Generally a positive experience. However, Parking lot was congested with vehicles so it was difficult to park and even enter the building. One attendant at the desk on a busy morning - should have been more.Ken B.

The online method of pick was a little confusing for me I didn't realize I wasn't completely done all the steps and I started driving away a different truck luckily the man saw me and stopped me and directed me to the truck I was supposed to have although it wasn't out and ready for me at the time I had requested. Another truck had to be moved prior to me driving mine away it was parked behind another truck and not ready to go. When I had filled out the online paperwork it had said if the truck isn't ready to go money would be reimbursed but that doesn't seem likely.Talia M.

Incredibly efficient customer service rep. I walked in to 9 people deep and it was less than a thirty minute wait. I forgot my phone in the vehicle and an hour and a half later it was at the desk waiting for me. It helps when people book on line ahead but it is even better when the staff is knowledgeable.Terri N.

My location was changed from St.Albans to Burlington at the last second & I booked my hotel in St. Albans because it was close. Felt like the moving truck was really overpriced if I'm honest.Natasha L.
The truck was old. The driver door didnt latch completely. I could barely lift the door on the bay; the track was out of shape and needed to be greased. Otherwise it was ok. Fortunately I had a local move. I would not have wanted to take that thing on a road trip.Pam C.

Only issue was that I was 2 hours late picking up the trailer, so the U-Haul system cancelled my reservation. Fortunately there was a trailer available, and Nathaniel in the U-Haul office was super helpful and friendly at finding a trailer for me.Russell W.

These guys knock themselves out to be friendly, helpful, efficient. The location has already expanded parking places for customer cars, which was huge. The location gets a lot of business, and like ALL such enterprises coming out of the COVID couple of years, right now they need more people to keep up with the business - notice they are hiring, and working on getting the staffing expansion they need. So this isn't a "what you should do to improve" note, it's an acknowledgment that the location is already my go-to, and adding staff is something already being worked on.Kristin L.

On website when I booked I picked St.Albans location . Get a call that I have to go to BTV. This was 20 miles and a 40 min drive one way . Totally out of my way. And I had to pay the extra mileage. That is not ok. Windshield wipers need replacing. Check in process was good and friendly gentleman who checked us in.Melissa D.
A tip about the turn radius of the truck when pulling out would have been helpful. I was making a right turn in a 15' truck and coming out of the lot space with added 45 degrees more to the turn. I ended up having to turn into the other lane to make the turn, which annoying some of the incoming drivers. Had I know I could've angled the truck better to pull out o to the road.Timothy R.

The attendant who checked-in the trailer, like other attendants before, was very efficient and quick. He explained what I should expect in the e-mail and what, if any, additional charges may be levied. I was in and out in about 15 minutes.Dennis H.

Service and equipment are top notch. Especially the service that I receved from whomever it was that checked me in &out. He was fantastic. The location and parking lot is a bit tough for people like me who don't have experience driving big trucks. Mine was 26 feet.Michael K.

They said they Had a 20 foot truck . So reserved it. And when I got there they only had a 15 so I had to put double miles on it. .. they should have offered a discount atleast to make up for it .Travis B.

I had to go 30 miles to rent a truck when there are two closer to my home. I got over that because maybe they had no truck available. What can't get over is why I couldn't return the truck to the location 5 miles from my home, I had to return it at the location where I rented it. The gentleman at the service counter realized it was getting busy and radioed his coworker to come inside to help. Brad was nice and professional. I had to park in a bad spot because the return area was full. Brad said not to worry! He came out and unhooked the trailer and we moved it into its spot. Inspected the trailer and said he would email me the receipt within 10 mins. He was great! Couldn't have asked for a better total experience! Thank you BradGregory M.

I've used uhaul before from this location with no issues, this time was different. Made reservation for truck on Tuesday to pick up Saturday in Burlington, received confirmation soon after, then on Friday received an email saying pickup was in St. Johnsbury ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STATE. I head over to the pickup location in Burlington after receiving the email and am told they could give me a bigger truck (more money) at 11am on Sunday, ruining all plans made for this move. The truck on the highway shook like crazy once you hit 60 and when you hit a bump the front passenger side made this loud clunking noise. Not at all happy with the whole situation. You'd at least think they'd of offered the larger truck at the smaller trucks cost. Very unhappy customer.John W.

Reservation #23493655 was made on 06/13/2022 On Thursday, August 11th, I received a voice message and email that U-Haul has changed the pick up location from Burlington VT to St Johnsbury VT, 80 miles away. I attempted many return phone calls (only to be put on hold) and responded to both the email and the website as soon as I could. The Bad â€" U-Haul's business model of changing the reservation at the last minute without my approval. This is an extremely â€œcustomer unfriendlyâ€ process. The online reservation pick up location as â€œpreferredâ€, not a guarantee is extremely poor. If I needed equipment in St Johnsbury, I would have requested a St Johnsbury location. The individual who I final spoke with on the phone. He really needs some â€œpeople skillâ€ training. I do not like being accused of creating the issue because I did not immediately answer the phone when U-Haul tried to contact me. The Good â€" The two individuals that I worked with at U-Haul of Burlington. They were a great assist. Karna, the customer assistance that helped with the after hour drop off because the online app could not resolve the contract.Mark R.
Walking alone two lots over to retrieve the truck was not something I was accustomed to when picking up a rental. No review with me regarding the pick-up for a visual look-over together. must be a COVID restriction thing ...not sure. If it is, an explanation would have been sufficient.MARIA V.
