the computers weren't working right, the very nice man at the counter had trouble getting anything to check out. Then on return I had to login from my phone to use the drop system, the app didn't work. We also purchased a hand truck which was not available when we picked up the truck.

When I came in to pick up my reserved truck, There were 2 customers waiting in front of me, but no one working at the counter. 5 minutes later the associate that was in the parking lot returned to help customers inside. It took me 45 minutes to pick up a truck, with my busy schedule, this definitely did not help matters.

The first problem was that all of my phone calls went to the call center, not to the location of the trailer I rented. I was on hold for about a half hour for each of several calls. Second, I asked about ties for my motor cycle and was told uhaul would supply them so I didn't get them myself. There were ties for sale at the location but the person there didn't know anything about them so I had no idea what to get or how to use them. I asked the person at the call center if there would be help from uhaul in loading and tieing down the bike.I was told there would be. At the location I was told that is something they don't do.My wife and I were watching Utube videos on our phones trying to figure it out when another customer was nice enough to help us out. The whole experience took way longer than it would have if we had the correct information coming in. We would have had the correct ties and known how to use them. It was also more stressful than it had to be.You need to have the people at the location answering these questions or make sure the people at the call center know how each location operates, the two are not on the same page. This delayed our departure and messed up our travel plans.

The agent needs to make sure that honor the customer's request location. I was sent to a locations at a greater distance in an unsafe area without an available representative to check the vehicle. I am sure it was an unintended error on the agent's side , punching in the wrong zip code and directing me to a far away location.

I was in a huge crunch and need a uhal to be able to move into my new apartment and had to do it all that day and the gentleman who helped me was so kind and curtious very understanding and super helpful. He’s a fantastic employee.

The employees are great - very helpful BUT there aren't enough of them to handle the number of customers. I had to wait in line for an hour to pick up my truck first thing in the morning. On another day I came in to get boxes, and it was the same situation, so I left. Hire more people please.

The parking lot was jammed full of trucks and trailers. One entrance was full, one was blocked by construction( nobody's fault), and one you could barely squeeze through. Once I got in the staff was very helpful

Without any staff the manager was alone to turn inventory around in a morning's time. The van I rented was gassed and had 1500 miles on it. The tires and side panels were caked in mud. The only time I have rented here, and I will again because they are great, that my rental was not clean on the outside.

I was way overcharged for fuel consumption: - I couldn't refuel it before dropping it back because I ran out of time after my pickup time was pushed for over 24 hours. - I drove the truck for 15.4miles and was charged for 5 gallons (assuming I drove it at 3mpg rate!!). Not sure how this calculation was done but it is very unfair and wrong. I am an Energy Engineer my core job is to make sure people use less Energy and conserve it. In my normal drives I try my best to keep the RPM on the green side in the UHaul and even my personal car, so maybe 15mpg might be a better and fair rate to use for the calculation. - I emailed the location at 799063_GM@uhaul.com but was ignored and never received a response!

Overall the customer service was fine. When I created the initial appointment I requested for a dolley and they said it would be included with the vehicle. When I showed up to pick up the vehicle I mentioned it to the person checking me in and he said it was good to go after he checked on the online portal if it was there. When I took the vehicle and checked the back it was not in there, bummer, this could of been a handy tool to use. I didn't call back to ask them about it because I didn't want to waste my allotted time. When I came back to return the vehicle I mentioned it to the personnel that was there at the time and he took note of it and said will not be included in the bill. That was the only discrepancy I had with the overall service, just really wanted the dolley to be there to use for the move. When I was there the person there mentioned that they did have a busy shift at the time.

I had too contact the store 3 times. all 3 occasions took an extremely above average extra long times too get someone too talk too. on no occasion was I able too talk too the store, I was redirected too call center operators. first time it took 28min too get through, sec time 21min, third time 24 min. when I was finally connected I was told misinformation. wrong pricing & details. over 1 hour on hold is way too long then not get proper info or detail is unacceptable. I have ZERO plans too ever use uhaul again.

This location is near a big college and therefore it is fairly a busy place. However usually only one or two people working at this location. Mainly one person works at the counter who does everything, which also includes checking in the returned rentals and checking out the rentals as well. He was very good and professional but he needs more help so people don’t have to wait longer.

