Staff seemed to not care about their jobs at all. Lot was completely packed and hard to navigate in a vehicle. The lines were long and took forever to get to the front. One staff was burping the entire time he checked a customer out. The truck was fine, considering it had scratches all over it, missing window handle crank knob, and part of the bumper was bent out of place. Over all, it was fine, just the staff didn't seem to care and were definitely in no hurry to move the customers through the lines.

When I showed up at the location at 7AM there was no one at the location. I waited over an hour for an employee to show. When I got to the register we chatted and he let me know 2 people were supposed to be there by 6:30 and neither showed. He gave me a $50 reservation guarantee credit which was nice and something I wasn’t aware of. The next day I dropped the truck off and the same employee was there. He told me he opened the store at 6:30 that day and another employee was a no show at 6:30 with a second no show at 9. He was doing everything he could to help customers and was just suffering from a lack of a team that cares to show up for work. That said Tanner Maxwell of the U-Haul of North Seattle location deserves a promotion for partially salvaging U-Haul reputation at this store.

You have engaged in Fraud. I reserved the truck from 10 - Noon. There was a 20 minute wait to get the truck so when I left I only had just over an hour and a half. I drove the truck a total of 12 miles. Beginning mileage 302 ending 314. I even stopped at the gas station and added gas so it had more dropping it off than when I picked it up. They wanted to charge me a $15 refuel charge. When I asked why, they said it was lower than when I checked out. $15 for 12 MILES and I even showed the gas receipt that was less than 10 minutes old. It is clear that you are attempting to defraud your customers by bumping up the gas charges. I am in the process of filing a complaint with Bob Ferguson as well as the BBB.

Had a 7am reservation. No one showed up from the business until almost 8am. When i returned, i tried to find someone to check the truck in with. Walked completely around the building, waited. Finally saw two workers smokin and jokin in the open air equipment room. Waited longer, pretty sure at least one saw me standing there, but ignored me. I spoke up and he came out to help me. It turned out to be the manager. When i commented on the one hour late opening, even though the neon open sign was flashing on, he made a casual comment that he didn't know what happened, that the opening person must've shown up late. He seemed pretty unconcerned, didn't apologize, didn't seem like a normal business manager. I won't be back at that location. Always had a great experience in the past. Kwon (sp?) helped me with pricing, cost comparison, options over the phone when i inquired recently and he provided outstanding customer service again last autumn when i first worked with him. He's very professional, conscientious, efficient, intelligent, helpful. That's why i returned. The other guy is why i may not. Sad. And he's the manager! There were 6 people waiting to get their uhaul rental yesterday morning. Really poor experience.

The lot was so jammed full of vehicles, cold only pull in in the back. Went to office no one there! Waited about ten minutes - went outside and started yelling HEY! ANYONE HERE! several times - no answer. There was a young man without uniform - asked him if he worked there - he said yea, but not on the counter - he would go find someone. Meanwhile three or four other customers entered the office - still no one there. Then a uniformed young man came in through the back door - I told him I was returning a trailer - he said "OK - meet me at the trailer". He had seen me drive in with the trailer, but did not attempt to make it to the office. He barely said three words. I started unhooking the trailer, which he let me do, and then grumbled as he slowly unwound the safety chains, and wrapped the power cord around the handle, then just moved the trailer - I had to ask if there was anything else, he said no. Lousy customer service!

When we arrived, no one was in the space to get us the key. When someone came in from the back a little while later, we went to go start the truck but the engine wouldn't turn over. We went back into the store, again, no one was in there to help us. We walked all around the building and couldn't find anyone. When we finally did find someone, they took a while to get us a new key because apparently we needed to reregister? I'm not sure what happened. When I came to return the truck, there was no order, two people turned their vehicles in that had gotten there after me, I had to move my truck a few times to let parked cars leave, and no one gave any direction. I understand if there is a shortage of staff, but can I at least get a greeting and point me where to go to wait?

This location had a truck for me when my first location did not when I went to pick it up after I confirmed my reservation the day before. It cost me an extra $100.00 in moving expenses. Plus nobody in management will call me back. I will leave a bad review everywhere I can if I don't hear from somebody soon.

You can improve by making sure you have the item at the location I reserved it at. Instead, I was relocated later to an inconvenient location. You should have made sure that if you said a trailer was available on your website and it's reserved that you make sure it's there even if you have to take one there.

The Uhaul online reservation system is useless. I did everything possible in advance, including online check-in (which was said to cut pickup time in half). It did not matter at all that I had done that and I waited in line for over an hour while one to two people slowly walked people through an entire process taking at least 20-30 minutes per customer. By the time I left there were 15 people waiting in line. Extremely inefficient system. The workers themselves were doing their best so my contention is with Uhaul, not this store particularly. This pickup took several hours and ate into prime packing and loading time and set the whole process back.

The chains were too long the way the person hooked them up and ended up dragging on the ground and I had to stop, it also beat the crap out of the chains. I took photos but don’t know how or where to send them to you. I also bought the insurance so it’s moot.

The inability to process returned vehicles fast enough to not block both entry driveways to the lot was quiet annoying. When I picked up my van, I had to pull it out of the middle of a line and had to wait for one of the employees to back up one truck so I could get behind it and get out. After about 10min in line with no possibility of progression (I was 2nd, w/ 2 people working the desk), I converted my reservation to 24/7 pickup, b/c of a major training issue with staff, so there's that issue as well, but thank you for that option now. It likely saved me a half hour or more.

