Dramatically understaffed, specifically around the counter help. Staff behind the counter often spent extended periods of time talking informally with customers while the line grew longer. Additional counter staff would see the extended line and not jump in to assist the team.

Only 1 rep was working with a long line of customers. We had online check in but online checking wasn't working well because there was no WiFi at the location. We just had to ask 1 question and couldn't get that through, both at pick up and drop off. I did appreciate the nice and clean equipment, but did not appreciate the customer service. Of course, not the rep's fault but only 1 person dealing with too many people. The company needs to handle their manpower better.

I was delayed in getting my uhaul by 30+ minutes, told by the counter person that my storage spot reserved next door has rats, then upon his recommendation cancelled tgat reservation and ultimately had to wait 90 minutes to get another. Therefore my 10AM to 6PM reservation was actually 10:49AM to 6:39PM but I was charged double.

I planned to us the self-checkout (whatever you call it) process, and the advance information and emails said I could pick up my van up to an hour early. I showed up about 5 minutes before the time I had specified (9:00 am), expecting to have the van shortly after 9:00. I logged in to the website, and got the message that I could not start the process until 9:00. At 9:00 I tried again. The van that was "reserved" for me wasn't where it was supposed to be. I eventually located it, and started the process. The verification of my ID took forever - I finally gave up and went to the counter for help. I told him what van I was supposed to get, and was told that van had been rented to another customer! I gave up on the online process and rented van at the desk. I could have saved myself half an hour if I'd started there.

Had to wait a very long time to get helped. Prices were high. Got docked for gas even though I tried to top it off at return to same level as shown on paperwork. Grateful to have gotten a truck on same-day notice but experience was worse than other rentals in the past.

The cost was really high for a trailer rental. Also the trailer that was first giving to me was not in good condition it had two bad tires I asked if I could take the trailer that had the good tires I took the trailer from Washington To Florida Overall the trailer was fine it was just really expensive for the four days I used it

You can start by not expecting the customers to do the job of the UHaul employees. The drop box spring are used for a reason. I work for a large moving company doing long haul I shouldn't be expected to waste 15 minutes of my time after moving a customer with tonnage in upwards of 20,000 lbs. I am personally offended by a charge you are charging customer for not checking in after hours. That is your employees responsibility after all I'm not getting paid to do there job. My time is just as valuable as the next person's. You need to treat your customers with that respect.

Provide parking for customers! There's plenty of room on your lots for ppl to park, yet you have all of about 5 parking spaces. Then you inform all others to park across the street and either run across a 4 lane hwy or walk down to the next crossing (3 blocks in both directions). Fairly ridiculous. Your lots are plenty big. Customers are already stressed out about moving, stop adding to that stress!

It took the owner six complete tries to process my rental. This is after the first location didn't have the rental reserved. Then the owner told me I could return the trailer at a location close to me. This proved not to be the case. I was overcharged substantially and wasted extra gas between locations.

Poor service and not enough workers... Waited almost 45 min to an hour trying to rent a truck... Even when your returning the truck have to wait almost an half hour to 45 min to return the keys... And there's always a line of customers waiting...smdh! Need to hire younger workers who are fast and efficient for this kind of job..... Very disappointing! :(

I made the mistake of reserving online. I specified I wanted to use the 19130 Hiway 99 location, but when I went there I found the system had picked another facility for me. The manager got that straightened out in short order and I was able to get the van I wanted and be in my way. If there is some way you can put in your system that I will only rent there it would be much appreciated. That is my only complaint.

General Manager was not friendly and appeared totally ‘set in his ways’! I gave him my drivers license and told him to take all the information off of that, however he told me that I had to give it to him verbally -very strange! Had I not needed a truck right away I would have gone to another location or competitor.

Morning crew seemed nice and attentive. Dropped off at 1:30 pm different staff. Pulling teeth to get someone to acknowledge Im dropping off a trailer. Fat red head guy would not make eye contact or speak. Skinny tweaker looking guy was on cellphone in a truck and I had to say hey get this trailer. Ridiculous.

This U-haul location can do a better job with their organizational skills and being honest and forthright for the next customer. I made a hitch appointment to drop off my car at 10:00, but U-haul called that morning to tell me the hitch guy didn’t arrive until noon. They made it seem on the phone like if I got there on time, they had a couple easy things to do, but my car would be done fairly quickly. I only made the appointment at this location because Kenmore didn’t have the part, but they apparently did. When they finally called to tell me my car was ready, they said they had to go to Federal Way go pick up the part.

Fix your centralized truck reservations - I initially selected what your Web site said was one of two trucks available at a neighborhood store. They called to tell me they never have that truck available and that person rescheduled for a different store. That store then had a 12:00 reservation when I asked for 9:00. Once I finally was working with the store, it was fine.

It was disappointing to discover when we brought the truck back to find the mileage cost was $1.45 per mile. I did not see anything that warned about the mileage cost on a Friday 7pm to Sat 7pm rental. I would have prepared differently how we went about the move if I'd known. It cost me un-needed expense.

I choose u-haul location on location, not skills of employees. For both pick up and drop off we worked with a person who said he had been there a while, however had issues with basic things on the computer, and somehow missed the flat tire on the front drivers side both on getting in and driving it to the pickup point. He was friendly, but not enough to make up (as someone that is friendly and makes errors I give a lot of leeway for that type of thing, but that was a bit much).

Wait time for pickup was unacceptable. After spending the time to go through reserving and checking in online, having to wait close to 30 minutes in the store for pickup was an unpleasant surprise. We were told if we had a reservation we could cut our wait time by using the app, but that was not available for trailer rental. Staffing at busy times could be improved greatly to cut down on wasted time for customers. Similar experience when returning trailer- very disappointing.

UHaul completely messed up our electrical system on our Explorer. After a year and thousands of dollars later, they traced it back to the hitch. Our rear left brake lights stopped working, our right seat warmers stopped working, our blinkers would randomly stop working, our rear air would never turn off, and much more. I am seriously thinking I should take this to civil court.

The morning staff was fine but your online check in took so long that I wanted to cancel it. (over 20 minutes) The staff in the afternoon was horrendous! The man at the counter couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time and after waiting in line for almost 15 minutes while someone ELSE was having trouble with your online check in, he told me I couldn't return something that I didn't need without my receipt when I just bought it less than 12 hours ago and it was in their system. He apparently didn't know how to do that. This experience with the afternoon shift was pitiful!!!!! Please fix your online check in-out and TRAIN YOUR STAFF!

It is almost as if the employees are inconvenienced to be there and that they are doing you a favor by helping you. A model of inefficiency. To reserve a truck online, you have to go through all the upselling options (insurance, dollies, pads and packing stuff). Then as an OPTION you can upload a picture of your Drivers License via your smart phone. Guess what happens when you go to the counter to pick up your truck? You gotta do the entire thing over again as though you never did it in the first place. And that OPTION of uploading a picture of your Drivers License via your smart phone? It's no longer an option but a REQUIREMENT. I asked what happens if a customer doesn't have a smart phone. Also asked why he couldn't just copy the info down. Response? Shrugged shoulders and the "I just work here" line even though his name tag says 'owner' on it. Advice to future customers: Find a different location. Maybe a location that employees people who WANT to be there.

I got a UBox and talked with the employee there who said to let him know when I was finished to ship it. Came back and he box had shipped prior to me being finished. The box was going 3500 miles away
