We were told if we returned the truck to our final destination the same day we picked it up that we would save $19.95, one day of a rental. We did that and our final destination they refused to give us the $19.95. The truck wasn't due until 7/21, but we returned it 7/19 expecting to get the $19.95 back. The lady at the drop off said she was submitting some claim for us to get our $19.95 back. We are waiting to see the claim, and are waiting for $19.95 back on our credit card.

This whole experience was a nightmare and your customer service reps need better training. I called a dozen times on 6/27/2019 and no one could help me. Our moving help (which we chose off of uhaul site) never showed up and it took forever to straighten the whole mess out. To top it off the guy at Everett WA called and wanted $83 before releasing my box to the new movers!! Once again customer service couldn’t figure out why I was being charged an extra $83. Then our ubox arrives in Austin TX to the wrong location. My moving help went to the location listed on my order and it wasn’t there! How can there be so many mess ups if this is what you guys do? Please get better customer service.

The serpentine belt broke within 3 miles of the dealership. We requested a replacement truck and were told they had to send someone to fix it. We were very frustrated that we couldn't talk directly to the dealership manager. We were stuck just off the next freeway exit for 4 hours before the belt was fixed. I had to ask a stranger for a ride for my wife to be able to use a restroom during the incredibly long wait. Your policy should be to get your customers quickly and safely on the road. It would have been reasonable to expect a replacement vehicle delivered 3 miles away and for the belt to be fixed on your time. We should not have had to pay for a truck rented to us in disrepair. The $70 free collected was not worth the bad feelings that will turn into bad reviews.

I arrived at 656p telling store manager our rental truck was arriving within 5 minutes behind me. His response as well as his employees was unprofessional for customer service saying at 7p, doors closing period. After heated discussions he and staff reluctantly completed my return in person rather than forcing us to use online return. Couldn't use online return because your company's pickup processes and lack of day of inventory required us to obtain truck, furniture dolly and pads from THREE locations.

The truck was filthy and stunk very bad. The 12v charger plugs didn't work very well. The truck was all beat up and looked aweful. I order pads and moving dollie and funature mover. Got through check out and they said everything was ready and I could go. I checked in the truck and they had not put the items in the truck. Had to go back in, request them. They didn't have any dollies, they were all broke. Wow....

Trailer was not inspected prior to hooking up, trailer was missing license plate and caused us trouble coming with law enforcement. Wait times are always heavy here due to poor layout of parking lot, but this is the only location with equipment needed. Average wait time over 10 minutes just to drop off equipment.

For my Toyota Camry. This U-Haul hitch looks great and I also like the metal loop part that protects the exhaust pipe. Everyone that owns a Toyota Camry should buy a U-Haul hitch for use with a trailer for camping, fishing, hunting trips or storage moves. Rental trailers each day rate is very reasonable at your local U-Haul store. *Oh, you also may want to know that the real cure for all Cancer is Chlorine Dioxide. It felt like the classic bait and switch, multiple times. I was quoted $72 originally and told the appointment would take 1 hour. I confirmed via the phone that my quote included wiring to pull a tent trailer and included wiring for breaks and a round 7 pin. When I arrived at uhaul at 7am, after waiting 20 minutes in line I was told I would have to reschedule for another day, that the appointment would take 4 hours and cost $450.00! I questioned the original quote and was told the call center did not know what they were talking about. Then they uphold me for a service that would cost me $475.00 but would get me out the door in an hour. 3.5 hours later my car was ready. I asked where the equipment I purchased was and was told it was I. The car. I went out to the car to check. Nope. I had to go back and argue with the employees to give me the $246 breaking system and the $18.00 lock I had purchased even tho I could show that it was purchased on my receipt! Finally the employee took the items I had purchased under his arm, walked me all over the lot, and had to go talk to another employee to make sure it was my equipment, a process that took an additional 20 minutes (seriously not trying to steal your stuff uhaul) the bright side, my car is ready to go camping. My recommendation is to train call center employees to give accurate quotes for starters.

Reserved 26’ truck for 8am. 8am, became 10am, and then 130p. The 130p required us to pick up Truck and drive some where else for other supplies. Contacted scheduler and they made changes and confirmed truck. When we went to pick up truck a 26’ was not available. Give us a 20’ for less. Problem is we needed 26’ and all our items would not fit into the 20’. Unreliable service.

