The truck we had was unacceptable. We nearly had a wreck due to the fact that the hood wasn't closed when we got the vehicle and it flew up on us on the freeway and we nearly had a wreck. The oil light was on and the vehicle smelled of burning oil. When we turned it in we tried to discuss the issues with the clerk but they said sorry the manager wasn't there and we would need to call and deal with it later. Absolutely the worst service. I expect to be refunded a significant portion if not all of my money. I have photos of the issues. Please advise at soonest.

Oh my! Was I looking forward to this. So this perhaps is one of the most poorly run companies I have ever had the opportunity to unfortunately work with. This location does not deserve to be open plain and simple. Not only was the location open late when we arrived, they don't offer parking. Now.... you would think that if you operate a company that rents out vehicles for individuals to use for extending times that parking would be something important to offer. But no! I was told to "drive around until you find something" so, I did just that! FOR 45 MINUTES. So, that was the start to my day. And to top this off- my interaction with every single individual at this location was horrendous. I am unsure of who does the vetting for so called "owners" of locations though here's some advice from a regular customer, fire them ASAP! And I am not a regular customer by choice. This just happens to one of those monopolistic companies that people don't really want to work with but are obliged to simply by the way markets work. So, after almost an hour I got my truck and this is where the problems almost spiraled to a point of no return. I was given a truck with an empty tank below the empty line. So this was awesome. And actually I think this pretty much sums up how terrible of an experience this was. I also will end my review here as I am confident with almost 100% certainty that no one will ever read this and no subsequent action will come from this. It's a true shame because U-Haul has so much potential but has unfortunately succumbed to the monopolistic viewpoint and as a result, have disregarded the core needs of there business. Hopefully this changes one day and in the meantime, I will dreadfully continue to have to rent from U-Haul.

This place double charged me and tried to add an extra day on to my bill. i left and they refused to give me my money back and the manager wouldn't reverse the charges. still haven't received my money back and am stuck trying to figure out this issue.

I feel the truck I was driving was too old and the transmission ready to retired. The gas gauge was misleading the actual gas on the tank and therefore consumption. The gauge did not moved during the 80+ miles of usage. Your staff was friendly and customer service oriented. I suggest to renew your fleet.

Don't advertise that you can rent a u haul anytime ,when you can't. I booked a u haul rideshare 24/7 for Sunday morning 8.30am,I went to go collect my booed van to be told you only open at 9am and don't offer the service your website says you do. Wasted my time and I was late due to having to wait for your office to open to get the van

There was no customer parking in an area where street parking is very limited. There was no explanation of how to drop the vehicle off after closing time. Vehicle was mostly clean, however the oil was low and needed to be changed. I had no problems with the vehicle, as my move was local, just across town.

I don't understand why you blocked the entrances to the parking lot. There was very clearly a lot of space left near the exit where people can park and I spoke with numerous other people trying to return their UHaul who hit other trucks etc trying to fit into the entrance. You should either explain why you chose to block the exit entrance for after hours drop off or fix you system so people don't spend hours of their time trying to return their truck.

Your online booking system is faulty. I reserved a U-Haul Van online due to a very urgent and time sensitive matter. It was so urgent that I reserved it for a 5:30am pick up. To my surprise the reservation was cancelled over night and I did not receive a notice about this. My girlfriend was out in the cold across town with her furniture on the street, so this was an extremely stressed situation as I sat outside of u-haul with no hope of getting the transport I needed. Luckily, an associate at U-Haul showed up early to work today and noticed me distressed in the lot and was able to accommodate a van. Please update your website to appropriately provide dependable services for future customers. Sometimes we depend on services like your own for urgent matters and it would only benefit you to enhance brand sentiment with a badge of dependability. I share this with good intent, but I would be very hesitant to ever book through your company again.

THE MANAGER THERE IS INCREDIBLE RUDE INCONSIDERATE AND DISMISSIVE AND NEEDS MAJOR BEHAVIORAL ADJUSTMENT

1. Waited 30 after receiving key for someone to point at the truck and say it was ready the whole time. They appeared annoyed and said they were just trying to leave on time. 2. Had to get out after driving off lot and before highway to “tighten gas cap” - LED notice 3. Constant LED notice about “check tire pressure system”. Had to pull over and look up whether it was safe to continue driving the truck. 4. Gas tank showed less than 1/4 tank at time of pickup. We put the tank back to 1/4 5. Check trailer light on 6. Tire pressure light on 7. Vehicle wasn't responsive or quiet as any other vehicle (pickup truck, 10', or larger) we or our families have rented in at least the past 5 years. 8. These signs all add up to a single question: does it sound like this vehicle was properly inspected before we drove away? This was the least enjoyable and most aggregating truck rental. Not just for me, but out of any stories I've heard from friends or family. Uhaul is great and we will hopefully keep hiring Uhaul. Just, please, make this right. Thank you,

Everyone involved was super helpful. I went to my local uhaul dealer (thriftee mini storage) but they didn't have the truck size I needed available, so they found one, booked it, then gave me the address. Everyone at the pickup location was great too!

