The truck I got had a horrible brake vibration and the brakes squealed the whole time. When I let the manager at the location know he then proceeded to tell me that it was Just in the shop and they had worked on the brakes and that I just described every uhaul truck he has ever seen. I was extremely disappointed with this rental and did not end up using it for as long as I needed to do to the fact that I felt it was unsafe to keep driving it.Bryan F.

My so. Found something sticky on the side of the seat and I had the message display tell me to tighten the gas cap a few blocks after I left the pick up location. The guy who checked the truck back in was very unprofessional and left his sunglasses on even insideBryan F.

I rented the truck with 1/4 tank of gas, drove 21 miles put 3 gallons of gas into the truck 2 blocks before returning it. I turned in the keys and went about my day. Not to long after I get an email with a receipt, while reading the receipt I noticed a fuel surcharge of $30 and charged and additional $15,62 for 3 gallons of gas. I tried to call location multiple times and just got hung up on as soon as they answered. So I drive back to the store. The gas hand was in the same place as it was when I rented the truck to begin with. They i formed me I had to call the manager and gave me his card. I called him and have yet to get a response. This is the 2nd instance this has happened to me at 2 separate stores. I will not recommend using U-Haul to anyone ever again. I'm out $45of my money which was stole from me in my opinion. It was taken from me without my authorization and I didn't get a service in which I was charged for.Phillip A.

I was instructed to return the truck to a different location, found on my contract. It was the Shell station on South Lancaster Drive in Salem. The staff refused to accept the return and refused to contact the 12th Street facility. They had an abysmal attitude. The staff at 12th St was helpful. The Shell staff were actively unhelpful over a mistake made somewhere in the U-Haul system.Todd M.

I was 5 minutes away when I locked the U-Haul keys in the truck. I stopped by to ask to borrow a set of keys. They said they would not give me an extra key and that I would have to call roadside assistance. This took an extra hour of my time.grady M.

We had to search for the employees when we arrived to pick up the trailer. It took the employee 15-20 min. To figure out how to get the lights working on the the trailer. When we brought it back this afternoon (5 hrs later) once again we had to look for the employees who we found behind the building getting high. Over all very unprofessional!Gretchen L.
Employees greeted us when we walked in to pick up the truck. The check in/pick up was quick and easy & the employee was friendly & knew how to do his job. When I pulled up to drop off the truck the employee came right out, greeted me, asked if I had any questions & advised the process of receiving an email receipt/invoice. Very quick and easyJessica F.
I had requested to have both furniture dolly and covers to be inside my truck by the time I did the early morning pick up. Neither items were inside the truck. Also, when I checked the truck back in, utility dolly was added to my bill. It took almost 30 minutes on the phone to ask the item to be deleted. Unbelievably slow phone service!Iria N.
This location was really helpful! The checkout was easy and efficient. When another, third-party, location had problems with check-in after the move, the people at this location were great about looking up the information, giving me advice, and then letting me know that the problems had all been taken care of.Peter J.

Limited parking space at this location is a problem, having to park on the street. The on street parking is limited unless you want to cross a busy one-way street with no crosswalks in sight.rod F.

I think it's absurd that you cannot call the uhaul office. Being put on hold at a call center just to find out if there is a truck available even though the website allows you to reserve one is infuriating. The Uhaul branch was great once I went in. The Uhaul website and call center are frustrating.ethan B.
Your application and web-based check-in and out are an absolute disaster. It is a complete waste of time, crashes constantly, does not work logically, and is frustrating. I think it was better before and has gotten worse. It costs the company millions of dollars a year in duplicated efforts and extra work. For me.personally, I do what I should in terms of using the technology and end.of wasting my time which I bill my time for and waste valuable.time. As a regular customer, it is so frustrating, and I feel for you local operators that have to deal with this every day and probably get a ton of complaints. Nothing is worse than spending 20 to 30 minutes using the app or web page and the finding all of the work done or being asked to log in for the tenth time, or there is no network connection. Please pay me to consjultmor.pay me back for my time.Mark G.
I picked up the auto carrier at this location, but they had me go to the other U=haul location to have my vehicle loaded. It wasn't a big deal, but it seemed fairly unnecessary.BRADLEY U.

Quick-mount drivers side rotating window handle knob pops off easy (even though the three-prong mount design appeared to be in satisfactory manufacturing condition...appeared like new). Everything else great. Only suggestion is after-hours key box (slot) wasn't easily noticed or marked boldly as "Key Drop-off Box" like pictured in app instructions...I was looking for an orange box as pictured, but it was, instead, a slot near a sign with lots of writing. Would be easier for the average Joe and first time after-hours drop off if more easily visible/distinguishable. Other than that, very very happy customer. Would be nice if we could more accurately state gas tank level status, because gas station attendant overfilled and put three gallons in instead of one...and I only traveled 11miles, so one would have sufficed. Need read halfway between 5/8 and 3/4, but I opted to just state it was at the lower 5/8 mark as it was when I picked up the truck.STEFANOS S.

The arm that holds the passenger side mirrors wouldn't stay put. I could see my blind spot in the small lower mirror, but the upper large mirror was useless on that side. Definitely made me nervous driving.Andrew B.

The pickup experience was excellent, EXCEPT I had chosen a location in Albany when I ordered the trailer online. My email confirmation showed the Albany location. Then when I arrived, they told me the system had automatically changed it to a place in Salem, which was 30 minutes away (out of the way from). I didn't receive an email or call telling me this. That was frustrating and caused more than an hour delay, as we had waited for the original place to be open to pick up the trailer, only to find out it wasn't where the trailer was anyway. This is the 3rd time that something similar has happened while renting with Uhaul.David M.

The moving van was dirty there was bird shit on the windshield everywhere, The employee forgot to put the moving blankets in the back I had to go back and pick them up. Other than that everything else went great besides having to go 40 miles to pick up a trailer after reserving this a month prior.Jeff C.

His colleague was eating at the desk, didn't respond when he asked her to help and somehow disappeared when she could have helped get the order complete. The young man who helped Me behind the counter was very polite and answered all my questions. The truck we rented my son drove it, he was a little nervous driving a big truck, but he said it really wasn't bad . The truck was very well cleaned and maintained. The staff that helped me on this day were very unprofessional . I had an appointment to install a hitch on my Honda Element for 11AM . We were not even informed of our appointment time but had to contact the U Hall to even get that info , they said they were going to contact us. We arrived on time for our appointment (11AM) and were told it would be about a hour and a half. The job wasn't finished until 4PM while we waited the whole time .The staff never offered any explanation or any kind of apology on why it so much longer than they promised . Never even said thankyou for my bossiness. The installation was subpar in that they charged me for the bracket that holds the flat four trailer light plug but never installed it . They just zip tied it on to the hitch making very awkward to connect the trailer harness to the car . It was a terrible experience I will never do business with U Hall again .Patrick B.