I'm very upset that my reservation was changed from am to pm on your website and I had to go to a whole different location to get the truck because of the website messed up. This caused me to put more miles on the truck and have to pay more because of it! It made me miss my Movers by having to go out of my way to pick up a truck.

The store is on a small lot for the amount of equipment there. I was there on a Sunday morning and there was a huge line and parking issues. The crowded lot made it difficult for the hard-working staff to work efficiently. They were extremely friendly and hustled as much as they could. They also did a good job communicating with those of us in line.

Been to this U-Haul a few times and each time the service has been great. Friendly guys at the front desk and explains the process well. They probably get the same questions a 100 times but I never felt like they were annoyed. Appreciated that and how quickly they try to process everything.

This was the worst experience with a moving truck I have ever had. I reserved a 17 footer online. When I went to pick all they had was a 9 foot cargo van! I had to take a half day off work to rent a 15 footer early. But I had to have it back in less than 24 hours. Because they already had it booked. No discoun!!! Had to pay the same price as if I had the truck for a full 24 hours. When I tried to drop off the truck after hours I sat in the lot for 35 minutes because the app was malfunctioning and wouldn't record my pictures. Get it together UHAUL. Your name is too reputable for experiences like this. Totally unsatisfied.

I'm on a fixed income, and Disabled. And I had to rent a truck to empty my store room. The most Important thing to them was to get the truck and dolly back. Iv'e been renting from your company for years, this is the first time I was made to bring a truck back, if I wanted to rent a truck.

It was NOT great that I had to get up at 5am to drive up to Shoreline to drop this off before work, when there are 2 other Uhaul centers within 2 miles of my house. I was not allowed to use either because they were full. Why can't customers reserve drop off locations when they rent a trailer? And not have to wait until the last minute when they're TOLD where to dtop it off. It made me feel like I work for Uhaul, not the other way around!

The clerk told me to bring it back with 1/8 in the tank, but the contract said 1/4. It originally had 1/8 tank, not 1/4 like the contract says. Even though I spent 20 on gas, I was then charged another $20 because my contract was incorrect.

Well, other than the fact a uhaul truck was parked behind the personal vehicle I left at the location, blocking me and one other customer in, it was a fine experience. The Uhaul truck was parked by an employee and not a customer because it had the advertising sun visor in the window. They blocked me and one other customer from leaving. I had to find a friend to come get me from uhaul and then I slept on the floor of my old home with my pets because I had no way to transport the pets to the new home and could not complete my move that day. I couldn't get to work on time the following morning because then I had to pay for a lyft to uhaul the next morning to get my car. I'm pretty angry about whatever employee didn't pay attention and screwed me over for my evening and following morning. The call center couldn't do anything but message the general manager to try and get ahold of them so someone could move the truck. The uhaul call center said they sent messages to two people but couldn't do anything else. Neither person ever showed up to move the truck, nor did either contact me to apologize or let me know what happened. I won't be using that location again because of how their employees operated.

Your pricing is just not clear. If the reservation says it will cost $44.00 for instance it shouldn't end up costing $74.00 without knowing in advance why it's more. There's an insurance charge and a per mile charge, etc. I want to know what it will cost going in and have it be that cost at the end. I felt nickel and dime'd.

I have had an awful experience with Uhaul this time. I had to call three times last week to get things set up and because they changed my pick up location to this location without asking. I did not choose this location though it was fine. I asked them where I would be dropping off and they told me they didn't know and that I would have to call uhaul for a fourth time to find out. I did exactly that and was told to bring the truck to Redmond (which was close to where I wanted). This was fine until I got a call the day after from a manager telling me that I had to go back to Redmond to move the truck for her or I would be charged fees. She told me that she wishes that they had enough personnel to move the truck themselves but they don't so I have to do it. I told her to check the recording of my phone call from yesterday that instructed me to leave the truck there and that I refused to pay fees or go all the way back to Redmond. She never called me back but I got this survey and no charges to I assume she got it figured out and found that I wasn't lying. AWFUL SERVICE! I will be avoiding the use of Uhaul in the future.

Starting mileage and fuel level were incorrect and the truck was dirty at pickup. Which just resulted in getting charged for a bullshit cleaning fee. Not only will I avoid this UHaul location in the future, I'm done with UHaul entirely. Too many fees.

I got given the run around throughout the day and then at the end of the day ended up back at this location picking up a trailer. The first gut I talked to smelled like cigarettes and had no customer service and did not know what he was doing. He acted like I was a bother and wanted to brush me off. Horrible service

Front Desk was very sloppy did not explain CONTACT. They did advise that the round trip was $78. One way 128.00. BUT FAILED TO TELL US THAT THE COST WOULD ALSO DOUBLE THE 128. GOT A BILL 280. CALLED your worthless Corp office people who stated they could reduce the bill it was up to the shoreline OWNER to reduce the charges now plan to go to State Attorney General to seek help for UHAUL CORRUPT ABUSIVE BUSINESS CONTRACT.

Went in a week before to reserve a truck. Picked out a 15-footer (first customer service rep). Came back next week, no record of it. Was told I needed a $100 cash deposit. (second customer service rep). Went out & got it. Stood in line until I could work with manager. Found out that I could put deposit on card, for about $50. Manager is well-skilled and basically runs the store by himself, readily available to both his staff & customers. He keeps in close communication with employees & this helps immensely.

The staff at both facilities I dealt with in Phoenix and Shoreline were amazing!!! Both managers were fantastic and a special shout out to Julian Whalen in Shoreline, he was friendly and very helpful.
