I was moving out of my storage unit and moving my items into U-Haul boxes to ship across state. Terran the general manager went above and beyond. I was very upset because I had found mold all over everything in my unit. She was understanding and explained what I should do. It did not end there, the day continued with things just not going right Tarren, was there to answer all my questions and help me get through my day. It was a very stressful day and your general manager help make it as easy as it could be she went above and beyond and made a horrible experience much more pleasurable! I am still not happy that everything has mold over all over it and hopefully I can get some assistance with that.

I got a bill for my monthly storage fee of $279 but as you know I moved out on the 4th so I will disregard that bill. There is a person named Eric that works where my storage is he is the best very funny ,helpful in all a very nice person.

I have had a storage unit everywhere I've lived for 30 years. I have never had to pay a fee to be able to throw my trash away. Never have I had my rate go up over and over. Never have I had someone in the office of the facility I am renting from enroll me in automatic bill payments without my permission. I did like that it was clean and had bathrooms.

Ms. Stephanie is AMAZING. Very attentive to detail and a very pleasant person. Idk why the office is closed on Friday, but I could do everything on line, so really not a big deal. Could use a little more room at the entry point for trucks towing trailers, but if you can drive, you wont hit anything. Spaces are clean, no cobwebs, no dust, plenty of carts to move your things with. VERY SATISFIED

The app wasn't functional at all and wouldn't let me pick up or drop off the truck. When I got to the site they didn't have the truck I reserved even though I booked the reservation over a week in advance so I had to be transferred to another location. The transfer didn't work properly so instead of ensuring I had a vehicle, I was told to go and "attempt to figure it out using the app" which again was not functional. Went to the new location, pressed the innercom system for assistance as instructed and found it was broken and hasn't been working for a while now (explained by the employee after we found one). Finally got in contact with an employee after waiting for about 2 hours for someone to come help. The employees themselves were helpful but seemed just as aggravated as myself and about 3 other customers were with the service itself. Would not recommend uhaul as this is my third awful experience with uhaul in a row, and will never be using uhaul again in the future.

2nd floor units suck. Maze like halls are way to narrow.. No lock inside as advertised. Luckily I had my own. Place is closed on a FRIDAY, WHY??? Couldntuse my one month free storage coupon and pulling a trailer inside the compound is challenging to say the least. Thank god for the internet rental, or I'd be out of luck on friday when I pulled up. If you pull in with a trailer and there's nobody there and you cant do the on line thing, good luck getting out.

This was the 2nd time I rented from this U-haul location. Both instances I experienced long wait times even though there were more employees than customers in the store. While I waited to be helped this last time, the manager spent at least 10 minutes cleaning a white board instead of coming out and helping with the customers that were waiting. I was told the vehicle had a full tank of gas, which I verified before I left the store. During my rental, I drove a total of 21 miles. Per the agreement, I had to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas. I did just that, but it took a total of 5 gallons of gas to fill. So with driving 21 miles, and not pulling any trailer, the fuel mileage was 4 miles/gal. With the gas receipt in hand, I brought this to the attention of the store manager. His response was he couldn't do anything and sorry about your luck. I just ask for equitable compensation, but received nothing.

There weren't clear instructions on where the equipment was located. Couldn't find the van I rented. I was on hold on the phone for 30 minutes waiting to speak with a representative. I inquired about the reservation guarantee policy as I was unable to start my rental for an hour, alone in the location at 7:30PM looking for the van I was supposed to picked up; the representative told me it wouldn't apply in my case. I wasn't able to start my 730PM rental until an hour later. Lost time due to unclear instructions on where the equipment was located.

The whole process was great with the staff very helpful and nice, the only thing I would ask to change is the AC ones are not very kool at all l, a few times I went to my storage it was hot in there as soon as I opened the door to head to my unit!

When we arrived at 9:15 we were told they were very busy and would try and squeeze us in. We had reserved a storage unit which was explained to us it was second floor, street accessible and climate controlled for $59.95. When we finally were waited on ( an hour after we arrived) we were told our unit was on the second floor but was stairs only accessible. We needed elevator accessible which we learned was $10 more per month. Once we entered our unit there was a rodent trap inside. We would like that removed. With this experience we were not happy. The only saving grace was that the employee who checked us in was very friendly.

The original ordering process was ok. When I arrived for the p/u of the vehicle. Totally unreliable. The phone APP basically blew up. The CSR at the location tried their best to assist. But I was still sent to another location. The next location was able to complete the process. Turns out the price provided in the online order process was not what my final invoice was. I was sent back to the original location to p/u the vehicle. (insult to injury) I was given the wrong lockbox combination and had to get further assistance to obtain the vehicle key. I wasted almost an hour of my time before I finally got out of the p/u location. The return process was nondescript but more efficient.

