First trip to the storage unit and they had locked it themselves without telling me to lock it before hand, second trip around I had a Uhaul full of furniture ready to unload and the gate was closed for the night. Had to keep Uhaul an extra day so I could unload.

The app for checkout and return is practically useless. I had to retake my picture several times on checkout / pickup. The vehicle number changed as I was trying to find it and when I attempted to return the truck, I could not get past the verify location / document mileage and fuel level screen despite multiple attempts to submit a picture.

I had to reschedule my pick up date for the next day because I had to originally setup my pickup to go the counter but was late getting there before they closed. Tried to change my reservation thru the app to pickup the truck thru the app without going to the counter but wasn't able to. Would like the app to be changed to be able to do this.

I returned my rental truck the day I was told to and I was charged for an additional day. I also returned the truck with 1/8 of a tank of gas less than I was supposed to and I was charged a $60 penalty.

The owner who was very presumptuous,about he know everything because he has been doing the same 12 years, 1.- he dont know how to Make the paperwork for a Mexican license. 2.- he put an INCORRECT adress for returning the Uhaul, the reservation was Portland Laredo and he put an adress in Oregon. 3.- I believe they didnt read correcto the odometer, and, right now I am having a problem that they want to charge me $4000 I dont have a good experience, I had to rent the equipment, but I am not satisfied. Also the van had a bad tire, and the stripes of the autotransporter were seriously damaged. I think that should be taken more carne un the job.

To start, I requested a 20ft trailer and tow dolly and 10x20 storage with one month free when I booked online. I called to confirm this and was told everything was good to go. A couple days later I was contacted by the medford address that 10x20 storage wasn't available. Then just a few days before my move found out a 20ft trailer wouldn't be possible and that I would have to drive over a hour away to get a 15ft trailer. The lady on the phone worked with me that a friend (whom I gave his information of) would be able to get the dolly while I went to go get the uhal. This location wouldn't give him the dolly. And gave me additional (mouthy) Attitude oppon my arrival (45minutes late cause I was across town at rush hour picking up the short 15ft truck I had to get). Service was extremely slow and no compassion for the logistical planning process of my move. Leaving me to lift and move heavy objects solo and make a 5.5hr drive that night. I don't think I'll ever use uhal again. This review isn't just based off of this location. Where I picked up my truck, they had 20ft and 26ft trucks but not for me ... even with advanced notice... plus my truck was dirty and staff there on Foster road were ill trained. But Foster was at least friendly. Feel free to call me if questions are had.

It looked like this location had it all but it was missing customer service. The man outside that removed the car dolly from my truck seemed pissed off and slammed the tongue of the dolly to the ground. He then ignored me when I told him that he had my email address incorrect. It was not a good experience, especially after working with Truckes in Seaside.

The truck had a check engine light on. When I asked the employee in the lot to check it he said, “it's fine”. When I was insistent that it should be checked he said, “it's just a sensor. It's fine.” There was no offer to check what code was causing the CEL or to provide me with a different vehicle. This is unacceptable. Also, I reserved two utility dollies when I made my reservation online. None were provided other than the one that is zip tied in the back.

Check out/in has definitely become easier and is starting to feel more like the rental car companies, which is much more a customer oriented experience. U-haul has a great niche, but you should figure out how to give loyal customers a more premium experience.

The hispanic guy who checked the tow hitch for our truck was extremely rude & was snapping at us when we asked how come we were waiting too long. We waited 15 minutes for him to tell us whats wrong & he replied “NOT STRONG ENOUGH, BUY A NEW ONE! GO BACK INSIDE!” As he was walking away. To which we went back inside to check the requirements & the computer showed that it IS within limits. (we've also towed with the same truck before.) A different gentlemen helped us and said I'll go get the trailer for you guys and solve the problem instead of going back and forth. I thought I went to U-Haul to get a tow dolly not go see someone who thinks they're a dictator & can act anyway they want. Disgusting behavior.

See my file, I have never given this score before but I stand by it. They charged me for things I didn't do and that's wrong. Never had an issue and love Thailand but now have to rethink my choices. I have rented over 20 trucks and trailers over the past 10 yrs and am a good customer. Sorry to see this from you guys. Hopefully you will do right by me but I have my doubts about that as well.

