Took an hour to check in. Customer service was not helpful. I asked a question and got the same dumb answer. Told where to pick up truck and when I asked where that was, I got another dumb answer that I should have known where that was. When I found my spot, no truck. Went back to same customer service agent and he thought I was dumb because he said he just put it there. He grabbed the keys from me thinking I cannot read and low and behold it was not even close to where he said it was. No apologies given by him. Mileage all wrong because the truck had never been checked in from the previous renter causing another customer service agent to yell at me like it was somehow my fault.

The line was crazy long which is fine but the Employees were fighting with each other in front of customers it was seriously awkward! One older guy was definitely not the nicest person he was extremely angry for some reason and he definitely did not hide that at all! He was upset when I asked a simple question like where do I go to get the truck I have never been here before he just yelled it’s in z it’s all alphabetical order. Okay, can you point me in the direction please! Just rude and was not the best service at all!

The facility smelled extremely strongly of cigarette smoke - made going inside very unpleasant. Additionally, the return process and parking the truck was very confusing, as I was using the app to do the self return, and as I was completing it, a worker came up and told me I needed to park the truck in a different specific location to return it so they could clean it. More clarity or consistency regarding where to park is needed for returns.

I have used U-haul often. Vehicle return took awhile. Your rep, Drew< put me thru the ringer....checking all functions of the truck before I could get my receipt. I had the truck for about 4 hours, 35 miles. Maybe your new policy I guess, but this process was my first time with you folks....thanks

Man, the people at this location are amazing! They worked so hard to make sure I got on the road as fast as possible. What was not amazing? The text telling me I had to pick up my trailer from a different location than previously requested! This was not the fault of the location that I dealt with, because that's where I requested I pickup. I received a text that said I should pickup from a location 20 miles away from where I made the reservation online.....Do i read the text in detail? NO! because it is just a confirmation text that I was expecting with no suggestion that it might be different from what I typed in online. Honestly I got lucky that when I went to pickup my car dolly that they had an extra one there and didn't have to drive 20 more miles to pick up a simple rental. Do better Uhaul!! Your employees do...

Appointment at 10 am. Took till 4:30pm for the hitch to be installed. Call on phone to see if ready and no one answers..Had to drive 11 miles to find out if it was installed some 4 hrs later. It wasn't. Typical install time is 1 hr. at most..... Very disappointed customer..

Please hire sale persons that are very professional and respectful to all customers. That everything gets the same fair treatment, to be acknowledged not over charged and to receive a truck with gas already in it and that the seats are movable for short drivers and that all break pads don't stick or hard to push down to stop.. Truck and auto transport were good condition. Did have an issue with one tire strap came off in final 100miles. Had tighten twice before at each stop. Something to tie the car rear down seems necessary. The following driver noticed heavy bounces on various roads.

I recently required the use of a trailer for four days in order to transport my WWII Living History Display to the Dayton Air Show. I contacted the Sharonville U-Haul to obtain a 5x8 foot trailer. As there were none available, I was offered the next larger trailer, a 5x10 foot trailer. Upon checking the available trailers at the Sharonville location it was found that the only available trailer was a 6x12 foot trailer. The staff worked with me and approved the 6x12 foot trailer which was much larger than I needed for the cost of the 5x10 foot trailer originally offered to me. Jim, the manager has a first rate, professional crew willing to work with customers to help meet their moving needs. I will definitely use the Sharonville U-Haul location again.

The inside of trailer had old broken fishing rods I would assume from previous renter. Upon arrival at my St Louis destination I found that the trailer had leaked and water was inside on my belongings. Personnel were not helpful with additional questions. When asked a question, they simply said they did not know the answer and gave no effort to find one.

I arrived for my 10am appointment only to be told work could not start til 11a. I could reschedule or come back at 11. I returned at 11am then waited an watched for my car to be moved into the bay at 11:24a. A phone call prior to my appointment indicating the delay should have been made. The other observation was that when I arrived at 10a I noticed a customer in the bay talking with the technician. When I arrived again at 11am the same customer was in the bay talking with the technician. The client was having work done on his 428i. Two things to note here. First, while Robert was working on the vehicle, the client's idle comments have to have been distracting him. This surely slowed him down. Second and most importantly, a customer was in the bay while work was being done. This is just not permitted. For their safety and for yours. I hope this information is helpful.

The gentlemen that helped me looked like he'd rather be retired and doing anything but working at U-Haul. In fact, I initially thought he was a disgruntled customer until I saw the U-Haul shirt. Other than that this facility was fine.

