Free punch and pie! But seriously, if we show up early for a pickup, could you let us know you're going to charge an extra day? We picked up at 4 instead of 5, and got an extra day charge. We could have easily waited until 5, we were early because we were ahead of schedule, and sometimes there is a long wait at pickup, so we got there ahead of time so as not to run past closing hours.

I noticed that only one employee was working over there both times I went there; and if there are more than one customer, it tends to take a while longer to be attended. It is such a big location, it should have more than one staff working.

Hi, I have been renting your trailers, every 6 to 8 months for approximately 10 years or more. You're staff is great at every branch. BUT, 100% of the time I visit to pick up a pre-reserved trailer...your staff is ALWAYS experiencing the same problem “Our computer system is very slow currently.” Every time I visit...for years...your staff at any branch I visit is the same. And I am visiting during the “off hours”: “the computer system is slow”. I am a database software technician...your software/database system needs an upgrade. If you fix that...I will gladly refer you to anyone and everyone. When I enter a U-Haul branch to pick up my pre-reserved trailer...i walk out if there are more than 3 other people in line because I know it will be at least an hour wait because your “computer system is slow”. So I waste my time on multiple trips to a u-haul branch. Please upgrade your database and/or software. If its not that...upgrade the broadband to your branches. Thanks! Patrick Tremo 650 656 5786

Truck Key fob is very hard to use. No grip on the key fob makes it impossible to crank turn on the engine.

It was not the location that was the problem. It was that I could not call them directly. It was that the uhaul customer service was slow and that I was forced to do the job of the employee by scanning my own license, doing the damage report myself and then FORCED to use a TERRIBLE website to return the truck that didn't work. Also the check engine light was on when I got the truck. The location got 3/5. Uhaul got 0/5. Your customer service has declined greatly in the last couple years. But you wont ask how uhaul did overall because you know how bad it is. Instead you try to pin it on the poor people running the franchise that don't have control over your bad service. Will be looking for alternatives next time

The no contact sign in process was slow to me. A little warning that it takes awhile would have been appreciated. Otherwise, not a bad experience. Easy to get in and out of location and when I did need in person help the gentleman working was very helpful and friendly.

We received very professional and helpful service. The Representative was working alone. I was impressed with his consideration of each customer by letting us know he will be with us as soon as he finished with current customer or finished documenting a returned vehicle/equipment. This kept each of us being patient with the reasonable short wait. He was considerate of our needs so in return it was easy to be considerate of him. Hope you pass this compliment on to him.

Experience was ok. The employees, while not rude, were not overly enthusiastic or friendly. NONE of them were wearing masks the day I rented my van, and were not socially distancing. The next day, one employee that was not there the day before was the only person I saw wearing a mask. That is my biggest complaint. Plus, I have no way of knowing whether or not the vehicle I rented was disinfected before I got into it.

I was informed at pick-up that if my return was delayed, to make sure I called the drop-off location to inform them and that I would be charged an additional $28.00 ($20.00 convenience fee + $8.00 safe tow). This did happen which I understand; however, the agent informed me I was also being charged an additional $50.00 service charge for inconveniencing another family who was expecting the trailer. This fee was not outlined in my service contract and was not communicated at pick-up. The service agent didn't care and was unwilling to discuss this.

This u-haul location lacked customer parking spaces. Prebooking equipment did not matter. I prebooked a furniture dolly and utility dolly only to find that there was none available at the location. In my time crunch, I was forced to purchase a furniture dolly. The result - cuts and bruises while moving our furniture in an unsafe manner.

Check to make sure things like low tire pressure indicator is not on when a new customer picks up, which was the case with my truck. Also, the latch on the back door was not securely on, and was not possible to latch all the way. This is a safety hazard that could have had catastrophic consequences. Please make these repairs before issuing trucks for the public to use.

The employees at the branch are doing their best, are courteous, professional and helpful, but seems the systems are so outdated that they're the source of the problem. I waited in line 50 (!) minutes - and it's not that it was a particularly busy day. There were only two in front of me. I did the online check-in in the app, but that has nothing to do with reducing the wait time, only saving a bit of work to the employee. I'm a regular renter, but need to find different alternatives as this is a recurring problem. When renting a car with a company that I'm a regular renter, it takes me exactly a minute. With U-Haul it's always a process that's made slow by the aging software. During my wait, at least three people came, stood in line, and left frustrated, meaning it's not only me. U-Haul is losing business due to these processes.

When I booked online it was showing dolly is there and I had booked one dolly but while picking the U-Haul it was not there .Keeping enough dolly must help customers .

I was really disappointed by UHaul Sunnyvale. The check in mobile experience took 45 minutes, then the vehicle was FILTHY. I could no see through the windshield and the steering wheel was sticky. Then, it took another 20 minutes to get the keys because of the slow service and long line, finally, because I was such in a hurry (after almost one hour) I totally forgot the dolly and other equipment I had ordered, and the service representative did not even mention it or ask me what I had ordered. I'm sorry but truly bad service.

I am so impressed with this location. I rented a truck to move from one apartment to a bigger apartment and didn't realize that the job would be as big as it was. Our initial movers helped for three hours and then had to leave. They left us with only about 3/4 of the move completed and little time left on the truck. I contacted this Uhaul and not only did the work with me to get extra hours for the truck, but they recommended additional movers to help us finish the job. The mover they recommended was so wonderful and kind. I highly recommend this Uhaul. It's the best that I have worked with.

First trip, I came in and told them I have a reservation. The rep told me they don't have any van available. I had to drive to 2 diff locations and then ended up calling the main uhaul line to reserve. The lady on the phone was nice and prompt. Reserved me a van to this SAME location. What a waste of time. They finally gave me my van but wasted 2 hours of my move time. Get your ducks together.

The truck seats were full of dog hair and the whole cabin smelled like wet dog, a few guys were sitting in the office playing their phones, they could have checked the car instead. There was a cable with some kind of connector hanging into the passenger foot area, obviously came loose somewhere

Not forget to place the equipment I rented in the truck I rented or to check to see if my order included anything else before I leave the premises. I had to drive back to get them my dollies and furniture pads. That was inconvenient.

The truck back door lock was in bad condition and that why I need to drive with back door open and my center table glass was broke I can't explain that to the men in charge because he told me I get my receipt online because he was busy cleaning the cars .Iat least I need a refund or discount for the next service I think so.

The equipment smelled like a dog pissed in it. Seriously he whole time we were driving it we have to lower our windows to make sure we won't throw up. On top of it, they don't even have a spare key for the equipment and except for one guy the employees at Sunnyvale location have no idea what they are doing. Glad that most of the people are reserving Uhaul online else it would be a nightmare. I wonder if they even know they are working at uhaul.

U-HAUL charged $7 for a utility dolly I never requested and never used. Although I disputed the charge during my returning process, they didn't care and still charged for it. Way to go U-HAUL "STEALING LITTLE MONEY".