U-Haul screwed up our reservation and cost us time, effort and patience. We scheduled and paid for a U-Box to be picked up from Avondale and delivered to Bellingham, WA. Days later I received an email sighting Everett as the delivery address. When I inquired at Avondale U-Haul, I was to told by the GM that I needed to simply call Everett once the container arrived there and tell them that it needed to be transferred to Bellingham. When I tried to do this I was told by one employee that he would look into it and call me back. He did not. I called again and spoke with another who refused to listen to the issue and got very impatient, so I asked to speak to someone else. The last person was helpful, however, U-Haul was unable or willing to honour there agreement to deliver the U-Box to Bellingham. We had to pick up our U-Box approximately 70 miles and 1 hour away.

Great customer service in store but you should hire more folks to be able to answer the phone for local questions. tried to solve an issue and we were transferred to reps in Phoenix, Florida, North Carolina and Arizona. We needed local help. Shadan was a very helpful agent in the store but we couldn’t get thru to talk by phone. The moving van did not work for our needs as hitch did not fit our 1 7/8 ball hitch. Had to return it unused and had to unload entire truck. A difficult situation. We had been told the ball hitch would work but it did not.

When I picked up the truck, the gas was at 3/4 tank. Apparently it wasn’t logged in the system, so when i returned the truck at the level I received it, they wanted to charge me $20 to return it to the level in their system. I ended up filling the tank passed the level in their system. The lady asked if I took a picture to prove that the gas tank was where I said it was. I didn’t realize it was my job to document the gas when it’s supposed to be the company’s job to make sure everything is where it’s supposed to be at before releasing the vehicle to a customer. This is how the company robs people. I should have used a different company. Anyone reading this, DO NOT USE UHAUL.

The self serve function is ridiculous and I was charged an extra $100 for a missing key, when the key was locked inside the truck.

Everett location was fine. Uhaul corporate was terrible. Our front wheel broke off of our personal truck 60 miles from home. We wanted to either drop off the trailer at a different location or rent a truck to continue our move and you wanted to charge us $300!!!!! No one would bend even a little bit or try to figure out a solution to our problem!! The only uhaul employee that helped was Matt Belfie at the Bellingham location! He deserves a raise!!

The customer service skill of the manager on duty was completely awful. When the associate helping was in need of assistance from him he refused to leave from the back to come up front and help her. During my wait to get the vehicle more customers continued to get in line and wait longer since he would not come help them either. Most unprofessional manager I have felt with. I won’t be visiting this location ever again.

U haul was an absolute nightmare. Not one thing went the right way. I moved across country and if that wasn’t stressful enough; my box was late, they pre-charged, never communicated. The customer service was a complete run around. Danielle at the Everett office and Reyna from the corporate side were the only two helpful caring people on your staff. Don from Florida branch was disrespectful and could careless about anyone’s inconvenience. I will NEVER use UHaul again. The only way I got any answers was the repeatedly email the CEO Joe Shoen.

The location is too small for all the equipment it takes in. Each time I've rented or attempted to rent equipment at the Everett store, access to trailers/equipment pickup has been blocked by excess box trucks. Today I had to back my Tahoe into the trailer pickup area off of the six-lane Evergreen Way w/ traffic stacking up behind me. My excitable wife unfortunately blew her top over our exposure to traffic hazard at the pleasant sales lady at the counter, for which I apologize. Just too much equipment on too little return/pickup area. I suggest planning logistics that would offload overstock equipment to a nearby lot so incoming customers, whether returning or checking out equipment, can park their POVs and position themselves to pickup/return equipment. Staff was excellent, courteous and prompt, and I have nothing but praise for all of them.

The check in process. Several people this morning could not get trucks because others before us did not return trucks. I reserved a 20' and ended up with a 15'. That did not make my moving experience pleasant. So in turn uhaul was tarnished for me today.