The general manager (man with white beard) was rude to me and to my wife. The only nice thing they did was call me after finding my key that had fallen on the floor mat; I returned to pick it up. I wouldn't recommend this location. The manager needs a good dose of customer service training. The other two staff members were OK.

Giving Below Average as the process of co-ordination to deliver the trucks at the destination was not good. I had to make 10 plus calls to customer service (with 15 mins waiting) and moving helpers to setup the pickup and deliver at Cincinnati home. I was told when the boxes arrive at destination I will receive a call to setup the delivery, the boxes reached Sharonville location 3 days before the actual schedule, but no one called me. I had to call customer service to setup the pickup, however when the moving helpers went to pickup the boxes, they denied to give the boxes as they don't have trailers available. Imagine how frustrating it will be for me to co-ordinate all this, during such a big move. I didn't lift the finger, but my brain is almost blown with those phone calls.

I was very disappointed with this experience. The truck was ok, the gas cap was off the tank, and wire attaching it frayed to just one strand. I had asked for 10 packs of 12 blankets, the folks at the Sharonville facility scoffed at the order, they had four packs of 6blankets in the ENTIRE facility. I had planned to move to Colorado with a truck full of wood/very nice furniture; I would have had to cancel my trip given they did not have blankets. The folks at the counter though professional were burned out, and generally frustrated; I got grief for buying three rolls of strapping tape.? During the blanket discussion, the person working with me change order to just four packs of 6 blankets, and did not really tell me I was not getting 10 packs. Another Uhaul person said, if I had expensive furniture, I should just buy pads for moving them.

Worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul... I reserved a 17' truck for 4:30pm (24hr rental). Received a call asking me to change my location and time to 6:30pm. I arrived at 6:30 to pick up the truck and it hadn't been returned and wasn't due to be returned until 7:15pm at the earliest (Which it was never returned).I called customer service to be told there was nothing they can do for me. I stopped at a Uhaul location to just see if they could do anything. They were able to give me a 10' truck that had to be returned at 10am. No ramp, very small, and made us have to move a 4 bedroom house 23miles throughout the night. Taking multiple trips (130 miles worth) at $.99/mile. Not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience or try to accommodate the situation in anyway. I will not be using Uhaul anymore. I'd rather spend my money with a company that's cares about a customer's experience.

As I spoke about it that's it excuse me I was in a hurry the gentleman dad proceeded to take his time as he helped me I asked him was he having a problem he said yes I asked him to ask for help he very rudely reminding me that I didn't have a reservation and that I just walked in as it made a difference of him taking his time helping me after I had spoken to him and allowed him to know that I was in a hurry just very rude

I was not told about the fact you can't back this piece of junk up and the one side strap was to short to fit over my tire. When I brought it back I tried to tell the very smart ass guy about my problems he gave me a shit eating grin and pointed at some little one inch sticker in a very rude way. I have never been treated in such a rude and negitive way. I'm dying of cancer and this is how you treat people !!!!!!! The early shift even knew I had cancer. Piss poor company !!!!! You owe me a apology and my money back !!!

HORRIBLE experience!! The truck that was provided to me was ridiculous. It shook and rattled and the engine made terrifying noises the entire time I was driving, It had ZERO pick up which was horrifying on the highway. The transmission was shot and hard shifted and acted like it didn't want to shift at all. I deserve a freaking discount! It was covered in dead bugs on the outside. The set up of the parking lot is retarded in that when I went to drop off the truck my car was almost completely blocked in by all of the trucks that were left in line and dropped off. There is nowhere else to park. Luckily, I managed to squeeze through and had to exit in a no exit section of the property. What if I couldn't get out?? I would have been trapped there with no way home! Never again...Budget or Enterprise next time for sure!

Not sure how Uhaul calculated the mileage that I would drive. I drove the truck from the rental location, to my home, then to the storage facility (which was on the way to the drop off location) and then to the drop off location. I could not have driven any less miles since I made no additional stops or detores. Somehow I exceeded my miles??? More transparency about how this number is calculated is needed.

I did not understand the after hours drop off pertaining to using a locator from my phone to prove the truck was dropped off at the location intended. I drove a 26' truck from Cincinnati to Kansas City in June with no A/C. When contacted by a rep at the Sharonville OH pick up center I was told they could give me a $50 reservation credit only as "it was not a safety concern". Also was told I could have "rolled down the window". After saying this was not acceptable I was told "if we are going to fight about it I don't have to give you any credit" . This was unacceptable and unprofessional.