It started out good in New York State but when I got to Florida, everything went wrong. Especially the costs. For no known legitimate reason, prices practically doubled!

This is a very clean and well constructed facility. It seems to be very secure, as well. It is very easy to get in and out of, without lots of turns. This is very helpful when hauling a trailer to load and unload items.

I used the app for both pick up and drop off.It was difficult to use because it would not accept my photos of myself or license on pick up, and the pictures of the fuel level and mileage on drop off without any indication of what I needed to do to make them acceptable. I ended up giving up on the drop off (I suspect that was because the fuel level decal was right over the screen) and simply dropped the keys in the key drop. Also on the pickup, the lockbox what the keys were was so rusted that it took me many minutes to get into it.

Reserved online. Sent me to a location where the person behind the desk could not complete the process to get me the van. Had to send someone from the other location. During drop off I had to drive the van from the pickup location to another location. The radio in the van did not work.

Each employee has a nasty attitude from management to sales rep all need refresher courses on customer services. I deserve a refund 2days renting they put a red lock on my unit reverse calling number on file. I arrive get alarmed & they said I needed a different lock! They could call why stop my access to the unit???

Dayton Ohio at Wright Field on Harshman Rd was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond for us to make sure we had everything we needed ! Melbourne Florida storage and moving on Harbor City Blvd also did the same! Love U-Haul customer service! I'm not blowing smoke when I tell you they are the best customer service of ANY business I have seen in a long time! Keep it up !! It's refreshing!

Seriously - I have never seen a cleaner, more fresh-smelling, well-lit, accessible storage facility in my life (I'm almost 70). It was climatized, and the temperature was always regulated, no matter the heat or cold outside the building. My only complaint is that the unit itself had no interior light, which the manager pointed out during my initial tour, and who commented it was only one of a handful of units without standalone internal illumination. I found the pricing very reasonable, and have already recommended the facility to folks looking for storage, and will continue to recommend it when the opportunities arise.

The car smelled like cigarette smoke. This was extremely nauseating. It was otherwise clean. It was a relatively easy process, though some of the steps seemed out of order, for example you should get the key before you go to the car, but that was in the wrong order.

I only had one disappointing encounter with one worker, an older African American woman who didn't listen well and kept rambling on about nothing. She used verbiage that was unfamiliar to me such as "Shuckin and Jivin". That day was a waste of my time, and the company's resources, and the possibility to make another sale from me, a long-time repeat customer.

I reserved a cargo van for after hours pickup when I arrived there they had three vans on the lot but I had to go quarter mile away to some vacant poorly lit storage facility to pick up my van in the dark and a few shady looking characters were hanging outside, and nowhere to park my personal car unless I parked at the U-Haul facility down the road and walked back to the storage yard. Wtf Also the van stated it had no damage anywhere but as I looked it over it had stickers where they had marked damage on it from a previous incident in three different places.

Drove 1000 miles to get to my reserved storage, only to find the advertisement was misleading/false. Advertised on the Uhaul website and listed on the reservation contract even is that there are elevators and carts for use. Turns out these items are in all the storage buildings EXCEPT the one given to me. With my disability, there was no chance I could accept the unit. Staff was helpful and resolved the problem, but it took four hours to resolve. I almost spent as much time trying to get a storage unit as I did driving from Chicago!! Also, the unit I finally got is about 5 feet off the ground. They should put a notice so folks are aware. I had NO idea what I would find when I arrived and anything that was advertised just gave a completely wrong impression of the place.

This place always seems so disorganized. In order to save time I reserved online for a van and three pads to safely separate my expensive moving pieces. It still was a twenty minute process between getting there (there was only one person ahead of me) and leaving. When I got to the destination the belongings I had to be moved I didn't have my pads to safely separate my items. When I returned the van I asked for a credit. I'll wait to see if the credit ever arrives on my statement. Second time renting from this location. No other choices in the area so what to do?????

Not a comment for the facility or the vehicle itself but I found the truck share rental process to be unnecessarily complicated. It should not have taken me 20 minutes to navigate through the rental process when I'm at the location at 6:30 in the evening and it is dark... It felt like geochaching where I had to follow a set of elaborate clues to get from one step to the next.... It delayed me wholly unnecessarily. There has got to be a way to streamline that. Otherwise, I found the concept and rental situation as a whole to be pretty neat.

