It took over an hour to get my rental after I arranged a contactless pick up if a rental truck in line a few days before I needed it. I entered all of my information, provided the required image of my Driver's License and scanned the back and provided a method of payment for the rental. I arrived at 10:00am (on time)1 to pick up the vehicle. No one who worked there was familiar with the contactless pickup process and could not direct me to where the “scan code” for the location was posted. The app said it could not confirm my GPS location to confirm where I was, I could not simply select the location address where I was, or enter the location sight address manually. I was unable to initiate the rental pick up process without a scan code. The customer service rep offered to start a new rental process. No thank you, I do not want to give out my payment information again. I finally found the scan code for the location outside, on a different wall from the “pick up your vehicle here sign, and it was about an inch in size. It took several attempts to scan the code. I had to verify my information, my name, address, length of rental, number of miles, take a photo of myself AND my driver's license AGAIN. Plus, I had to do all of this from inside the building (not CONTACTLESS if I have to go inside the business right?) because the store does not have cell service or wi-fi broadcast outside. I then needed to do a self inspection and use my phone to take photos of any problems with the vehicle that were not marked with an “X sticker”. I took photos to document the unmarked damage I found on the rear bumper, truck bed, and dent above the back window of the truck. Of course I had to do this OUTSIDE in the parking lot, snap each photo, type a description of the damage for 4 different problems and then the APP glitched, said it had “timed out” and I had TO START OVER!!! I called the 800 customer service line, the employees in the building had a line of customers ahead of me (the contactless rental customer) and I was u see immense pressure to get this problem resolved. I had 2 movers waiting for me in the parking lot, and the person I was meeting to pick up the large piece of furniture I purchased had driven 2.5 hours to meet me on this day and I had committed to being at their location by now (10:30am) Now I am on the phone with customer service. She is trying to identify the problem with the program and why I was not able to complete the contactless pickup process online. She had to consult with several people, put me on hold, verify information about my rental, ask for my credit card again. It took another 30 minutes waiting for her to try to complete the contactless rental process. This experience cost me (1), (2) movers, and the owner (1) of the piece I purchased ONE extra hour EACH in wasted time. Do you know how much it costs to hire movers? They charge by the hour. Anywhere from $150-$400 per hour. I cannot afford that type of administrative / program error!!

Amanda and Courtney were so wonderful. They were kind, informative, and very good at loading and unloading the containers exactly as we needed them. I was able to get my boxes delivered, transported, and picked up extremely quickly. Moving can be so stressful, and these women helped alleviate my stress. It was nice to have so many moving pads; but it was also a bit excessive. I think extras were placed in my containers. Thankfully I was moving locally and could store the extra moving pads in my vehicle to save space in the containers. The customer service was good. The doors/hinges on the containers could use some improvement. They were hard to close with and without items in the containers. We had to really lift up hard and force the latch into the correct position. Overall, Amanda and Courtney made our first experience with uhaul moving containers a positive one. Those women know their jobs well.

We were charged for an extra day because we didn't which u-haul place to return truck. They were owned both by same person. Total rip off. Then we got charged an additional $25.00 because there was some dirt in the truck !! Like “Hello” it has been pouring down rain so there is no way some dirt wouldn't get into the truck. We had even left a half a tank of gas in truck & still got charged extra. Not real friendly or helpful people at all. Will go somewhere else if ever needing a rental again. Even out of town. Two $58.00 dollar charges for same rental not cool at all.

I was recieved by a trainee who was a bit lost. She was going to charge me double the miles of my trip! I expalined that ai had more than enough miles for my trip. She had not read the odometer carefully enough. She was also having trouble with the computer entry. Fortunately the manager gal arrived and helped her get straightened out. Again, sensibly considerate in not charging me a late fee for being a couple hours late. After having been stuck on the freeway for 3 extra hours due to a police chase that shut down the freeway. That got me in very late. Good people who are reasonable are why I will use them again when the opportunity arises.

Something seemed to be wrong with the steering because the truck was all over the road and difficult to keep in the lane. In addition the steering wheel was very wobbly. Scary to drive. The truck should have been checked out more carefully before it was rented. The attendant, however, gave excellent service. We were not aware of the steering problem until on the freeway. .

Check in time was excessive even though I had reserved the day before. I did not rate the equipment well as I only got 6.8 mpg. That is ridiculous. I drove to Eatonville and back, not many hills and very light load coming back.

I'd love a phone call to tell you about my experience with this location and uhaul. I may never rent from your company again. I was not pleased with being charged for miles the repair person put on the vehicle nor the waste of time my time. I am significantly behind schedule because of this as I could only get one load moved.

There are other moving trucks out there or you can hire a moving company with their own, but when it comes down to it, U-Haul really is the most convenient and readily available option out there. At least here where I live. The problem it they gouge you with the fees and billing. We rented the U-Haul and found out we may not be done as early as thought. Called the rental location who said it would be ok to bring it back later that day and just use the after hours app and key drop. When I got the bill, I was charged double on everything down the itemized list. I should have kept the truck until the next day. I had it about 4-5 hrs over and was charge the whole 24 hrs of use. I was also double charged for the dolly use that came with the truck. That should just be part of the truck rental in my opinion. I was charged double on “Environment Fee” and double on insurance, even thought the original insurance should have carried over. I mopped the back and cleaned it really well, but I would be surprised if they stuck me with a cleaning bill too because they found a small rock in the corner of the bed. Will I use them again, yes. Why? Not too many options here and until there is, I'm stuck with them. Not all is bad. They do have an app you can use to facilitate pick up and drop off. That's a plus, but the app had some glitches for me and if you were somewhere with poor service, it might not work too well. Their trucks are nice and well maintained. It was a smooth ride and hardly knew I was pulling a full 26' load. They do have extras to help with moving. Boxes, wrap, appliance dollies, blankets, etc. The trucks come with a utility dolly, but your are charged extra if you use it and again for everyday you have the truck.

1 bay was broken, there were several people using the facility with only 2 bays. We all parked in the parking lot and had to walk pretty far to/from vehicles/units. I’ve never used this sort of storage before, I only have experience with the facilities where you can drive right up to your unit. I don’t prefer this layout, that is ok. People were helpful and the complimentary carts helped.

Check-in could be simplified; i.e. I uploaded driver information under “pre-registration” or whatever it's called so presumed payment/identification provided would suffice. Had to do it again, and wait. Upselling a little overboard although the agent was personable. The person who in-processed our rental was extremely efficient and friendly.

The truck was filthy. Hair was everywhere. Extremely bad and hard to breathe in. It smelled like wet dog and the hair was flying around in truck because i had to have window fown due to smell. I normally don't like wearing face masks but i had to to survive my ride to the house. I vacuumed alot of it up but the smell still stayed. I've used uhaul before and never had this issue. I know it was just one lazy worker that didn't want to do his job so i will continue to use uhaul whenever i need too. Upset about it i have a video recording of the truck on my phone. Other people would probably puke if they had to deal with that. I was in a hurry to move so i couldn't afford to lose time asking for it to be cleaned or not be able to rent a truck that day so i took it.

I cleaned my 15 x 10 storage out 7ish days after paying approximately $180 for it for the month. Even though I was out early, and notified the Uhaul staff, Uhaul did not refund me for the 23ish days that I had pre paid. Ask for a daily price if you are going to move your stuff out before their 30 day term, before paying for 30 days.
