The customer service is horrible. When you walk in, you don't get greeted, all while the employees are having loud conversations with each other which awkwardly goes on for several minutes before you get helped. When you do get helped, they seem annoyed to actually â€œhelpâ€ (if you can call it that) you. The employee seemed so annoyed the entire time I was checking out and got physically irritated when their credit card machine was having difficulty reading my card. I would have given this place 1 star but the gentleman who checked me back in was great. Besides him, the entire experience was horrible and I will be utilizing a different moving truck service in the future. I will not recommend this place to friends.Dominic R.

Not sure what can be done at this time to improve. I reserved on line, came in and my truck was ready to drive off the lot in about 10 mins. When I returned the truck, it took less than 10 minutes to complete the return transaction. Everyone knew there job and performed with the utmost professionalism. Uhaul has embraced technology to expedite the renting process. Excellent service!Nigel A.

Best customer service I've had in some time ! The truck was clean and it felt solid most uhauls I've rented have been beat up and feel loose on the road this one was nice overal great experience keep up the good work and great customer service! It doesn't go unnoticedMario R.

Customer service was very good. However, the Covid protocol so-so. The van "appeared" clean but it reeked of cigarette smoke- it was nauseating. Therefore, the overall sanitation was questionable disinfection of important touch points (wheel, door handles), for example. I would recommend this location for the customer service, ease of parking and good availability of business hours. But I would suggest making sure the vehicle is truly clean before heading out in it.Jennifer G.

Pickup was easy and great - staff was friendly and professional. The problem started when I attempted to return after hours (5:30pm) after a long day of moving. Doors were locked as location was closed. I have done after hours drop off with online confirmation many times before and the front parking lot was pretty empty so I started the process on my phone. A few minutes in, an employee (Fred something, tall slender man) came out of the office and yelled at me. He said â€œyou know you'll be liable for that if you leave it here!â€ I replied that I was doing the 24/7 after hours check in. He replied â€œwe don't do that here, and they told you that when you rentedâ€. I told him that in fact they had not told me that. He said â€œyes they didâ€. So then I kindly asked him that since he was still there could he open the gate and I would drop it in the back lot. He replied â€œnope, I'm off the clockâ€. I then re-hooked up the trailer and left. I can confirm that I was never once told that after hours drop off was not allowed, and in fact the paper work says nothing about it - instead it gives basic directions on how to complete the check-in online. The employee was very rude and unprofessional - if the policy he was telling me is in fact true (which I still don't know the answer to) there were certainly many more appropriate and considerate ways of telling me. I won't be coming back to this location.Alexander R.

I used the U-Haul app with hopes that it would make the process easier and faster, but it was so glitchy that I ended up having to wait in line and go through the standard process. The app was slow, and some prompts were unclear. Additionally I was unable to upload new pictures of possible existing damage to the vehicle, nor was I able to upload a picture of the odemeter. The odometer picture was a necessary part of the app process, and I was not able to comeplete that. I ended up driving off since no one was able to assist me, so I ddin't know if I would be charged additional fees because I didn't finish the app process.Scott E.

Not review of Rock Blvd - Nick was great help super guy - but of uhaul & uhaul So Virginia St. I set a move ordered equipment month in advance chkd in and confirmed early . I was driving 16hrs to get to Reno to get uhaul truck/auto trailer to move stored furnishings/stored car. 13hrs into trip received a txt canceling uhaul equipment from So Virginia St uhaul. Tried to call the location holding for 45mins no answer rolled to knowledgeless (and of little help) customer service call center, to be transferred to a que to talk to schedulers (call was ultimately dropped while driving in the Sierra Nevadas). After all night & next day calls , waiting on endless holds I had 1 scheduler who found a smaller truck due back end of day the next day and I jumped on reserving it (why this reservation is different from my other reservation I m unclear). Good news the truck came back on time (they don't always) Rock had a early return trailer , took both and got loaded late in the evening a day late & 200 $extra storage fees. Questions- why cancel customers forcing them to jam call centers forcing long holds frustrating customers & employees ? Why not plan days out NOT taking reservations if no clear equipment supply exists? Why not have staff funding solutions & calling customers with a solution (as opposed to finding solutions adhoc)? Why allow locations hoard equipment (yes exists drove to locations holding trucks for overdue customers refusing to rent them to others)? Why allow the situation manage the system as opposed to actively manage the situation ? It all sucked.gary F.

Mobile checkout and check-in does not work according to the staff at the desk. The accessories ordered were not in the truck. Just not a pleasant experience. The equipment needed was over 20 miles from my location costing 50 $in mileage fees not related to the move. The truck requested from Walnut Creek CA and had to go to Oakland CA for the pickup. U-haul does have have any real competitors. The service makes it apparent.Ronald T.

First, honor the agreement you make wirh your customer. I made the reservation on your 800 uhaul phone site. On arrival at the 5330 location they unilaterally changed my reservarion from two days to one. They were not friendly or understanding at all. Very poor experience overall. Your online system is crap. You let me make a reservation for a location that is not renting. Changed to another location and said 9:15 pick up that was provided on your system to only get there and vehicle not being returned until 9:30. The third and final location. I originally rented the truck from a place closer to my address. This was done for a few reasons. It was more convenient, the route was easier To drive, and it was less miles since I'm paying for each mile. However, when I went to pick it up, I found out that U-Hual had switched my reservation to a different location. That was not helpful considering I had other people waiting on me. All that said, the location on International was a very quick process, the truck was ready to go, and the staff was helpful. I also felt safe about leaving my car there all day while I had the truck.Christina F.
