The computer system was down; as a result, even though I had checked in online I had to wait an hour and a half to get the tailer I needed to rent--obviously I wasn't impressed or happy with U-Haul; it wasn't really the stores fault--it is U-Haul's.

I will never go through U-Haul if I don’t have to. From the moment I book my truck it was an issue. I called 5 times to figure out what all the issues were for and no one was helpful except for one woman on the phone. My pick up location was changed 4 times. The day I picked up my truck, no one could find my reservation or even search me by number or my name. I was told to pick up from a different location (my original pick up location) where I had to wait for an hour! Multiple people in line with me were dealing with similar circumstances. It was very frustrating and made my moving process much harder which was not needed.

I would only recommend this location to a friend for the convenience of where it is located. The staff seemed disgruntled that they had to be working, and though they got the job done, it wasn't with a friendly smile. When I returned the truck, I had arrived a couple minutes before 5 PM on Sunday which I know is the closing time, but employees were unwilling to help me finalize my contract after a stressful day of moving.One employee took the couple of seconds to tell me to drop my keys and they'll complete everything in the morning, which I did. When I got my receipt however, I noticed that I had received a charge for 2.6 gallons of gas which I feel is unjust. I had put in $10 dollars worth of gas and the gauge was awfully close to what I had picked up the truck with earlier in the day. Because your employees weren't willing to help me, I couldn't argue that charge, and resulted in getting billed $12.35 for fuel wasn't warranted.

The truck had not been swept out, had a few pieces of garbage and a dirty sock left in it. It was also completely boxed in by two other trucks at my scheduled pick up time, so I had to wait an hour for the store to open to actually get the truck, even though I'd checked in online. Would NEVER recommend.

I had to meet movers at my home, when I called the store to see what I could do, I was told I was out of luck and there was nothing they could do. first my pick up time was at 6am and i couldnt get app to do my check in so spent 40 minutes on phone getting that part done the girls on the phone were excellent....second we inspected truck it had not been washed nor cleaned and when we opened the back of truck there was still furniture in it from a previous mover so now its 15 minute till 7 am and employees start showing up for work at the office we showed a cpuple employees we showed a couple of emploees the furniture left in truck and asked them to remove it they said ok give them a few 15 minutes later still no guys to unload the furniture out of truck they completely ignored me at 705 am i walked into store and had to remind them i was still waiting for someone to remove furniture from the truck i ordered they finally came and removed furniture. but get this one of their mail employees was still dressing himself right in front of me he put his belt on and zipped his pants 2 feet from my face as he was up on truck bed. good thing he was wearing underwear if you know what i mean. i immediately walked away disgusted. finally got on the road at 720 am. so needless to say my experience with uhal has not been a good one so far. I did file a formal complaint. and i would not recommend renting a uhal truck from their location on virginia street in reno nv..... horrible service.....guaranteed ready my butt......

All said, great staff, management & equipment. Good people. But corporate and those responsible for the website should pay attention! I moved into a new house July 1 – 7th, moving stuff from two locations. I rented a 10' box truck, local rental, for five days. And another day with a 1-day trailer rental. I've been a U-Haul customer for thirty years. My online truck reservation was a disaster. I was confirmed for service at the address above. On arrival I was told there was no truck here for me, as my reservation was at another S. Virginia street location 4 miles down the road. I was insistent they fix the situation here, and was told they were sorry but I had to go to the other store for my truck. I emphatically stated that was not acceptable, and to fix it. Again I was told they were sorry but there was nothing to do. I requested to speak to the manager, and he pointed to a guy at the next counter who was on the phone. I repeated this was unacceptable and they need to fix it. I was on my bicycle. I suggested the other location bring the truck here. No! I suggested they take me to the other location. No! I suggested they give me one of the ten trucks on the lot. No! I got a little hot at this point. No swearing or anything, but straight talk all the same. And stating again, as I had planned ahead, and like many others, I work a lot, and had limited time to make this move; as such I made this reservation two weeks in advance to make sure I had what I needed when I needed it. At this point the representative asked the manager if he could rent me one of the ones on the lot, the manager said to verify it was not reserved for that day, and they did, and filled out a new reservation, and got me in that truck. I needed this truck to sit in my driveway for four days, so I could move belongings into it after work each day, and then drive a total of 11 miles, to move my stuff into my house.There was some tension throughout all of this. Your folk’s who’s names I did not get at the time, fixed what should never have happened in the first place. FYI I know IT work, web design, web management, reservations, ecommerce, etc. Whatever errors occurred in my recent U-Haul experience is fully preventable. Your onsite people saved the day, and my opinion in general. I realize each dealership is independently owned. But if you carry the U-haul brand you are U-Haul. Period! To consumers there is no difference. I commend the young desk clerk who handled our situation. He was young, appeared new to his job, and although outwardly nervous, he remained professional as he was pushed by an upset customer, while managing the situation, but most importantly, he dealt with it and fixed the situation with regard and consideration. Thank you. On Sunday July 7th, I arrived at the above U-Haul location at 8:30 AM for my 9:00AM reservation. When I arrived to pick up the trailer, I provided my License, only to realize it had been stamped VOID! I had just completed an address

