As we were doing our walk around before for pick up, there was the smell of piss all around the truck! Also, as we checked the cargo area the door was already ajar, that's when we noticed a homeless man sleeping in the blankets. After the man left, I climbed up into the cargo area and within the blankets were a bag of pills that was in the truck. We had to find one of the workers to notify them of the situation. They seemed to be working on personal vehicles than dealing with customers. He did a quick clean up of the cargo area after I pulled it into the return area...not very through though. Overall experience for a business seemed unacceptable.

The truck was clean but smelled like an old ashtray. I would’ve appreciated a small discount for having to drive a rental that smelled so bad that I had to keep all windows down while driving.

I was guaranteed a cargo van but it was not available. I was given a 10' truck at the same mileage rate. I ordered a van for clearance reasons knowing a truck would be too tall to get close to the location I'm moving from. I was given the option of driving across town to another location for a van. Really? This van should have been delivered to this location because it was guaranteed for my rental. I was pretty upset, still am.The move took longer than anticipated because of the extra distance we had to cover since we couldn't park the truck as close as we had planned. When I voiced this concern I didn't get much in return. Oh, the truck would normally be 79 cents a mile but they were letting me have the van rate of 69 cents. My total mileage was 11 miles. How did that help me? What about the extra time/effort it took me to load? What I estimated taking 3 hours took 5 1/2 hours. In retrospect, I should have walked away and rented elsewhere, or I should have requested a deep discount to account for my added time. It will take a lot of persuading on U-Haul's part to get my business back the next time I need to rent a van/truck. Additionally the little homeless camp next to the parking lot is a bit unnerving when returning equipment after dark, which I wouldn't recommend (but I had no choice since the move TOOK LONGER THAN PLANNED). The location doesn't feel very safe, more lights would help.

I see why there is such a cultural divide between Memphis and Nashville. I would recommend Memphis visiting a Nashville location for Customer Service training... Or U-Haul can stop hiring anyone looking for a job, and screen candidates based on professionalism and service based skills.

Quick and easy. The store was not open when I was scheduled to return the truck, so I had to return it electronically. I did three laps around that place and could not find the key return location.

Even though we used the mobile option for check-in - we really enjoyed the employees that helped us return the truck. Very helpful, personable, and kind! The next time we need a truck we will definitely go back to the Wedgewood Uhaul!

Staff was friendly and efficient. Quick hook-up of the trailer, loaded pads and dolly, checked lights and I was gone. Checking-in online before pickup is the best. Total time from arrival to departure was 15 minutes.
