not of the truck I was sitting in and the mileage on the odometer was off by about 500 miles. When I went in to express concern, I was told by the staff to â€œjust take a pictureâ€.Matthew B.

I've rented a uhaul twice since October 1st. Both time the fuel tank was 1/8 or less, last Thursday the fuel light was on. That meant I had to stop at the gas station before I do anything else. That meant I had to estimate my fuel consumption. I over estimated both times leaving far more gas then I had to. The 26 footer had a bad transmission that when I returned it I told the employee about it and he said he knew it and they've had problems with it before. Why would uhaul rent that type of issue. I was pissed but didn't think anything would get done anyway. October 13th I rented a cargo van, besides the fuel tank being empty, the widow's were dirty and the floor boards on the drivers side had left over dirt from the last customer. There is Total disparity in What "Will" the General Manager at the Alameda Location in Burbank quotes at the Time of renting the UHAUL Truck and the calculation on the Final Bill. There are lot of hidden fees not disclosed and always take a mobile image of the Mileage on the Odometer together with the actual Gas/Petrol level as they fix you at a minimum $8 per Gallon. Avoid renting any UHAUL Truck from this location in BurbankDominic F.

My installation went bad. When I picked up the vehicle several sensors stopped working on my new vehicle. I took I advised the manager and took it back but the tech was not able to fix it. I took it to the dealer and they charged me $200 to fix it. I filed a claim but have not heard back. Terrible service and would not recommend this to anyone. No one is getting back to me about my claim.Jaime H.

Hire an additional qualified technician. The two employees at the location were both professional, kind and hard-working. My observation was that the location seemed understaffed for the amount of business that was brought into the location. U-Haul is lucky to have the boat!ROBERT Q.
I reserved a furniture dolly with my truck, as it was crucial for a time sensitive move. When I arrived there were no dollies. I ended up having to waste an hour and go buy one. I was very disappointed. You should remove items off the reservation site if they aren't available.Linsay R.

The car had low tire pressure, completely dirty inside and not well maintained.Armen B.
Engine oil was low when I checked . Employee came out and asked if all was ok . Asked if they could address engine oil level being low . He said he could put me in another rental or I could just use this truck and they would address engine oil level when I return vehicle . Head lamp switch was loose and not mounted properly. I could not turn headlights on for about an hour . Knob was to far in to grad to turn head lights on . Finally was able to turn headlights to auto to get headlights to work . This should have been checked prior to rental . Employee said it was up to me to check vehicle prior to leaving . This is poor service considering there is a service department on site which should pre trip vehicle prior to rental . I was so stressed on loss of time and and having to deal with headlights I was not able to leave items at my storage . Had to return rental that night and have my son in law take items in his car in the morning because I had to leave back to norther California to be at work next morning . I feel I should be compensated by a partial refund due to this inconvenience. Please contact me . If this is possible .Marlon M.

The company really screwed up this order. I was told that because of the I would discounted on my miles because I would need to use their vehicle to drive all over town to get the auto-transport I had also rented. Only to find out that the other rental location was 40 miles away and already closed, which they failed to inform me about. I only found out when I was 10 miles into the journey and called to let them know I was on my way. I then called customer service. It took 3 people until I found someone to help me locate a new auto transport but even that was 20 miles away. Someone else on MY team made a call to someone they know who works at Uhaul and was able to find one in my area with in 15 minutes. This was a terrible experience AND they did not discount me at all.Kristina M.

UHaul totally screwed me. You installed my hitch wiring wrong, so it kept blowing fuses; causing me to get pulled over and get a ticket. Then I was not allowed to drive away, causing me to be stranded. Roadside assistance could not help.Shawn H.