I think was his last name) who worked the desk was nice and helpful, but I thought it was unprofessional and concerning that he used his phone to take my ID photo instead of sending me the text. I did eventually receive the text to do so, but it was after we had completed the forms. Overall the experience was fine. The two people working outside when we returned the equipment were great and very professional.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with Uhaul. I have rented many of trucks before. I was given a 10 foot truck to move a 2 bedroom Apartment. I reserved a bigger truck ahead of time and when I got to the store they said that they had to change and give me a smaller truck. Sorry but no 15" foot truck left. I had to make multiple trips. I was charged extra for mileage. I don't think that it was right. Very unhappy, unsatisfied costumer.

The wrong mileage and fuel was documented so we had to waste time with another representative going out to reread mileage and fuel. Then we were told everything was good and we did not owe any extra charges. We had to request a close-out receipt; it was not automatically offered.

The trailer was clean, but there were furniture pads and a dolly in it that were left from the previous rental. Had we not opened the back before leaving the location, we would have had to go out of our way to return them, before we could load. The location was understaffed. We waited in a line for nearly 30 minutes. The guy that hooked up our trailer, did a very good job. I received a text message the day before we were scheduled to pick up to tell me that our rental had been moved to another time, without the option to adjust the location in order to get the trailer when we needed it. I had to call U-Haul in order to make that happen and I was on hold for about 30 minutes.

First of all, Uhaul was unable to fill the request on the truck I reserved. Next, when traffic called me, they down sized my truck and sent me to this location to pick it up. On arrival I had to wait almost an hour (missing my dinner reservation) because I was told I was now supposed to be at the original location (but they didn’t have my truck either). David was finally about to get traffic to give them a truck for me to take. At that point David told me my mileage, fuel and complete reservation would be comped due to this inconvenience. David also told me he needed a form of payment just to HOLD until the truck was returned. Come to find out that was a lie and he charged my card. David told me, before leaving, that when I return the truck on Sunday to make sure I talked to HIM only and he would be the only one to make these comps happen. He went as far as to write his name and ID number down on my invoice to ensure there were no issues. All in all, for my first time ever using Uhaul, and what should have been a very simple move, I had a horrible experience, and I will be rethinking using your company again.

My first experience with this location was when we scheduled a truck that they confirmed over the phone was there and when we got there they didn't have the truck. We ended up having to use a van which worked but added complication to the move. The second experience was much better, the 15 foot truck I ordered was there and everything went smooth.

I ordered a 17' truck and it was guaranteed until 2 days before pickup. I was notified at that time that the previous renter had extended and my truck would not be available. I told them I would take a 15' instead, but asked if I could be compensated with free miles for taking the smaller truck. They said they do not have authority to provide free mileage. The location did make up for it in other ways, but it seems like some free mileage is a reasonable request, and the customer service reps should have authority to provide that.

Having a clean trailer would be nice. There was about an inch of dirt and rocks in the one I rented. Customer service is horrible at this location as well. The girl with the black and purple hair, didn't greet me when I drove up to drop off the trailer. Once she unhooked the trailer, all she said to me was I was good to go. First of all, I couldn't leave because there were Uhaul trucks blocking any exit. She also did not let me know that my receipt was going to be emailed. I will completely avoid renting from this location in the future!!!! Not worth the money or disrespect!