I ordered the 10 foot truck , and in the very last hour, I got a call from the location saying that only a 15 footer truck was available. The 15 footer was too big to drive and the door wire was jammed. Had to stay an extra day at the apartment where I lived. Got charged extra for a whole month because of that :( First time using uhaul was a horrible experience.

The truck I rented was a sad joke. So many broken parts I do not know where to start. Broken mirror propped up with cardboard, I was unable to see cars behind me, it was very dangerous. Indicator signals on console buzzed and blinked erratically. Downshifting when slowing down caused the truck to lurch and shake. Many interior parts very dirty and grimy, and loose/broken. Interior of windshield was so dirty I could not drive safely and had to pull over to clean it with my sweater.

Charging me $25 for not folding the used rental blankets that should have gone directly into a washer is outrageous! I'd like to know how you clean them is this age of COVID-19? Overall...The LA end of this trip was a disaster. The crew I hired through your website to unload my things was 1.5 hours late and told me they had been at another job! They were not nearly as good as the crew I hired on the San Jose end.

I would recommend disclosing how much the appliance dolly weighs. There weren't any dollies available and so the appliance one was recommended to me. I ended up not using it at all simply because the dolly was too heavy. Had I known, I would have avoided the additional charge.

Just want to make sure that y'all know that the employees were great. Just fucked up that my truck wasn't available and that I had to get a shorter truck - it was a total pain in the ass. It fucked up my move and I had to make more trips and I'm still waiting on my $50 refund which I had to beg for.

I arrived at 3:30 to pick up my reservation. The guy at the counter said their system was down. Waited til 4:15 when their system came back up only so the guy could tell me to go outside with my phone to do the mobile pick up. Online service couldn't verify my rental so after 20 minutes of going back and forth with the online agent they decided to help me at the counter. My rental was finally released at 5pm. Took an hour and a half. Save yourself the time and go to a location that has their act together.

Everything worked well except a employee Brian Florence. This guy should not work at any this kind of jobs. When I returned my big 17 'truck which is not easy to drive on 12/20 Sunday, he just pointed one specific parking spot and I parked there. but he said he didn't mean I parked there and asked me parked different space? As long as the spot is so small, I need some help to park correctly, and I politely asked him to help me. However, he just ignored me and said 'fuck, fuck, fuck' all the time, with other offensive words together and acted like he is gangster? There was no any other customer but he said he is busy? and I need to wait until he wanted???? I don't know how U-Haul hire this kind of person who has really bad personality in customer service department? This is really most ill-favored experience in my life, and he totally ruined my moving day which is really important day for me. I really want to know how can I complaint about this displeased experience. Please, let me know if you guys any more question about the situation regarding the unpleasant employee 'Brian Florence'

I was called when my reservation was 20 minutes late telling me to get back ASAP or I would be charged. I got back ASAP and didn't get gas because of that. Funny enough the service worker told me that as long as I deliver same-day its fine and that I didn't need to rush. I got charged a premium for gas. Great stuff.

The employees were rude and left us standing around waiting at every stage of the rental. I stood around inside ignored when I arrived. When we got back a lady ran up and told us to just wait till they pulled a truck up and then she disappeared. We waited nothing happened. After awhile I found a guy and said I can't find the lady I have to go. He acted like I spit in his face and went thru the process of his job like a I was a child. I honestly wanted to toss the keys to him and walk off but I didn't want to make a scene so I let him run his mouth. If you're understaffed bc of Covid I get that. And the lady did seem to be busy when I arrived. Everything but the guy I would've shrugged off bc of the how things are right now with the virus. But that guy who checked the truck back in likes to run his mouth like he knows he's not gonna get in a fight. I didn't like that at all. There are a lot of people desperately needing a job rn and if he doesn't like his job he should quit.

The one thing is that I requested a cargo van and they had lost the key to the van that I was assigned to. I needed the van for a very specific clearance issue. I had to take a bigger truck and it really put me behind schedule. Put other than that it was great.

Checked in online yet I had to wait a long time. The truck seem very old and rickety. I brought that back that night after being exhausted. Put all the data in and it seem to have disappeared I expected it went in as I collected every ounce of data it asked me. I left got back on the phone waited about an hour till somebody answered they promised me I would not be charged money because I never did get a confirmation that my online submission went through I was still charged. The worst customer service almost like the DMV. The move that they should've been the most stressful thing but the truck with the most stressful thing. Got it back on time to ensure I would not get charged a fee try to use the app and it failed me and I still get charged. Two hours on the phone dealing with them. I'm personally in customer service and when I see great customer service I praise it. This was horrible