The delivery drivers were excellent--no critique there. They were communicative and worked with us (via text) to make sure our boxes were placed correctly. The quote process and customer support staff, on the other hand, were far below adequate. Nowhere on Uhaul's site does it outline the fee structure for Uboxes (i.e. that there are separate fees for delivery and "shipping"), so when we completed our initial online quote for $500 we expected that to be the total cost to deliver, load, and move our boxes. Unfortunately, Uhaul is NOT transparent in their pricing and processes, so only when we had the boxes in hand, fully loaded, and needed them moved to our next house did we find out that delivery to the next house IS NOT included in the initial quote--in spite of the fact that Uhaul's FAQ clearly states that the quote should include delivery, storage, and shipping. It's not our fault your website is misleading and your online quote process fails to collect all the necessary information to provide an adequate quote! So there we were, two days before our planned move, being told we needed to cough up another $200 just to have our stuff delivered to our new home. We talked to maybe half a dozen Uhaul employees, none of whom demonstrated any compassion or even acknowledged that the website was misleading. In the end, we felt like Uhaul held our possessions hostage while they pulled a bait-and-switch. Nobody treated us with any sensitivity, care, or compassion. Our initial quote DID NOT accurately reflect our final Uhaul costs--we wound up having to pay substantially more. Had we known this up front, we probably would have gone with a traditional moving truck. Any convenience from being able to load the boxes gradually was destroyed by the added costs and the grueling customer service experience. We will never be using Uhaul again and do not recommend them to friends and family. One last note--Uhaul needs to streamline its communication process. On the pickup date I received a flurry of phone calls, texts, and emails asking me to check in--even after I had already done so. Once a customer checks in as instructed, they shouldn't have to hear from you again!

I reserved a 20 foot truck in maryville for 2 days pick up Friday drop off Sunday to be picked up in marysville because the event I was doing was in maryville day of pick up I call they send me to the evergreen one and cost me more $ in mileage then get there they only have the truck for one day so I had to rent a truck and trailer. Wasn't want I ordered but had no choice. Then asked will is there so discount since you guys messed up not one but twice and cost me more money and was told nope sorry to bad. I'm very unhappy and had to pay more $ for you guys mess up. And wasn't treated well .

They were very helpful- the employee when I picked up my truck was alone and had about 5 or 6 customers, he handled it pretty well. When I dropped off my truck the mileage was wrong and it said I traveled 9,000 miles (in 5 hours) the gentleman that checked me in fixed it right away.

I was not able to have my Uboxes delivered and picked up in a timely manner so I was forced to rent a truck, unload my Uboxes into the truck and then drive down to my apartment in Seattle. When booking the truck, I was promised that my Uboxes would be taken out of the warehouse and ready for me to drive the truck up to begin unloading. When I arrived at the warehouse with the truck, my Uboxes were nowhere to be found, nor was anyone to ask for help. I called the Uhaul number and the rep said he couldn't help. We then went back to the store and had to find the GM to get one of his workers to find the UBoxes and bring them out. On top of it, there was another customer who was waiting on his Ubox and a trucker waiting to load Uboxes for shipping. It put my whole schedule 45 minutes behind, but could have been worse if we weren't assertive with the GM. I'm hiring movers next time and not wasting my time with Uhaul's poor logistical operations.

Unfortunately this location was 14 miles from where my preferred location. I had to request a different drop off location for the car transport trailer because the drop off location could not accept any cay haulers. I was told by the gentleman at the counter that he would change it and that I would get a new location notice by text but never did. The gentleman that prepared my vehicle was fantastic. He was very friendly and showed me everything that I asked about on the vehicle transport.

You need to clean the trucks - the body and the cab. I'm so sick of nasty, sticky U-Haul cabs. You need to do proper maintenance - the "Service Stabilitrack" message came on repeatedly, the engine ran poorly, the driver seat was crooked two different ways, the driver side window handle knob wouldn't stay on. You need more space for returning trucks, I was barely able to get mine back on the lot. And you really need to get over your dictatorial attitude - insisting that I *must* check in the truck on my mobile device and then demanding that I enable location sharing in my browser? No, no, no, I refuse, I will not EVER do that for you. Stop trying to make me use my phone, do your own work and stop trying to make me do it free. Also - the people at this location scammed me and I don't appreciate it. Skimming an extra mile here and there at the customer expense is THEFT.

This place is so unorganized and way over crowded. Too many trucks and trailers for the location. You can’t drop off without blocking traffic in the parking lot or the streets. They need less trucks and trailer as they are parked every where!! It seems to have gotten worse over the last 2 years. Someone needs to really look at the safety of their customers and employees. I didn’t appreciate sitting in my car for 15 minutes while waiting for the employees to jockey around the equipment so we could leave. Also they could care less that you had trouble with your equipment. Just want you out if there. The desk help is very slow and not the least bit friendly.

The employees are all great but the systems they have to work with are complete garbage. This is my second time renting from this location and I doubt there will be a 3rd. Every time the wait inside is 30minutes plus because the system isn’t working correctly. The employees show patience and are all very pleasant but I feel bad for them that they don’t have the means to take care of customers in an efficient manner.