Uhaul could not install my hitch as they had the wrong size bolts. They told me I needed to go back to the dealer when that was not the case. I had to pay for the hitch and have someone else install it which was much more expensive. Their app is terrible. It takes a long time to get someone on the phone and it's never at the store always the central number for which you get the run around.

I came into location to rent a trailer. The computer system was down. I stood for an hour and 45 minutes waiting to try and rent the trailer. According to the manager they are continually having problems like this with the system. I find it hard for a company of your Magnitude to be running with such a poor system. Definitely not a very positive experience that I have encountered with Uhaul.

They needed more people working the counter, the wait was long, which should have been anticipated by the company (Memorial day weekend, busy moving time) and only one person was doing all the work of checking people in, getting equipment etc. That process takes a long time per customer. Also, the truck was clean but the gas tank leaked a ton of fuel out when we were parked on a slope (contacted customer service). The headlights were also awful, they made no difference in the dark--scary!!

I rented a one way 20 foot truck. Got to the location and they did not have a 20’ one way only a 26”. The counter help guy had no resolution other than me doing a round-trip with a 20 foot truck. I had to settle for a 26 and it was a challenge getting in the right spot I need to get to. Here is what pissed me off. I had the reservation for 9AM. I never got an email From U-Haul telling me where to pick up. So I called at 9AM and was on hold for a wile then transferred to two different people trying to find the location to pick up the truck. Once I get the address I go to the location to receive the truck. After all was complete it’s 10 AM I go to leave and I say have it back by 10AM as that was when I was leaving. The counter guy says “ No you was late on your reservation have it back back by 9AM” So I paid for 24hrs and got 23. I loaded it as fast as I could and returned it as fast as I could. May have been better if I paid on line vs paying at the pick up location. I just really felt I was not considered a guarantee to pick up there for nothing was ready.

Location is extremely difficult to park and navigate. I had to wait for trucks to be moved when I arrived because all customer parking was blocked. When I dropped off my rental I had the same experience. The exit was blocked by several vehicles and I had to exit through the entrance which was both difficult and dangerous. Service when I picked up was extremely slow. I had a 7 am reservation. I arrived @ 7:15 and it took almost 30 minutes before I was helped.

They overcharged on mileage. We have proof that the return mileage was only 99408.5 not 99410 as charged on the final receipt. It’s not enough to file a complaint with the store for a refund but definitely will not recommend that store or use them again. I preferred to give my business to honest people

On this visit the retrun was not checked in on time. Not sure why, but the credit has been issued, and I spoke with the General Manager Jim, and we are all set. Renting again next week. On a corporate U-haul experience... Horrible! I recieved the late check in notice, I sent the info back, and about 2 hours later, I was billed. Then I had to call and spend 25 mins to start the investigation and credit. My point is this; if you send me a late notice, and I respond, you should verify my responses with the renting facility before you bill me. From what I can tell, no call went to the Sharonville facilty to see if my return had not been processed corectly, you just billed it, (made me feel like a criminal), and the fault was at the site, not me. I am a good renter, I use the site, check in on line early, and complete the on line check in to make it smooth and good use of everyone's time. This event used all of our time very poorly. I had to call, burn up my precious time, use up the customer service time, and then, Jim's time to call me as well, huge waste. If you really want to provide a great customer experience, don't waste time and resources. Get it right the first time. I can think of ways it would have been better for me, the customer. Verify with the facility prior to billing an extra day, they should be able to verify if the equipment is there or even better, how about checking to see if the equipment was rented to another customer on the said late day... All this could/should be done prior to just billing me, especially since I took the time to respond to the late notice, with the correct retrun date. Horrible! Please listen and fix this poor use of all our time. Not to mention the time to write this review.

1) The U-Haul app is completely worthless when trying to rent a cargo van. The last time I rented a van, i waited in line for about 45 minutes, and the attendant said I should've used the app because it's quicker. So I used that app this time. It doesn't work at all. I ended up going in to the attendants and they scoffed at me saying that the app is really worthless. 2) When returning the van, I tried to check the van in with the app. again, it was a waste of time. I ended up talking to the attendants to check the van in. They made it seem like I was annoying them. U-Haul better figure out how to train their customer facing employees, and figure out the app. Otherwise the annoyances will cause people to go elsewhere.

The folks were helpful—when they were present. I was def displeased by the waiting for service. No one seems cross-trained. AND: the reserve to acquire UBox disappeared and I couldn’t be helped. 😠