No issues renting storage or with the storage. When I tried to exit the space on 1-28 the office was closed and we were directed to go to the uhaul location up the road. When i got there there were three people sitting behind the counter only to tell me I had to drive back to the other location to get a picture. I went back on the 29th and they never asked me for a picture and had me checked out in less than a minute. EXTREMELY frustrating.

Was not told about the stairs. I thought I would have access to an elevator…..but NO. I am 64 and I could not even attempt the stairs. Online it indicated that you would have an elevator. Lady at location said stairs at that building. Had to go find another storage business and store my things. I will be contacting someone Monday about getting my money back.

Well the app wouldn't allow me to check out the vehicle or work properly. I had to go next door and speak with a team member to get my reservation going. He was super helpful and I showed him the app not working while I was with him. Returning the vehicle everything went fine. I returned it as discussed by myself and the team member who helped me.

The storage facility was very clean even thou there are NO trash cans any where … BUT there was a MAJOR ROACH problem in the surrounding areas & you could see them crawling into my unit!! Your cleaning/worker lady was very very nice but unfortunately getting rid of the roaches while I'm leaving is difficult & expensive for US! We had to spray bomb the Uhaul & my trailer & once boxes were in garage & furniture in house we've had to spray bomb the whole house 3 times …. Praying that works!! There needs to be a better means of y'all getting access/fines/evictions to "neighbors" who are storing food items that are attracting ROACHES & creating this problem. It should cost them, not their Goodwill neighbors!! Unfortunately they, once again, are the problem, and the reason for this bad review. Ending on a good note, Staff was very nice & helpful but way over worked. Give them a RAISE!!

Roaches 🪳 paid for dumpster to be unlocked and it wasn’t ever and never was reimbursed at all I was charged for a month rent when I closed the account out and took my lock off I was never contacted at all back about reimbursement for the roaches that came in another’s unit and was so bad they where crawling all over the walls and floor when the tenants open there locker do not use this place u will be upset when u have to throw your stuff away due to poor conditions due to pest that u have no control over at all avoid at all cost seek other arrangements

This is the 2nd weekend in a row we have used the self-serve option at this location. The first weekend-cannot check in on the app to retrieve the van. Go to the office and the office has not been trained on self-serve procedures and they cannot help us or get a rental. Literally, wasted well over an hour and got nothing. This weekend we again were told we had to do the self-serve option-same scenario. The office staff was finally able to help us by calling the other Uhaul down the street and have someone walk her through the renting of the van via her office computer. Once again another hour wasted. Finally get the van and climb in only to find that the miles on our electronic print out rental agreement don't match the odometer (and this matters since you charge 80 cents a mile)-so back to the office we go. We do not fault your office staff at all for these issues. She was friendly and helpful but clearly was not trained on the procedure. But the staff clearly needs more training of what to do when your self-service options do not work. We truly wasted more time both weeks messing around with the rental problems then the amount of time we needed to rent the van.

This location is mobile app only. The van that was scheduled to be used, per the contract, was not available. The van that was available had different mileage and fuel level, which made it impossible to check in. The only assistance was to call the 800# and wait extended time, >30-45 minutes and then they had no clue. Thank goodness a human was in the office of whom gave me the key and instructed me to take the van. Multiple attempts were made to reach the posted cell phones of the owner and manager. After 20+ minutes, the owner texted that someone from traffic dept would contact me. Traffic called about 30 minutes later and I was placed on hold another 30 minutes. It was very chaotic, unproductive and a frustrating process. When returning the vehicle, it was pouring rain, once again the mobile app wasn't working and thank goodness the lady that wasn't supposed to be there to check people in or out was there to assist and witness the disaster. My advice…rent from a staffed location as this was a horrible experience. I should have believed the reviews online.

I booked this storage in Jan 2022 online. The confirmation email said I had to pay in person. I did not live near this facility and called to confirm. Upon arriving in May, I was informed that my unit was not available because I didn't not leave a deposit. I was told I could've left the deposit when I called. Why wasn't I informed of that option? I was stuck renting a larger unit for more money. Finding the unit was not easy and there was no one at the actual location to help. I never received an invoice online, but did receive one after my payment was overdue. When we went to empty the unit, there was a lock on it because it was "unpaid" after my husband settled the bill, the only person working stated he couldn't leave the office to remove the lock. I rented this unit to store my daughters dorm stuff and encountered issues from day 1. I cannot imagine the runaround my daughter would've gotten had she been there alone. The unit itself was clean and had more room then we required but I will be looking into another location/ facility when her semester ends. I have used Uhaul services frequently at other locations with no issues but this one was unpleasant and unprofessional from start to finish.

