I have always used U-Haul and always had a good experience. However, when returning my trailer today the employee did not seem stable. He swore at me the whole time he unhooked the trailer. Got angrier when I offered to help and then wouldn't give me his name when I asked to speak to his manager. My main reason for writing this is so hopefully it is taken care of before getting worse.

The morning manager that opened the store on Sunday July 7th went above and beyond for me. The truck I reserved at least 3 weeks prior was not available because a previous customer failed to return it on time. The manager found me a larger truck at no extra charge so I could move my belongings as planned. Well done sir!!

I kept getting text messages that indicated that I needed to go to the 16503 - Highway 99 location in Shoreline WA. I called the Kenmore location twice to assure that I was schedule to pick up in Kenmore and they assured me that I was scheduled to pick up in Kenmore and NOT shoreline, but I had to make several phone calls to kenmore location to confirm and was put on hold for some time.

I was on hold for 50 minutes just to extend a rental I was currentyl using. This killed an hour of move-on time that I was on the clock for. The in-person service was great at the location but it's way too hard to get ahold of a rep if you need anything.

Be reasonable about return time. I picked up a trailer at close on Saturday and dropped off at 5am Tuesday morn. and got charged 3 days rental. Seems a bit unreasonable. I've rented from the same place for years, but no more.

From my recent experience, this location is tragically understaffed. Only two people working during my pickup (which took nearly an hour with 4 people in front of me), and only one person there for drop off, when the entire lot was backed up with overnight drop offs. The truck itself was in pretty rough shape. It was clean and as presentable as it was going to be, but there was enough physical damage that passenger door couldn’t close properly, and the mirror could only point down.

Though the U-Haul we ultimately ended up using was efficient the experience with U-Haul today was incredibly frustrating. We had made a reservation and the confirmation sent us 25 minutes out of the way. Once we got there they were closed. Not just closed, not even open on Sunday. How does that happen?! I called U-Haul and was on two simultaneous calls one on my phone and one on my husbands. On hold for 20 and 30 minutes respectively just be be sent in another direction another 20 minutes out of the way. They may have $50 guarantee that you'll get your rental but dosen't mean you dont have to jump through hoops to get it. Not even a sorry for the inconvenience they caused us...

Scheduled a install for a trailer hitch Tuesday at 10 am. I get an e mail telling me it’s now 1 pm. I called they told me the installer was double booked. So I show up @ 1 pm. Little did I realize the day was changed as well as I did not notice the date change. Now if the email,had told not Tuesday but Wednesday. I would have noticed. When I called to get my deposit back they took my credit card info put me on hold for 14 minutes before I finally hung up. Service is terrible, the day change was never approved by me they just send an email, then I spent between the store and the u haul center over 20 minutes on hold. Just to get my deposit back. Never hope I have to use u haul again.

this was the second time in a month that I rented from this location. Both times the staff was terrific...knowledgeable, patient, quick, and thorough. The equipment excellent both times too. I’m thankful to all three staff members who helped me check the equipment out and back in. But a special thanks to Jennifer at least I hope that is her name. She helped me both times when I checked out. SUPER job! Very kind and helpful. She really made my stressful move days a lot easier.

Mobile (app) was very efficient. The onboarding process for a new user should be more obvious - steps I could have handled before arriving were not called out when I booed the reservation and downloaded the app. The staff at checkout were extremely friendly and helpful

The back tail light fell out pulling into my driveway, 5 minutes away. I called and explained I'd rewire it as returning it for repair or replacement was not an option for me that day. Shandra said okay though I didn't give her a choice. I just reattached wires and of course, duct taped it. Held up for the whole trip.

I had mu uhaul reserved at 8 am on Sunday. When i booked the uhaul nobody told me that the location opens at 9am. There was no instruction anywhere how to get the car. I valled uhaul but waited inline for 30 minutes without getting any real person on phone. At 8.20 am a friendly uhaul employee came to work. He helped me with the reservation prior his work shift started. 5 stars to him. When an uhaul is rented on web you should tell that the store is not open and how to get a car in those cases. On window there was in very small text about a service text but it only talked about 24 drop off nothing about how to pick up the car if store is closed. Web pages didnt have that clear guidance either, and it started to ask creation of accounts etc. Because of that your service was very bad this time! Five movers were waiting an hour outside of my house because i didnt get the car on time.