The service I received was horrible. I was told to wait and the someone would come and hook up my trailer. When finally someone came he asked me which one it was...I had no idea. I told him, I don't know, and he walked away from me. I had to go inside again and ask someone what number it was, I told them. I don't work here, how am I supposed to know which one it is....finally someone from inside came out and hooked up the trailer. The day before, I rented a 26 foot truck. At first I was being helped at the counter, then a woman walked in and asked a question...the guy left me at the counter, while he ran out to help the woman he had a crush one...he came back in talking about how great of a woman she was......this type of service is terrible and I was left to feel like my business did not matter to them

I rented a truck and had to wait more than an hour to get it because their system was down. I only drove it 20 miles and put more than two gallons of gas in it, which brought it back past where I started and when I was checking it in they told me to leave it asked me if I had put gas in it and I told them I had. They still charged me for gas. I sent an email and they ignored it.

I rated average because I requested a 10x10x10 and the unit I was rented has a lower head clearance with roll up door cylinder just inside entrance. The unit is actually 10x9. I had 3 standard pallets to load in to be pickup later and can not be stacked to 6'4" ready to go in storage unit. Disappointed and will have to repack in driveway at time of pickup.

Jose, who helped us hook up our trailer, was amazing. He saw me looking at my truck to figure out which hitch to buy, and saved me so much time by taking me inside to find the exact right one. And he helped us attach the hitch and the trailer quickly and efficiently. We were in/out in no time at all thanks to Jose's excellent customer service.

very disappointed in the on line return process. would not let me complete the return process , i would enter al the picture for confirmation mileage, fuel level clean front and back answered all the questions and location of truck in return line, then it would kick me off site. tried this 3 different times in the pouring rain. i picked it up with little over 1/4 tank , i returned with a full tank. and then to top off this whole experience I was charged an additional $42.18. not very happy with the whole thing.

I've been cussed out by employees at this location, I've had trailers not get installed incorrectly, I have received trailers with flat tires, I have gotten trailers missing wheel bolts and then been told "its not my problem" by uhauls own mechanicand now I am being charged for two days even though I had the trailer returned, I will one never go here but at this point i am actaully going to go out of my way to buy and store a trailer as to not have to use uhaul ever again and I will also be blocking this debt of 69.99 at my bank and closing the card. Like I said I am willing to pay the 32.99 I agreed to in contract but im not paying double when I dropped the trailer off am in the rain in the middle of the night in order for you to have the trailer available the next day. I AM beyond sick of uhaul and this location in general. And I'm

I was given the impression I had to have my uhaul back at a certain time so we dropped it off three hours later after driving 35 miles and was charged 66.00. I would have kept it all day and will never use uhaul again for such an overcharge compared to usage.

The ramp on the truck wasn't operational and required multiple calls to roadside assistance. Also, I used the self-service app, which had me walking around a lot looking for a truck in the cold, that was about 2 blocks from the office. I had to complete the "qualification" process out in the lot in the cold, instead of in advance, and when completed, I was instructed to go back to the office again for the keys. It took about 45 mins to go through all this, and there were no customers in the office. I wish I hadn't used the app.

I'm still seeing a charge for uhaul that shouldn't be there. I was charged one amount , then the difference between the quote and the actually mileage used, however not long after that charge appeared I received a charge for the full amount on the latest contract I just received, and the first charge disappeared but the second one has not.

I was charged an after hours fee even though I completed the 24/7 turn in. I called the location and the person on the phone said I didn't do it even though I did. He said he would have someone help me but I never got a call back. I then called back after 8 hours and they said they would get back to me. The trailer i rented had no running lights. I was referred to the hitch installation center for troubleshooting. Waited at the installation center for 10 minutes and no one assisted. Called the Uhaul center and they said the shop was closed for MLK observance. I asked what to do next and was told I could self diagnose. I checked the connections on my vehicle power and ground were both good. I did not troubleshoot the equipment. I took the trailer but could not drive it at night which cut my moving time in half. On a positive note Vlad, the guy who answered when I called was helpful, it was the yard guy who took forever to hook up the trailer then sent me to the closed installation center.

The van itself has giant signage advertising the rate of $19 a day which is a LIE. You charge me $89 dollars a day and then have the nerve to slap on additional fees for cleaning when the truck was dirty to begin with. Very sneaky and shady business practice. Never using your services again you should be sued for false advertising.