First the reservation was made for a few days longer then it should have costing my initial fee much more then it should be because they could not change the drop off date or so they said, then when I dropped the truck of it was 06/04 at 1030pm. I had to call the location after talking to everyone and anyone who works at customer support I finally get ahold of this location. The guy said I will be charged as it was returned last night and today will not count. Looking at the website that isn’t a true statement he mad to me.

Made reservation for 8am van rental, which was confirmed online. When I arrived at 720am, there was one person to handle the line of customers waiting. After getting through the line, I was informed that the van was not ready, and would not be available until 1130am. I returned at 1115am, got in line again, and had to wait for twenty minutes to get through because there was one agent at the front counter to handle the line of people waiting. After that ordeal, I was pleased with the truck, and the return was much more efficient and speedy. You need to fix the reservation system so that reserved items are actually available at the time they are confirmed. I could have gone to another Uhaul and had a van available at the time if I had been given an accurate reservation. You need to make the checkout for reserved vehicles much more efficient. I stood in line for 20 minutes behind people who had not made reservations and who needed a great deal of time to do simple rentals but didn't have their documents or payment ready. What is the point of making a reservation if I end up waiting for those who didn't? Fix this. Your making it much more likely that I will just buy a truck of my own rather than use your service, because the hassle was infuriating.

improve counter and maintence customer service. We rec’d a filthy truck w opened candy bars and debris between the seats, dusty doors and dashboard. The counter guy who helped w rental didn’t ensure I had everything I needed in order to upload pictures of debris, stains and damage on exterior of truck before I left; therefore I had to later stay on hold w Uhaul for what seemed like eternity until man forwarded me what I needed to upload picks to my contract. We turned in truck early and w full tank of gas instead of 3/4 tank and did not get credit for that. Uhaul should be thankful it has renters when over services are less than par. Also, your online 24/7 service is way too complex for most. Consider making service easier for customers to use...like us. Thankfully the office was open at 8 and I could get counter assistance.

They were really busy so they hadn’t put several truck away properly and so I had to drive out twice then back in to drop off. They then asked me to park in the lane of traffic in the street with my flashers on. I did that for about 5 minutes and finally went down the street and made a u-turn and parked in the left hand turn lane. I really didn’t like the situation.

Upon arrival at the site there were eight customers in line, and only one staff member at the counter. She ran out of ink for her printer and had no idea where there might be more. Called other staff, they had no idea. I used the online app to check in fortunately, and bypassed all the other sorry suckers waiting for service--none of whom had been served after 40 minutes. Meanwhile there were several others in vehicles waiting outside to drop off equipment. I've experienced this level of incompetence and under-staffing at this location several times. If I can help it, I will not rent here again.

The only downside to this location, and it is significant, the lot is too small. Always a traffic jam to pickup or return a rental. At times it can be dangerous because of the traffic on Evergreen Way.

The counter people just ignored us for first 10 min then after checking out trailer it wouldn’t because it hadn’t been check in but we finally made it out . Truck had alignment and pulled right. The car trailer had a rt lite out . The people were nice that help us when they did get to us. After the rental return I had several calls about if a had the car trailer and I returned both and had the closed it out. The gal from another call center called to ask why I hadn’t brought back. The uhaul .org need to get their system up to date very unsatisfactory. I still will use U-Haul just because it makes that truck availability good for different situations.

It seems maybe this location is understaffed. I waited at the counter for at least 5 minutes before even seeing anyone, and when someone did appear they simply said hello and then left again. It was at least another 5 minutes before anyone else showed up and then I was asked to wait until I could be assisted. This is with a prescheduled appointment. My service started nearly an hour after the scheduled time and took 45 minutes longer than I was told it should. Parking at this location is very limited also.

I was told that the charge would be reduced if I returned the truck early. Instead of the 2 days that I reserved the truck, I was able to return it the same day but still got charged for two days. Now I can’t get anyone in the phone and no one responded to the email inquery. I need a truck again in a few weeks but I’m not using U-Haul.

The staff who did the actual delivery and pick-up were excellent. They were on schedule, friendly and accommodating as well as efficient and effective. My experience speaking with staff in your office was less so (they came across as tentative/unsure about certain aspects of the process and seemed much less interested in providing support that was of service to me). At both the beginning (April - May 2017) and end of my storage experience, it was the service provided by the drivers and on-site staff that stand out as excellent.