The corporate mobile check-in experience is sub-optimal. It required too many photos and redundant steps. On-site which could have been pre-confirmed more easily during the booking process. Onsite customer experience for mobile check in was ludicrous. First, I had to stand in line to find out where my truck might be parked. This is because the trucks were tightly parked, and you couldn’t see left side on all vehicles. I’d suggest putting numbers on front/back bumpers instead of “left side”. Once I started check-in, I had to go inside to wait in line to get the key to fill out miles/fuel level. It actually took me twice as long to checkout due to all the information required (which could have been collected when I scheduled the rental) You need to workflow the process out for a better customer experience. Also, calling a second party to confirm rental is redundant. You have driver’s license, photos, credit card, etc. Seemed overly complicated when today I can go anywhere in town and pick-up a green bike in minutes. Overall it took me about an hour to get into my truck. People that arrived later than me and picked-up directly got out faster than I did. I give the whole mobile check-in experience an F-.

the service was great. Our fuse was blown and the attendant installed our new one. Also, before we set off on our trip my husband opened the door on trailer with the handle in such a position that the door rolled up too far and we couldn't close it. I called the help number and someone was here to fix promptly.

I am not sure what my U haul agents name was at the Kenmore Branch both at pick up and delivery... but he did an awesome job. It was fairly busy but he never panicked nor rushed anyone but was berry efficient, and was 100% focused on who he was with. Including trying to take care of a client on the phone whom he was trying to take care of. He was courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful. On return he was great as well and even asked for the survey... well he deserves a great survey. He was the best representation of U haul that I have had. He deserves some recognition for a job well done.

I had a truck and trailer reserved at this location for five weeks. The day before they called to say I would need to pick up the truck at another location. Understandable. They can't be responsible when a person brings back a truck on time. I was still to pick up a transport trailer at this location. I tried to call the day before to double-check that it indeed would be ready for us. I waited one and a half hours while a woman named Jennifer swore at the computer and messed everything up for every customer so that the fella who worked there had to come in and clean up her mess. Literally. I went in person because I had tried to get through to customer service on the phone for 1 and 1/2 hours and was unable to get my questions answered. The day of pickup we had the truck from the other location, came to pick up the trailer right on time. Same woman was messing everything up again. 1 hour and 40 minutes later after listening to her scream and yell and swear at the other person working there and was again messing up everybody's orders as we were only one of six customers in the store at that time. She finally slammed out the door. She was literally dropping the F-bomb and calling people names. She needs to not work there or anywhere again. She needs to be fired immediately. My 30 year old niece spoke up and told them this was the most unprofessional behavior she had ever seen and that they needed to stop it now. Everybody in the store was absolutely speechless and disgusted. I will never, ever, deal with this business again. I will also make sure that anybody within hearing distance, or social media, will know to avoid this business at any cost. By the time I was done I felt like I should have been reimbursed for every penny I paid due to the inconvenience of all of this. I also had to pay somebody to load my truck since I lost one of my workers due to the fact that it took two extra hours to get the trailer in place. Moving is extremely stressful and I did everything in my power to make sure that everything was in line. This company failed me miserably. I am angry and I am frustrated. If there is such a thing as reimbursement please reimburse me for the amount charged on my MasterCard. I deserve it.

The biggest drawback of this location is that I could not leave my vehicle at the location while I used my Uhaul rental. Finding parking near this location was not easy because some areas are posted as customer use only/will tow or only allowed two hour parking. I used the Truck Share 24/7 pick up process. One caution/info that would have been very helpful: you must give the Uhaul website permission to see your location. I do not share my location on websites, so I automatically denied access to Uhaul, only to realize that I could not proceed with pickup because the Uhaul website didn't know my location.
