For starters you can't get anyone on the phone at the store. I was on hold for 23 min before I hung up. That happened twice. When I was in line at the store for another 20 min 3 employees behind the counter two were training one the phone rang 3 times no effort was made to answer it. When I asked the assistant manager about it I was told that they aren't obligated to answer the phone. That was my first complaint NO customer service. My second complaint is they DONT honor there own contract or what there website says and make up lies to justify it

If as a customer you're given the option to extend a reservation online. Management at Rental Pick Up Location shouldn't hassle or infringe its customer as to when to return equipment. To do so is very poor customer service. This is the experience I encountered at this Rental Location.

YOU CAN TELL MICHAEL ISN'T THERE ANYMORE. WHEN I WENT TO RETURN MY TRUCK IT WAS 4:50 P.M. ON A SUNDAY (CHECK THE CAMERAS) AND NO ONE WAS AT THE COUNTER. THEN THE GUY CAME OUT OF A BACK OFFICE AT 4:55 P.M. AND TOLD ME THEY CLOSE AT 5 AND I HAD TO DO A SELF CHECK IN. I LET HIM KNOW I WAS THERE IN PLENTY OF TIME AND HE IGNORED ME AND POINTED TO THE SIGN ON THE WINDOW. I COULDN'T DO THE SELF CHECK IN AS THE STICKER ON THE TRUCK WOULDN'T SCAN. I ASKED HIM AS HE WALKED BY (HE WAS STILL PARKING ABOUT 10 UNITS THERE) AND HE STILL IGNORED ME AS HE WALKED DIRECTLY BEHIND ME. I FINALLY CALLED THE 800 NUMBER AND A KIND GENTLEMAN HELPED ME GET IT CHECKED IN. THIS TOOK ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO COMPLETE AFTER BEING ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME. AS I DROPPED THE KEY IN THE RETURN BOX, THE GUY WAS STILL INSIDE WITH THE GIRL WORKING THERE ALONG WITH A COUPLE OF DOGS AND HE STILL WOULDN'T EVEN LOOK MY WAY. I HAVE ALWAYS RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE FOR RENTALS AND TRAILER HITCH'S WHEN I AM ASKED, BUT AFTER THE WAY I WAS TREATED AND IGNORED THAT DAY, I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN. SOMETHING HE COULD HAVE DONE IN 2 MINUTES TOOK ME 45!!! VERY.....VERY.....RUDE!!!

I made my reservation a week in advance. When I arrived, I was told the truck I rented wasn't available and that there was nothing that could be done. After a few minutes, the staff member told me the truck was in fact on site and that it would be ready shortly. How could people possibly plan a move if trucks get reserved and are basically told, oh well, if the equipment isn't on site?

I rented one of the 26 “ trucks for the 2nd time and, like the first time, it was completely out of gas. I was was told that people cut the fence and steal the fuel. It just screws your itinerary because you have to wait for them to refuel the rig with a little 3 gal. Can so you have to run to the nearest gas station and refuel.

The staff was friendly, very helpful and professional. The trailer however was not cleaned by the previous renter. Not a big deal since we had to return it cleaned. I would recommend this location and would definitely come back if I needed equipment in the future.

I had a fine experience renting a U-box and having family heirloom furniture delivered to my son in Oregon. This was more convenient and safer than renting a trailer, taking time off work and delivering it myself, especially with a pandemic going on. The price was reasonable and it was great working with the U-Haul folks in Tualatin, too.

Rental was fine. In and out in a timely matter. I forgot to self return the trailer, but they took care of it for me and I wasn't charged anything additional, so that's a plus. Overall satisfied with my rental.

In my most honest opinion, there's absolutely no improvement necessary. It's so obvious that they know what they're doing in assisting you and your needs to make your moving experience a smooth transition. The professionalism is second to none. Thank you again Uhaul.

Two of the four tires on the utility trailer I rented were very low on air pressure. The air pressure was at 10 PSI per tire. In addition the web site showed no trailers were available due to a PC glitch. Had to call the location to verify trailer availability.

I had an appointment at 8am and the location did not open til 9. I received a call specifically to attend that location two days before. I received no mobile instructions. I was forced to wait an hour and then when they finally opened they said they didn't have my truck. They were not helpful. The two workers didn't care to help and had no suggestions. I had to call the corporate number just to be told that the location did in fact have my truck. Don't use uhaul, don't go to this location. A $50 discount was not nearly enough for the disaster my moving day started with

There's really nothing to improve on at this Uhaul location. Staff is always on Point. The equipment is always immaculately clean. They make sure you are completely satisfied they do as far as paperwork is concerned, as well as that needs to be done. They are truly professionals there. Especially the manager. Not sure if the person that helped me but he was awesome, fast and friendly service. I had the wrong hitch/ ball on my truck and he directed me on the right things to get. He actually took the time to check all my lights and did a walk around the rental to make sure I was taken care of. A+ rating. Will definitely be renting again from this location!!!

