These trucks rattle and bang when going over small bumps. This 10ft truck was a 2019 model with only 19K miles. The manufacturing plant that adds the U-Haul box on the back of the GM platform really needs to design the integration of the box and GM cab better, so they don't sound like they are banging against each other.Terry W.

Customer service by phone and customer service by chat were just as bad as this location. There was a huge line in this store that I had to wait in, even though I had already checked in online. Uhaul gave another customer my same truck # online and they almost took the truck I had waited in line to get. The UHaul app for returns is absolutely HORRIBLE and I was not able to complete the check-in. I called customer service and was on hold for over 30 mins and then tried the chat. They told me I would be charged 20 $for not completing the return online, even though the app would not let me and then disconnected the chat when I was typing my reply. Im actually pretty annoyed. I was not made aware of a 20 $after hors service fee. I would have otherwise done this rental a different day. Also, when I returned truck which was an hour after i picked it up, there was no where to pull up where I was instructed to do so. So i left truck in lane to see if I could find someone to help me. I then had a man come up and in a very rude way and ask me if i had the key. He yelled at me for leaving the truck in the lane and walked away before I could explain that I didn't understand where to leave it. VERY RUDE! I honestly will never use Uhaul again . Staff was helpful and the truck was clean but I used the self check in and I looked for four different trucks before I found one that was where it was supposed to be, but it was blocked in by trailers. I went to the counter and they got me in a different truck but I still had to fold in the mirrors on my truck and the adjacent truck, as well as move a tow dolly out of the way to be able get out of the spot it was parked in.Myles P.

It was a horrible experience. The lights didn't work properly, and the man who was suppose to check everything failed. The doors on the trailer were left open, I had people honking and pointing that the doors were flopping... ridiculous.. 2 single women, older, and he completely failed. Similar problem. I showed up and the app said to scan the code where the key drop was. I couldn't find the key drop, and then when I did, there was no code to scan. I went inside and when the counter personnel were finished shooting the breeze they finally acknowledged me and asked if I was there to drop off, which they said I could have done by simply leaving the truck in the drop off line with the keys in it. It wasted an extra five minutes when I was exhausted from moving and not really in the mood for the inefficiency of the process that should be easier when you consider this is pretty much all your business does.Eric T.

Person that checked me back in was extremely rude When I asked for a recipe told me would be a while I said I'd wait 10 minutes later he came back and I ask when he'd provide me a printed receipt he said he's going on a lunch break The customer service person I complained to apologized and printed me a receipt . I did the online/smartphone return for my uhaul truck then was very rudely told that I had to bring the truck to the return equipment line. This person was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. Because of this I will avoid this location at all costs. 0/10, would not recommend. Like I get it, you don't want to walk to where the truck is, but what is the point of the online return if I'm just told I have to return the truck to where he wants it. If he had been half way polite I would not have cared. His customer service was absolutely the worst I'd encountered and this was yesterday and I'm still bothered by it.Samuel F.

Check-in procedures were much more complex than in the past and dependent on a smart phone. There was nothing communicated about this in the online reservation process, nor about needing to have someone they could reach by phone to be an alternate contact. Everything was fine until I returned the trailer. I followed the return equipment signs and jumped out of my SUV and asked the Uhaul employee if this is where I drop off the trailer. He treated me horrible. He asked me repeatedly if this was where I picked it up and I repeatedly said yes, I rented it here. His tone and attitude was so rude and degrading. I didn't understand that what he was trying to ask me was this the exact location in the lot where I had originally picked up the trailer, which it was not. I followed the drop off signs and had no idea I was supposed to go to the other end of the parking lot to have the trailer removed from my SUV. He never apologized for the way he talked to me and I reported his treatment to me inside to another employee and they didn't seem to care either.JAMES M.

Contactless pick-up was NOT contactless. They had to find my reserved vehicle, hidden behind a locked gate. 10+ Dings all over it, none of which were documented in the photos, so I had to photograph all of them to not be charged them. Less than 1/2 a tank of gas. It always takes 45 minutes to pick up a vehicle at this location...and then I have to fill it to drive it. UghChristine B.

I reserved way in advance a 26 footer truck. When I came to pick-up, they said the truck was gone/stolen and without any choice had to get 20 footer truck. I explained that would require me to make an additional milage and I would like to be compensated for that. I had movers coming to my house and could not afford losing time, so I took the 20 footer, but suggested I talk with the manager when bringing the truck back. The manager Jose, was rude. He said nothing he could do, because I accepted the truck and it's on me. He will not reduce the $ per mile charge and I will have to take it up with corporate. I have no idea who supervises this manager, but he should not be one. When I came in the morning at 8:55AM there was a line of 6 customers and only one U-Haul employee. Vlad tried to help, but whatever he promised, even a discount, was not honored by the manger, Jose. I will be requesting a full refund for renting the truck with U-HaulJoseph C.

