Condescending jerks working at your front desk will make sure I purchase a trailer vs rent one from uhaul again.

Luckily, the nice lady on the phone took care of me. but she mentioned alot of people call about this. Not her fault, i think corp should look into it.

At the end of my reservation on the phone I asked what's the final bill was going to be for one day and they said $54 at the end of the phone call. When I got to the location I reserved the trailer from I was charged $108.00. I think I deserve a refund of $54

Patricia W.The vehicle overall appeared clean. But it was not in a safe condition to drive. During the rental we experienced a tire blew out due to a missing ball bearing. Rosdside took 2 hours to show up and did not come prepared to fix more than just the tire. The whole wheel was about to fall off and we were expected to continue to drive it. Uhaul needs to do a better job at mechanically inspecting their vehicles for safety.

CHARLES B.It was disorganized and understaff. Waiting was too long for 2/3 of the rental process. Expect a 1 hour plus wait time to get a truck and that's only if you are not the first person in line. I was the 3rd or 4th person in line with advanced booking as bd so did the guy in front of me. On the weekend and especially when the end or beginning of the month lands on that weekend, it will be especially busy. They Only had one person was at the customer service counter. And he kept getting interrupted by other staff members with questions. Uhaul had advance booking data to allow appropriate staffing, but did not do so. When I finally got my rental keys, they couldn't get it out because they couldn't find the key to the truck parked behind the one assigned to me. And the guy took a long time looking. I was subsequently given another truck and I had to wait for them to do the paperwork all over again. And all this time I had movers waiting and the clock is running. The Only good experience was rental return process went smoothly and the customer service guy was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. Which is probably why he kept getting interrupted by other staff members with questions. Horrible experience.

Edward R.I have used this Haul a couple of times and my brother who is a general contractor uses them frequently. We both agree excellent service, well working vehicles and expeditious staff. I like the Spruce Street location much better than the Van Buren Uhaul which is small and challenging to navigate large vehicles in. Also, the Spruce street staff are more courteous.

John P.I was asked if I wanted to add any protection to my rental and I clearly stated NO and my husband reiterated it as I have USAA and it was not needed...however I was charge the $14 for added protection and of course, no one could answer the phone in less than an hour...I never spoke to anyone and will have to drive to the location to demand my money back. I'm old and on Social Security so $14 is a lot of money.
Sandra P.When I came in there was no issues or problems. The lady at the time during her shift was wonderful. However, upon returning back the UHAUL less than 6 hours although I reserved for 24 hrs. I was trying to understand why I wouldn't be able to adjust time to 6hrs instead of of 24hrs. The lady who was then on her shift or possibly returning back from work was extremely rude and unwilling to answer my question. She just passed me off to the guy who was actually more helping and polite. However, I'll never book from this location again because it didn't have to even go as far as being disrespected. Also, your company should take into consideration to adjust your policy regarding if the time of 24hrs is not needed and only used as a precautionary measure to ensure there is no issues with making sure it is back in time, that there is a way to adjust the rate because that's flat out idiotic not too. A waste of money and a waste of time to even work with this location when I should have waited until there was availability at the Mo Val location.
Lauresha H.Hi, My name is Luis and unfortunately I had a bad experience with this UHaul. Long story short I got a hitch receiver installed here, so the receiver broke while I was hauling my trailer and dented my truck frame from where it was attached. Contacted Uhaul and all they told me was to fix my frame and they will re-install the hitch receiver. After arguing with them they said they can open a claim thru there insurance and so they did. Have not received a single phone call from them and its been 6 weeks my truck has been parked. I called the number they gave me and left voice mail and have not received a single call.

Only thing about U-Haul as a company, not the Spruce Riverside location, was the website! I went through the process and it didn't accept the pictures that I took. Fix the bugs.

Sandra C.To be honest, this was a frustrating experience! We had reserved our truck for 8 AM pickup using the 24/7 mobile pickup option. We showed up on time and followed the link provided to us in the email, but there was no pickup option. It turns out the location didn't receive our reservation details from the online system, so we had to wait 50 minutes for them to open - delaying our move while friends/family waited around at our house. The associate who opened up the store was very helpful and gracious, so props to him! But the overall experience was not at all what you hope for on moving day.

I was really impressed with her customer service, because she was both efficient and warm to the customers. The second time I visited this location, I booked a truck in the wrong location, but she swiftly helped me. The location was busy with returning vehicles, but she made sure the other customers and I received our rentals on time.

He painstakingly worked on releasing my car from the car towing device longer than he should've had to, as the chain didn't have much slack. He is clearly dedicated to his position there at U-Haul = pleasant, courteous & professional. As he was walking in front of me to unlock the U-Haul lock off my storage unit…I noticed Ed reaching down and pulling out a weed. I was impressed. Thank you for everything.