Here is the thing that I found very troubling. When I asked questions or was told something I found out later I did not get the full story or implications of doing a pick up of auto trailer. This inconsistency was not only from local but also from your call center in St.Louis. As Senator Baker said in Watergate hearings I forgot to ask or should have asked. Everything worked out in the end with me changing my original plans. There where other inconsistencies with reservations. It seems that your “ team” have difficulty play books. The staff is AMAZING, and they give great service. I was upset that I was charged a late fee of $23.99, not knowing that I had to pay right on time. I'd like that to be refunded. The owner Bob was very helpful. We had a very rough move from Phoenix with equipment issues and changes that no one could control. I was very upset at the situation and was rude to say the least. Bob worked with me and calmed my concerns. I am thankful he took the time to help me even though he was dealing with several other issues himself. Thank you for the understanding and I will be using his location for any of my upcoming rental needs.

The staff at the Beaverton facility on TV Hwy are great people; very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Even with all the smoke and the natural stress patrons bring with them, the staff was able to retain their sense of humor and helpfulness. The storage unit was clean, very secure, and easy to access. I appreciate the tall ceilings! Thank you U-Haul!

only issue I had. I had waited 30 minutes in line to get a truck and rentva unit. The guy stated I could fill out paperwork when I returned truck. I assumed my storage unit was in the system, so upon my return I could place my items in unit. I was not given my code, upon return I had to wait another 20 minutes in line to finish getting the unit, in which was never put in system upon my first visit and the unit was not placed on hold and was unavailable. The second time waiting in line was my issue.

I love the guys in the office they were helpful, friendly, funny and light-hearted. During such stressful and uncertain times it was really nice to just be able to crack a few jokes and lighten the mood. I will definitely use this storage facility again in the future if the need ever arises!

I really liked that I could rent via mobile device and after hours, since the move was unplanned. However, I was supposed to receive the first month free with the rental of a vehicle. There was no way to apply the free month via online. There is no way to contact the storage office directly (I must call and wait on hold from 20 min to 1hr+) and have yet to receive assistance with this 3 weeks after the move-in. Also, the access wasn't clear, and we we're locked out of the facility after hours the first time we arrived (because 2 vehicles entered using our code, which "logged us out"). We had to call an after hours line, leave a message, and wait 30 min for someone to show up only to tell us that we could have walked outside the gate and enabled our code again. If there was a usable FAQ or chat feature, and if I could actually reach a human at the rental location, this would be much better.

Understaffed and the staff who are there don’t respect client’s time. Each time I have gone in, I have waited nearly half an hour to get service, been treated like an inconvenience, and the office staff are very disorganized. No one ever answers the phone either. Do better.

I dropped a rental truck at this location as well as renting a storage unit. The process with the storage unit went well and there were no issues. I however have an issue with the rental return. I picked up a 15 foot truck in Medford Oregon on Saturday June 27th. When I picked up the truck it was very low on gas and I asked the attendance what is the process for fueling. I was told to return the truck with the same amount of gas as when I picked it up. I returned the truck with the exact amount of gas to the Beaverton location but then last night got a bill for $54 in fuel charges. I called the store and was told they will look into it. I am not sure why I was charged for fuel when I returned it exactly the same amount of fuel as I picked it up with. I think this is taking advantage of customers and a sneaky way to get some additional money from the customer. I will certainly dispute this charge if a credit is not give to my account. This is no way to treat a customer.

The staff were very loud so it was hard to hear to process my reservation. Besides that, my reservation was lost and had to be created which took much longer than expected. The paperwork there is duplicative and wasteful. Why can't the storage contract be emailed? Why did I have to fill out my insurance information twice? These seem to be mostly systemic issues and not the fault of the particular location.

other than very long wait times in office lines to pick up the truck/van and arrange for storage, getting from california to oregon with a 15' foot, returning it, and then putting stuff in storage was a breeze. next day, picked up a 10' van to transport from storage into a condo. HOWEVER, was not informed needed to provide home owners insurance coverage information for storage and that would have been helpful to know when reserving.

There were only 2 Uhaul employees behind the counter at 3:30 on a Sunday. Also the 1st day of the month. The line was out the door. I was told the gentleman was going to put a lock on my empty storage unit and then I could leave. He never came back. 10 minutes later someone else finished the transaction but only by telling me he would send me and email.

Go someplace else. Take pictures before & after renting a vehicle or move into storage. So when they try to charge you bogus fees you can get them removed. Be persistent, use the 800 cust service #.