My reservation that was made over a week in advance was changed on me last minute to a pick up time 6 hours later than my original reservation. I soent 40 minutes on the phone 3 hours before I was scheduled to pick up the truck with no more than 4 of those minutes spent actually speaking to someone. I got the truck thankfully and didn't have to cancel my entire move, but I had to go to a location further away. I was told I'd be comped for the mileage and wasn't. I still paid for tbe extra distance even though it was uhaul's fault. I also noticed at the time of the uhaul pickup the worker took a photo of my license for uhaul which is fine but she used her personal cell phone. I found that wildly inappropriate for reasons I'm sure I don't need to elaborate on. This experience may very well be limited to the Reno area because quite honestly this type of poor customer service and an inability to perform on a professional level is fairly commonplace. Whether it's a chain restuarant or a uhaul company it's always a disappointment. I was pretty shocked though to have this all happen with an international company. Did the people who regulate this type of stuff just forget that they have locations in Reno? Because someone needs to help them get it together. 3 locations in Reno yet the customer has to jump through hoops to make sure they have their moving truck that was booked 9 days in advance... and then they pay extra for it. Something definitely isn't right here. Next time I'll call someone else.

I was supposed to rent from a different location but they didn’t have my truck for my reservation, despite the fact that there were several trucks on the lot. Apparently those were for other customers so I had to drive to another store to get my truck. The people who were supposed to drop my truck off that morning called to say they needed it until noon. If uhaul would have called me then to say your reservation is late, I would have been fine with that, but no notification was given. The store where I picked up the truck was extremely slow, took me 40 minutes to get my truck, despite being told it would be expedited by the general manager at my first location. Then the truck was in bad shape, the seats were falling apart, the heater would not turn off, and the cargo door would barely go up and down. The truck should be retired. I will go out of my way next time to avoid using Uhaul.

After returning the trailer, a week later I was notified that there wasn't any record of the trailer being returned. I went down to where I returned it and the same trailer was there. Your employees forgot to check it back in. Cost me an afternoon of my time because of laziness on your part

Made 1pm pickup time via internet. Showed up at 1pm no trailer. Worker said "maybe one or two hours from now". Possible no show. Needed a two inch ball on hitch. Waited and trailer finally arrived. A simple phone call saying "good afternoon, I want you to know that your trailer is running late and we will call you as soon as it arrives to get you on your way. In the meantime, be sure you have a 2" ball and four pin connector. Thank you.". Would have saved much aggrevagtion.

I completed a reservation online the night before and I should up the next day for my 10:30 reservation. We waited in line, spoke with the person at the counter, and wait on our truck and by the time we headed home we had used an hour of the 10 hour reservation we needed. The online reservation is a joke. What’s the point if we’re going to be asked all the same questions at the counter? It defeats the purpose.

I resent being charged for mileage for usage in town but I guess that's the way it goes. If I can, I'll use someone else next time. I want to put in a complaint about the first U-Haul location I put my reservation at. I reserved the same thing at the U-Haul on Oddie. I wanted to upgrade the truck but I couldn't get them on the phone for 2 days. This is really unacceptable. That place has terrible management.

It was very frustrating that I reserved a larger vehicle months in advance and then it wasn’t available. I do appreciate the email advanced notice and I understand you can’t control when people return vehicles. We couldn’t fit everything into a smaller truck and had to store and stuff things wherever we could. There wasn’t even a discount for our inconvenience!

This is the best UHaul location in Reno, Nevada. If you are seeking short-term, or even long term storage, I would greatly recommend the UBox. Upon opening my box, everything was in perfect order.

Rude employees, nobody knows their job l, they over charge and I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with uhaul!!! My stuff had water damage in my ubox as well!

I will never use or recommend UHAUL again. One single reason. John Hernandez. The boxes arrived at UHAUL 5/4. No attempt was made to contact me until 5/17. I had to call UHAUL. There more but no room.