Returning the auto transporter was difficult because a lot of vans were returned/ parked blocking all the spots for transporter. I got yelled at by the person checking us in because I could barely understand what he was saying, language barrier is understandable but his customer service skills are very poor. This was followed up by another employee telling me I had been towing the trailer illegally. How is this so if a U-Haul store passed me for inspection when I picked up the trailer to begin with? Van was filthy on the outside - someone had driven the car all the way from Phoenix there were so many bugs on the windshield i could hardly see out the front window. the person who checked me in said sorry our hose is broken. One of the back doors did not open. inside of the cab smelled horrible - body odor. The last person who had driven the car had sweat so badly the front seat was wet and smelled. The person checking me in when i complained said sorry there was nothing they could do - there were no other vans available. So i took the van - i lived 5 miles away and i had to pull over twice before i got home because i was gagging so much. I went and bought baking soda car air fresheners Clorox wipes and a car cleaners for cloth seats. I left the windows open for two nights and we delayed out family trip to the beach for a week by a day. fortunately i was the only one in the van when driving to the Oregon coast. Before returning the van i did not want the next person to have the same experience i had so i took the van thru a car was. I wiped it down with Clorox wipes. When i turned the van in i asked for a discount and they said i am sorry you had that experience but did not offer me anything. I would like a 20-30 % discount put back on my credit card. I have used them for 3+ years now and have always been happy with them. Customer service is great, but then again I'm there to rent a truck and move, not get served tea and crumpets ðŸ¤. I appreciate their kindness, professionalism, and that they make the process simple and quick so I can get in/out/and on with my move. They're always nice, answer my questions, and sometimes my quote is more than the actual charge (I always overestimate how many miles I'll be going to allow for extra trips). The additional fees here are the same as anywhere else, and both the quote and receipt they email break each charge down and explain them. I really appreciate that because both the store and I are too busy to waste on explaining to me, a grown adult that can read an invoice, about something that can be emailed! Here's my biggest suggestion for all uhaul rentals: take the time to refill the gas to where it was when you got it, and take the 10 minutes to log the condition of the truck when you check it out. The website makes this very easy. I will continue to use them, and to recommend them. Thanks guys!!Jasmine D.

She seemed embarrassed and was just going thru the motions to get me out of the store.. Super unprofessional. On drop off employees seemed disinterested in their work. The fact that they park unrented vehicles in front of the storage units and that you have to wait a long time for them to move vehicles in order for you have access to your rental is a huge INCONVENIENCE. I requested a move out on April first. I received an email stating my rent would increase and responded stating I would not be paying as I had already requested a move out. I then called U-Haul's customer service line and they said that they were going to have somebody be submitting my move out request and have it be processed. Then finally on May 14th someone called me and noticed my padlock was gone and my door was open on my storage unit and wanted to know if I had done that intentionally. I rented a truck and a storage unit at the same time/location. The gentleman at the counter could not have been any more helpful and courteous. When I went out to the lot to get my truck a Hispanic gentleman asked me for my contract. I gave him ALL of the paperwork I had received from the gentleman at the counter. The Hispanic gentleman then got upset and threw all of my paperwork in the trash. I had to dig thru the trash to recover my rental contract and the location/number of my storage unit. Storage was okay, check out was ridiculous. Despite doing everything correctly, it took 16 days, multiple live chats with uhaul, several phone calls, and finally traveling to the site itself to complete the process. I rated average because I requested a 10x10x10 and the unit I was rented has a lower head clearance with roll up door cylinder just inside entrance. The unit is actually 10x9. I had 3 standard pallets to load in to be pickup later and can not be stacked to 6'4" ready to go in storage unit. The owner Bob was very helpful. We had a very rough move from Phoenix with equipment issues and changes that no one could control. I was very upset at the situation and was rude to say the least. The staff at the Beaverton facility on TV Hwy are great people; very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Even with all the smoke and the natural stress patrons bring with them, the staff was able to retain their sense of humor and helpfulness. The storage unit was clean, very secure, and easy to access. only issue I had. I had waited 30 minutes in line to get a truck and rentva unit. The guy stated I could fill out paperwork when I returned truck. I assumed my storage unit was in the system, so upon my return I could place my items in unit. I was not given my code, upon return I had to wait another 20 minutes in line to finish getting the unit, in which was never put in system upon my first visit and the unit was not placed on hold and was unavailable. I really liked that I could rent via mobile device and after hours, since the move was unplanned. However, I was supposed to receive the first month free with the rental of a vehicle. There was no way to apply the free month via online. There is no way to contact the storage office directly (I must call and wait on hold from 20 min to 1hr+) and have yet to receive assistance with this 3 weeks after the move-in. Also, the access wasn't clear, and we we're locked out of the facility after hours the first time we arrived (because 2 vehicles entered using our code, which "logged us out"). We had to call an after hours line, leave a message, and wait 30 min for someone to show up only to tell us that we could have walked outside the gate and enabled our code again. I dropped a rental truck at this location as well as renting a storage unit. The process with the storage unit went well and there were no issues. I however have an issue with the rental return. I picked up a 15 foot truck in Medford Oregon on Saturday June 27th. When I picked up the truck it was very low on gas and I asked the attendance what is the process for fueling. I was told to return the truck with the same amount of gas as when I picked it up. I returned the truck with the exact amount of gas to the Beaverton location but then last night got a bill for 54 $in fuel charges. I called the store and was told they will look into it. I am not sure why I was charged for fuel when I returned it exactly the same amount of fuel as I picked it up with. I think this is taking advantage of customers and a sneaky way to get some additional money from the customer. I will certainly dispute this charge if a credit is not give to my account. The staff were very loud so it was hard to hear to process my reservation. Besides that, my reservation was lost and had to be created which took much longer than expected. The paperwork there is duplicative and wasteful. Why can't the storage contract be emailed? Why did I have to fill out my insurance information twice? other than very long wait times in office lines to pick up the truck/van and arrange for storage, getting from california to oregon with a 15' foot, returning it, and then putting stuff in storage was a breeze. next day, picked up a 10' van to transport from storage into a condo. HOWEVER, was not informed needed to provide home owners insurance coverage information for storage and that would have been helpful to know when reserving.Amy C. | Premières impressions
There were only 2 Uhaul employees behind the counter at 3:30 on a Sunday. Also the 1st day of the month. The line was out the door. I was told the gentleman was going to put a lock on my empty storage unit and then I could leave.