Once again I'm so flabbergasted about the five star treatment I receive from the (Essential Staff here). It never gets old. I especially like the way they make sure vehicle you rent is freshly sanitized, giving me that peace of mind that my family and I safe from whatever Germs that may have been left from the previous user. And that's very important these days. We Thank you so much Uhaul for caring about your customers.👍🏾

I walked into the location to find the employee was not wearing a mask and several of the customers were also not wearing masks. No one was asked to put one on and the employee never sanitized hands. I was extremely concerned for my health the entire time I was there and even after getting my van. I will be getting myself tested in 4 days and if I'm positive you can almost bet that's where I got it. I received my van with items from a previous renter still in the van, it had not been cleaned or sanitized (cup holders were dirty, handles sticky, everything was kinda gross, etc), the engine oil indicator was on as needing changing, and the tire pressure light was also on. The employee stated they had fixed the tire pressure but the indicator needed repair and the oil should be good for more trips. I said alright and took it. Tire held fine but the engine started squeaking by the end of the time I had it. I also discovered that the left turn signal did not work at all and had to use hand signals. While the vehicle did run I had a terrible experience and would not recommend this location (maybe company?) to anyone... Especially for the absolute disregard for public health and lack of covid safety. I understand a level of risk comes with renting anything right now but it shouldn't be THAT bad. Very concerned for my health but hopeful things stay fine.

They had no idea where our truck was when we arrived at the guaranteed appointed time (2pm). They had no way to reach the customer who had rented the truck before us. We did not get out truck until nearly 6pm, and had to make two trips between Chowchilla and Merced to try to get the ball rolling.

This facility is severely understaffed. Had reservations yet waited over 30 minutes with more than 20 people in the store. The two people working were not wearing masks and given the pandemic, it is unacceptable given many people in the store were elderly and likely in poor health. I had attempted to contact the GM via text and they informed me of their situation. I intended to escalate to the next level up and likely still will based on my interaction with the employee. When I returned the trailer, another 30 minutes and I finally just dropped the trailer myself. If you are truly interested in my extremely poor experiences, please contact me at 209-631-2610 (Dave). If I don't hear from anyone consider this my last time I will patronize Uhaul. I have had numerous bad experiences and those all paled in comparison with this latest one.

Customer rep at the rental counter was excellent! 5 stars. Ball popped on the hitch while driving van onto trailer. Chains saved the tailgate. Recommend wheel chocks to prevent trailer from moving while loading

The front desk girl Megan Brock was awful. She was on her phone in front of me texting not using it to work. When I came back to drop off the truck I came in to check out she asked if she could help me and I said yes I'm here to drop off the truck/check out and she sat there for ten minutes before she asked if we were waiting on the gentleman that helped me outside. It took her 5 seconds to check me out after that she asked that question. I have never used you guys before and I don't plan on it again. Moving is stressful enough and she did not help one bit.

I reserved a 15 feet truck and they didn't have any and then one came in but wouldn't start. I was told I needed to wait for someone to come jump the truck. I also reserved appliance dolly and there were none. Horrible service

I've rented from here before, many times. This is the first time that service checking in was shoddy at best! Thw 1 service person there at 4;15 on on 12.4.20. Was slow, didn't ask the line of 5 other people that they werr short of personnel or even attempted to help or touch basis. The rental itself was FINE. Checking out was much better with 2 Ers at the counter and the diff check out person was much more personable and helpful. But then again , there were only 2 customera checking out and the person attending to the one customer was the one that was there earlier and he didn't bother to tell me that another service rep was right next to him and could help me. If it wasnt that the EE who checked me out was tall and I noticed him, I would have been waiting there until the inattentive first employee checking out the first customer was done.

I prepaid to save time, but I was there 50 minutes and still had to answer all the questions I did online and provide my credit card. The young man was very nice, but both staff members were wearing their masks under their chins.

Communication was geared to focus on the customer and their needs. Paying attention to the fact that moving is a stressful time and details can get missed as distractions are going to happen. Having an assistant to process a client in to toaU-Haul large truck and pointing out safety features and operating equipment is most important. Marc Kneer was excellent in public relations and most helpful.

Terrible experience will never rent from Merced. I've always relied on uhaul have never had a problem. But, after this absolutely will never. I used the app. I informed the representative that it was my first time. I had scheduled an 8:30am pick up. When I arrived on time. The representative said I'm sorry but no one did the 24/7 so I'd have to wait until they opened at 9am. Then she took my phone i have her the key code she handed me the keys and I left. 40 minutes later she calls me and says you rented it for on town and I couldn't do the drop off so I had to pay extra, didn't get to move and both the manage who was off didn't help. Worst experience ever.

Bathroom was dirty and OOO one visit. I actually plunged the toilet once, gross. Other issue is was promised a $5 charge for box storage and was then charged $80. Need to follow your word.
