Lied about the rates and a number of other things. Am paying over 700 $for the use of the rental truck. Used it for less than a day. Brought it back undamaged and clean. Wont use the salt lake city location again. I have used uhaul for years when i needed a truck and have never had a problem before now.JACKSON E.

I had issues on my trip and they had no interest in helping me resolve them.Norbert R.
The staff was not friendly. I was well warned that if I didn't fill up the gas tank I would be charged very high fees. They were very busy, which is not their fault, but by the time I got in the vheicle and turned it on the tank was only 3/4 full. I couldn't get anyone to come and look at it with me, they told me I would have to wait my turn (again, they were busy). I had to leave. When I returned the vehicle, after putting 6,5 gallons of gas in it (I drove 24 miles), I told them about the not full tank. They siad there was nothing I could do about it. I asked how I could have possibly used 6,5 gallons of gas to go 24 miles, and they said unless I had taken care of it before I left initially, thier was nothing I could do. We arrived at the location just barely before 5 PM on 10/10 to return the truck. The man at the counter said that they were almost ready to close and we could not return the vehicle. He proceeded to tell us that we needed to do the return online (we were charged extra for this service). Meanwhile, the employee stayed around the office for some time chatting with other employees. One of the trailer tires had a leak (two nails in it). The tire was delivered at about 20 PSI but the other tires were at 60. Checking the tires before sending out would be nice, but I understand that it's a lot of work just to find the very occasional low tire. I still plan on using this uhaul. Not throw away people things when you say you'll work with them when made aware of someone's personal ongoing circumstances and yet try to charge for after you take back your truck after saying you'll notify someone when you get keys to open a truck because a situation arose where keys go missing and yet you still threw someone's personal sentimental things of 40-60 years of things And stuff that wasn't even a customer's stuff Tell me how you would rate that esp when not notifying someone even a few days notice to come get their belongings So I'd say performance overall is Piss poor Extremely shitty and actual no service to your customers esp acting like things are business as usual while there are no available storage units due to a virus that's still surging in our societyAmy M.

I returned the trailer THURSDAY afternoon during normal business hours. Sunday, I received an email receipt which charged me for additional days of usage, stating that the trailer had been returned on SATURDAY. I can understand if something like this might occur, had I returned the item after hours, but how this happened in my situation, is inexcusable. Then, to get the charge refunded, I spent way too long on hold waiting for a U-haul rep (the national line).Michael M.

My experience with this location although they were very thorough with each of their customers and explained in detail what they were getting and being charged for. I waited almost 2 hours in line to get help and just return a key. Every customer I saw before me and after me walked out very upset and frustrated due to the short staff and not being able to receive all the things that they purchased online. Their inventory was not well kept up. On top of that an employee was scheduled to be in at 8:30 and didn't walk in until about 10. The manager asked him what happened to being there at 8:30 and his reply was, â€œI couldn't pull myself out of bed. I stayed up way too late and should've gotten here on time, but just couldn't get out of my comfy blanketsâ€. That whole conversation is Word for Word for what was said and went down in front of a good five of us customers. That employee in my book should be fired or written up. He was very disrespectful. This was my first time using U-Haul and because of this I'm not for sure I will ever use you guys again in the future. I do not appreciate the lack of communication and consistency that is needed to run a successful business. I also do not appreciate employees being disrespectful in front of customers. It is not set a very good reputation or tone for your business. Sorry this is a lot and not very positive. Like I said the one thing I did like about this location was how thorough they were on explaining what all we were being charge for and making sure that we got the best deal.Shyler H.
1) Took 50 minutes from arriving at this facility to leaving with my truck, even though I'd filled out extensive forms beforehand and spoken with a U-Haul rep about my rental. 2) Even though I picked up and returned the same day (9:00am to 6:45pm), I was charged for two days. I spent 30 minutes on hold the morning after, reached one person with the main customer service center who said "I can't do anything", and took my number to give to this location for them to call me. They didn't call. Spent SEVENTY-FIVE minutes on hold today (two days after) over five different attempts to call. Reached a human at main customer service who again said "I can't do anything", and said they were going to transfer me to the billing department. They didn't---they sent me back out into the same hold queue, where I waited on hold another 20 minutes before giving up. When choosing from your phone tree, I chose the option for "calling about a past rental", so that should get me to someone near the billing department the first time. If there was SOME legitimate reason for charging me an extra day, you should NOTE IT in the order somehow, so when I reach two different humans, they could either tell me why, or else remove it on the spot. Or this location could just answer their phone.JOHN S.

