The vehicle exterior was salt encrusted and not washed. The passenger seat had dog hair on it, and the gas tank was only at half. The pick up was easy easy and quick. The price I paid was good and better than I would have paid at Enterprise.Robert S.

You guys didn't have a truck for me even though it was confirmed. Guy at the Lake Ave location in Rochester was super rude and just kept telling me to call 1-800-uhaul which isn't even enough digits for a phone number. Once I got ahold of the regional manager she was super nice and helpful. Was just a series of unfortunate events for the day.Dylan P.

Reservation was for 7am. No employee showed up at the location until 7:15. Employee did not apologize for being late. When he unlocked the door, despite a few people in line, he didn't even bother to hold the door open. Was virtually non communicative. Terrible experience.Lisa B.

Worn through wiring harness at truck connection. Worked ok... but had to spread the wires apart because it blew the running light fuse . The plate light was Also out. Other than that it was on great shape. I realize things like this happen. Need to tighten up on inspection of equipment.Aaron N.

I reserved my truck ahead of time and was told the morning of that there were no trucks available for my needs at State Street in Rochester, NY. Better communication between transportation and the store would've helped. I also did not realize your pick up location can be changed, my original request was for 1875 Culver Rochester, NY. The consumer should not be involved in the logistics, if any customer makes a reservation at a location it is to save on time and money. The equipment should be mad available at the customer's chosen location or the system should decline the order. I also spoke to representative that sent me to yet another store and that store 1875 Culver in Rochester, NY misplaced the key to Truck so I could not rent it. Also the manager Jose could not change my reservation so that I could drive it back and make it a round trip reservation. More power should be given to the managers or the computer system is poor. I had to drive to Henrietta, NY which was 13 miles in the opposite direction of my new home (where I was moving to). I was charged $43 dollars for gas although I added gas before dropping the truck off. It was the worse experience of moving I had and I lost 3 hours of moving time trying to figure it all out. Although I had a confirmed reservation online from the start of it all.Crystal M.

I have rented or returned at this Rochester NY location several times and have never had a problem. It is a dedicated U Haul store, and that fact inspires confidence. Returned on a busy weekend day but (evidently) the sole staff person was pleasant and handled the situation professionally. I would not hesitate to rent there again.Paul H.
I ordered shipping blankets & a hand truck that were not in the box. I didn't realize this until after I had left location. I me mentioned this to the agent on drop off & he said I would not be charged. I will monitor. The padlock wouldn't open. Also the check engine light was on for most if the time I had the truck but shutoff somehow on my way to drop it off. Thanks Sean G. KellySEAN K.

Store was a bit crowded with boxes and such, but the clerk was great getting me in and out on return . Very easy rentalCraig S.
The store was suppose to open at 7 am. We had scheduled the pickup of the cargo van for 8 am so we would have it for 8 hours. No one showed up to the store until after 9 am and only after I waited on hold for 30 minutes, calling Uhaul to let them know no one was there. So we finally got the van at 9:30 am and but still had to return it at 4 pm. Needless to say we were not happy..Mark W.
Very cluttered inside with boxes and supplies. Needs to be more organized in customer areaJohn N.
The auto transport was not ready for use. The straps to hold tires were a tangled, knot-tied mess. The person on duty really helped but he had other customers and was working alone. Took us almost 1/2 hour to fix the problem. This is the 3rd time we have rented an auto transport and 2 out of the 3 times a problem. No problem with auto transports we rent from Port Charlotte for return to Rochester. Wonder why and so should you!!!!!!leon Z.

You confirmed a truck one way in my online order. I received several e mails confirming and trying to sell accessories, then I called and confirmed the day before. Upon arrival I am told no truck available, and no one way trucks. Finally paid much more and drove junker both ways. Seems like a scam job. Thankstim B.

I have rented trucks/trailers at this location in the past.. Never had any negative issues. This time I rented a small van. It was dirty on the outside. The inside was FULL of dog hair, especially the seats. I did show the rental agent prior to my leaving the lotRichard P.

There was no verification on ID asked for or paperwork given. No contract was signed. Terrible customer service. Put more gas in the truck than needed and want a discount on the mileage as I put in quarter tank of gas more in it. Because I put in 75$ to ensure didn't have to stop to get more gas. Guy said no doesn't work like that. I've used uhaul couple months ago and had a great experience and this time was the complete opposite.Christina G.

Check the doors weekly or monthly. I almost hurt my shoulder and arm, twice, trying to close the rear door. A little grease here and there should help.Isaiah M.
The windshield wipers did not work. The motor was inoperative and the wipers were stuck half way up the window. The oil pressure would drop to zero and sound an alarm every few minutes. The rear tires were so bald that they had zero tread at all. Uhaul should be embarrassed they even rented this truck. I informed the employees at the counter and expect them to pull this out for maintenance.David P.

I ordered a auto transport trailer for 7:00AM the person was15 minutes late and made another customer wait as well. If the sign on the door tells you store opens at 7:00 AM that what should happen. Had a 10 ft box on reserve got to the store and was told that nothing was there for me. An hr on the phone I'm told I can't have a truck for 5 days because of high demand. I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE. absolutely a joke. I was dropped off and was stuck there so I ended up getting a van that was not enough room for what I needed. The truck sounded like it was having transmission problems. The ramp would not roll out and slide back in (one of the rollers underneath was stuck), the dolly I paid for was not in the truck. Customer service was non-existant.COLLEENM W.

I was supposed to pick up a trailer at 1:00 on Tuesday. I called the local customer service number on Monday to confirm that I could pick it up at 1:00 on Tuesday and when I arrived, I was told they didn't have a trailer for me. I had to come back later that day (30 minutes each way from my house) to get it.Randall S.
The truck was the worst I've ever been in. The wheel had to be angled 45 degrees to go straight, and the truck wobbled, the suspension felt like it would collapse at any moment.E P.