The process to check in was extremely slow. I would like to see the system updated to be faster. The person I worked with was very nice and went as fast as the computer let him, but it was clear the workers were slowed down by the computer equipment because it was not fast enough.

Both Saturday for pickup and Sunday for return were VERY slow. Only 1 person working Sunday 3 people ahead of me and I was there over an hour to return. Saturday was two people in line and 45 minutes to do rental with all online pre stuff done. Terrible experience

My wait was ridiculous. Granted it was Saturday morning. My reservation was set for 10, I arrived at 945, still wasn't through the line until almost 11! Which was actually lucky because my online reservation was double booked, the one I was supposed to get hadn't been returned yet, but was actually behind me in line by about 12 people. I had a 4hr reservation that I lost 1.5hrs of waiting at the store. None of it would have happened if the website worked right. I couldn't pick it up using the website because it said the location wasn't working, but my location function was working on everything else.

After I called the distribution center for a update on my rental two days before, I was told I would know 24 hours before hand, which is a bit nerving since I needed to where I was picking up the trailer. Thankfully they send a confirmation that day and I was able to breath a sigh of relief.

Equipment Maintenance I rented a 6x12 enclosed trailer and when I left my destination I found that the lights to the trailer weren't working. I had to wiggle the wires inside the trailer to make them work and had to wonder if the were going to malfunction on my way back. The equipment needs to be repaired correctly so that a paying customer doesn't get involved in an accident due to faulty equipment.

Uhaul representative tells me to return truck with same amount of gas it has, and that it's currently at full. Paper has the "F" highlighted. I drive 13.3 miles. I go to the gas station 100 yards away before returning, and end up putting 5.4 gallons in before the hose clicks off. On returning, I ask the guy how many miles to the gallon these trucks get. He says 10-12. So I explain to him that I feel like I got a little ripped off (gas cost $15). He never once tries to empathize in the least; keeps pointing at the gauge on the paper saying "it tells you how much you need to put in to get it to where it's highlighted." Well, come on, man. After 13.3 miles, the gauge hasn't moved much if it all, and when "F" is highlighted, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I assume that comports with the usual definition of full, not 4 gallons less than maximum capacity. Moral of the story is I understand that it's their policy not to reimburse, and that if I followed directions (although when you're told you should "fill it up" before returning it, adherence with their directions is not the natural way to do so) I would have conceivably not overfilled; the biggest thing, and the reason I took the time to write this, is that the guy showed zero empathy for my "mistake" that cost me $12. Like, none at all. No acknowledgement that this situation would be bothersome to me. No "I understand, and I'm sorry if the guy used the term "fill it up." And of course, when I asked to speak with someone else, he was "the highest ranking employee there." Description: 5'7 white male, long unkempt hair and a beard, ~30 years old

When you make a reservation for a truck and request additional equipment the truck and equipment should be put in the truck and held. I got there and there were no equipment Dolly’s or furniture pads. It would have been hive to know they were out of the things I requested with my reservation before the day I needed the so I could have made other arrangements.

I have rented from this location twice and used the U-Haul app to make my reservation so that the vehicle would be ready when I arrived. Both times the truck was not ready and I had to go inside, wait in line, and complete the entire reservation process again. Either the employees at this location do no know how to use the online system or it simply does not work. Very frustrating.

I used the online reservation system and when I arrived at the facility my truck was not ready. It took almost 40 minutes to get my truck ready which is exactly what I was trying to avoid by using the online reservation system.

Very annoyed at the fact that we made a reservation at one location and was told that we had to go to another location across town. The employees at the airport were little to no help and had no problem telling me "oh well". After I frustratingly drove to the Henrietta location, I was pleasantly pleased with the assistance from Dave, the general manager. Overall the rental went okay, but I was less than impressed to begin with.

Karen In the traffic department in western ny was so rude to me. She was talking over to me, telling me that even though they booked the wrong time it’s not their fault it was mine because they tried calling me after my booking ( didn’t receive a call or text) to tell me. Her manager was just as rude they both had terrible customer service and attitudes over all. Beyond unprofessional!