This is the second and last time I come here. I reserved a vehicle showed up at 9:30am to pick it up, did leave until 11am from the lot. When I arrived there was only one person ahead of me, while someone (girl with glasses and long hair was helping someone) once she was done she called someone to come help, which that person took the one in front of me, and then she proceeded to go outside and start stocking the store. 45mins went by I'm still waiting and there's a line almost out the door, while she is stocking, there's another employee with long hair who was eating , and no one is going behind the desk to ease the line. She must have passed me a dozen times , without zero acknowledgment. My boss who had come with me , walked in wondering why it was taking so long, had to ask if she would help us with our reservation, which she begrudgingly did so. I've never written a bad review on anything but felt this really needed to be advised. Whether something gets done about it that's a different question, but I'll never come back.MARIANNE L.

The only thing I can think of to improve on is maybe make it clearer during check in. Wasn't sure what to do once I arrived. But wow, once they knew why I was there it was impressive. This was beyond horrible. Not a single employee gave a shit about their job. After checking in online to pick up the truck, I followed the instructions to go to the desk to pick up the key. After walking up I was instructed to wait in line. 45 min later I get back to the front of the desk to receive the key. I asked about the additional supplies that I purchased and was told they were in the truck and ready to go. Walk out to the truck, and there is nothing in there. I go back inside to talk with the employee who just handed me the key and told me the items were in the truck to only be told that I'll have to wait in line again to get my additional items. ANOTHER 45 min later I get back to the desk, and am helped by another employee. He tells me that he doesn't see the additional items on my reservation and says that he'll need to charge me for them again, which means that he wanted me to verify two additional contacts to rent a fucking moving blanket. Meanwhile, an employee walks in who was clearly late to then announce to the entire store â€œhow fucking sick his night wasâ€ to then be cheered on by the youngest employee. The employee who just walked in proceeds to clock in, and instead of helping the line of people in the store, goes outside to start his smoke break. This was the worst experience I have ever had at any company and would request that I get a refund and response about this matter. A 1 star poor rating is honestly even too high of a score for this store.Andrew M.

The wait line was too long. But, it was a busy Saturday in SLC. One sales rep (General/Manager) should have had a few more hands on the deck. But, I understand it is hard to get (and keep) good helpers with so many entitlement checks being passed out by Uncle Sam.Keith K.
The steering wheel was sticky and dirty. The tires were not properly inflated -- one had 14 lbs psi of pressure. When I returned the vehicle they tried to charge me for gas even though it was at the proper amount. Then they got mad and said they had to charge me 25 $because there were like 10 pebbles in the back. Also, they did not let me pay in cash, despite telling me that I would be able to when I rented the vehicle.SHEFFIELD K.

Where do I begin? We preordered our supplies online in advance and when we went to pick them up the staff said they couldn't find our order, even after providing them with a screen shot of our online order and contract#. The staff were not very helpful nor accommodating and kept saying if they can't see it in their system in the store then there's nothing they can do. So we had to buy the same supplies for a second time at the store and then try to work with UHAUL customer service to get a refund on the original online order. The staff seemed to just push us off and as it was getting close to closing time they wanted to lock up and go home. Not great customer service.Steven W.
The wait time from getting in line to being hooked up to a trailer was 1 hour and 20 minutes. The crowd was getting restless. The three employees on staff were doing their very best to keep up but it was not a great experience. We will keep using U-Haul but will change locations for sure.Nathan L.

Well I rented in SLC and Brandon told me If I returned before 24 hours I would only be charged for one day rental. Returned to location in Colorado 17 hours after pickup. When I asked about billing I was told by slc manager her employee made mistake. So after pay for three days and only using less than one day to move couches to my parents house there was a need to move junk to landfill. But it was refused to let me pick trailer back up for just singke day. Terrible experience told woukd get refund id only used one day then a need for second day came up and was expected to pay again even though I still had two day left.ELLIOT W.

Access to the facility was a little difficult to navigate. Cramped parking area and no real customer parking spots. Slow process to do paperwork especially after doing reservations online before hand. No direction when returning equipment until I had to move it so someone else could get out. Make sure when someone rents a truck, it has more than 20 miles of gas in the tank, and make sure the steering is safe (as mine was not). I almost killed myself driving through Logan Canyon because the steering had over 8 inches of play in the wheel before the truck would start turning.Ethan D.
