First the truck I rented did not work - could not get the parking brake to release, AND the key did not work to turn the truck on. THEN, I had to fill up with 4,5 gallons even though I only went 28 miles (the very helpful local agent told me the truck runs 10 miles to the gallon; obviously I hadn't been given a truck with a full tank). I let it go but overall, probably won't rent from UHaul again :(

Insurance number on my car was clearly shown but the attendant could not verify that I had it updated and paid for it. I had to call my insurance carrier for this proof. There should be an electronic way to have this checked out.

Once again, the website is beyond broken for certain mobile devices. I'm willing to talk with a U-Haul representative to go into further detail with my experience with the self check-out.

The amount of gas in the vehicle was innacurate. I had to go back into the office to have them correct the amount in the record so that I did not get charged tge wrong amount.

I had no heat in 10' truck I rented,and Hartleys in Cortland(pokeviliie) said it was Uhauls problem Uhaul said it was Hartleys problem, and I never got a discount from either one of them.

Only thing I would like to see is an option for a half day rental. And 1 minute over the max is now a full day rental.

I had ordered a truck and the on line site indicated it was available. When I got to the store, it wasn't, gave me a van instead which resulted in me having to make two trips vs. one loaded trip hence costing me more in mileage. Was disappointed.

I was treated like my time didn't matter. I scheduled the appointment in August, prepaid, got booked for October, showed up on my appointment date, and got turned away because they didn't have the parts in stock. They could have called, but nope, I drove the whole way in just to be turned away. They said they'd be in touch when they get the parts. 10 days later I call in to see what's taking so long and when I get scheduled, and they say they have the parts in stock and can hook me up the very next day. So, either I'm extremely lucky to have called them the day the parts came in, or they just didn't bother to call and schedule with me. Scheduled for a few days later, showed up, was told I wasn't on the schedule for that day. They said they'd squeeze me in and make it work, and my car would be done by 1230, and they'd call me when it was finished. I call at 4 to see what's taking so long, and they tell me it's been done for a while. Its hard for me to imagine a worse experience customer-service wise.

My initial appointment for the installation of a trailer hitch to my 2021 Toyota Highlander was not honored. When I appeared at the specified time and date, the hitch had not even been received. My subsequent appointment for 10 AM on 10/26/2021 was delayed until sometime after 1 PM. This made for unnecessary travel on my part. Very disappointing.

With the exception of the woman (Stacey) that works there, the customer service was HORRIBLE!!! The manager was worthless and the no one could be bothered to help people. (Again with the exception of the lady who helped both times)

Pro rate the cost for returning it with more gas then you gave and for returning it days earlier then you made me take. I felt like I over paid for a same day drop off.

A couple of chairs for customers waiting for hitch installation would be great. Not everyone can drop off their vehicle and leave while the hitch is installed. Employees were friendly, polite and helpful.

The air conditioning did not work from New York to California. I was disappointed with that fact...but it was an uneventful trip other than no air conditioning.

Ordered a 20 foot truck 3 weeks before pick up all they had was 15 foot. Now have to make extra trip to get the rest of my stuff. Filed a complaint and nobody got back to me. If you have any other options don't use uhaul. It seams they just don't care. I will use pensky next time

Should not be charged to return equipment. Was charged to unhook a car dolly. The customer should not have to pay to have it unhooked should have been included in rental fee.

The truck I rented was fine and everything about the transaction was exactly what I expected…so all good. But I want to give a big compliment to Steven, the General Manager, who was managing the entire operation single handedly. In this COVID restricted world, the folks like Steven who show up and keep things going, sometimes by themselves, are real heroes. U-Haul needs to thank him too.

Customer service is always excellent at this location! Bike racks on site would be a great addition. So many folks, especially students, use bikes in Ithaca to get around.

Gas gauge reading was incorrect when I picked up the truck - informed staff and took picture of the reading - was still charged for not enough gas on return even though he had written on my slip the correct amount - which was in the truck when I returned it. Also the back of the truck had dirty carpet in it, and the check engine light came on and stayed on - both items were reported to the office. Don't appreciate the extra charges on my account when I informed the staff the the gas reading on my paperwork was incorrect. I confirmed with staff when I left that everything was ok - just to get the additional charge on my card after the fact. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have rented from Uhaul several times and have generally been pleased with the Uhaul experience. Recently I had a bad experience. When rented the van, it was not clean inside or out. The van gas tank was 1/4 full. The van had sustained damage from an accident on the right front corner (bumper, plastic wheel trim, and cracked turn signal) and based on my conversation with the manager, he knew about the accident but the damage was not marked on the van. I was not offered another van parked on the lot. I spent an hour of my time at rental checkout on paperwork and documenting prior the damage to the vehicle.

The mobile pickup and dropoff system on the website is incredibly terrible. The website does not accept photos on some cell phones, so I needed to use my laptop to complete the pickup. Additionally, the driver's license verification with a U-Haul is very slow. I would be willing to give further comments on my experience, as I'm willing to believe that these issues are more pervasive.

The van I was given had a back door that screeched VERY loudly upon opening. It hurt my ears, no exaggeration! I told the U-haul employees upon my return, and they went to work on it. However, there were several other vans available. This van could have been taken out of rotation until the problem was fixed.

The cargo van that I rented ahead of time was available so I had to rent a 10ft truck. Which would normally be ok, except I was charged at the higher rate even though the fact that I had to rent the truck wasn't my fault. The manager refused to give me the lower mileage rate I would have gotten with the cargo van