This morning I spoke with the manager of your US1 store in Melbourne, Fl in regards of a pending debit of $137 shown on my PNC bank statement. My account had previously been debited by Uhaul in the amount of 212.00, which I understood. After going back and forth for what seemed like forever - with your manager talking over me while I was attempting to speak - he finally told me that the charge would be erased from my account within a 4 day period. That's all I needed to hear, but what I got was about 10 minutes of pedantic, confrontational nonsense from an individual who clearly was more interested in hearing himself talk than actually LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMER. This was the same guy who on Wednesday was doing everything BUT waiting on customers who were lined up 6 deep waiting to pick up their vehicles. This guy is hopelessly miscast working in a customer focused, service business.

The storage section was under staffed, and their was always a wait. I also had a very bad experience reserving and renting a 26 ft. truck, I contracted corporate office and spoke to a U-Haul employee that wrote up a report and told me that I would be contacted by a supervisor in the corporate office within 72 hours it's been well over 72 hours and I have not received any call back!

We specifically paid more for a climate controlled facility because we had valuable items and due to medical issues we knew the storage would be for an extensive period of time. We were finally able to move our things yesterday which is we discovered mold on just about every single surface. And it wasn't just a little mold, some furniture pieces had to be discarded. We were so disappointed and in utter disbelief that we spent SO much money for climate controlled units whe we could have almost stored everything in someone's garage considering the good it did us.

I used a temperature controlled unit for 1,5 years, always clean, always smelled nice whenever I would visit, never any rodents, they even built a shade awning between units for loading/unloading. Turned in my keys before next bill cycle and was very smooth. No complaints. Nice and simple.

Pickup location was confusing, with 2 locations within a mile of each other. Mobile pickup did not work. I had to wait for someone to come from the other location to let me into the locked area where the vehicle was. The man on the phone was rude and acted like it was my fault that the vehicle was inaccessible.

I had no choice, I was FORCED to use the mobile app and it proved to be horrible horrible horrible! The gal at the front desk should have had the option of checking me in, getting me to the vehicle to use and helping me be on my way. She couldn't help me and frankly she SHOULD have been able to do this, isn't that why I am paying U-Haul? I am the customer and I felt like I was doing ALL of the customer service for myself through this very cumbersome and messy phone app that I had to download on the fly. I had to cycle through many many pages to complete it, including taking pictures of my license and adding a 3rd phone number to move forward. Isn't 2 phone numbers enough? The check-in was just as bad as I was forced to fill out many more pages again, including taking more pictures of all sides of the vehicle, entering the odometer reading and then forced to take a picture of it, and fuel gage to prove it. (You don't believe the number I entered?) Yet again, someone at the front desk should have been doing all of this anyways! And returning the key was impossible as the app told me to use the same code for the key box I used to retrieve the key when I was picking up the vehicle, but I did not have this number any longer! It was given to me through the app when I was picking up the vehicle! I didn't know I needed to memorize this number to return it! So I was forced to return the key to the front desk, where, he told me I should have returned it through the key box. I was not happy about telling him it didn't work. If I need to rent a truck again I will use a service where I will actually receive customer service from someone at the front desk, led out to the vehicle and be handed the key like a regular human being.

I appreciate how practical it was. Just was a little uncomfortable this past week when i saw a shopping cart with someone's goods in it, under the stairwell. And a random men setting in the stairway charging his phone. Made me very uncomfortable and I had to leave soon afterwards. The hallways have no cameras. I felt unsafe.

It would have been a much better experience if it were advertised that UHAUL provides a secure place to leave your car if you need it. I couldn't find that answer anywhere and when I called, I wasn't able to speak to a local agent. The national Uhaul customer service line had no idea and they couldn't pick up a call and ask the local company either. All they could do is send and email and email me back (which they never did get back to me because, I'm assuming nobody responded to their emails. I ended up driving down to ask in person a day ahead because I really needed to know. I actually drove to the 2nd location (about 1/8 mile north of the p/u place I needed to deal with). They told me at that location that there was on site parking; however, they didn't offer to tell me they weren't my location. I found out the next day when I showed up. The two young men at this location (not the one I dealt with were very apathetic and not helpful). The older gentleman at the correct location was great & that's why I give this a good rating - but offering simple important information (like the fact that you can leave your vehicle) is HUGELY helpful when trying to plan something like a UHAUL rental. My storage unit rental and experience was fine while I was a paying customer. I always paid on time (Auto Pay) and never had any issues or reason to contact the office. Move out day: I swept out my unit, took my lock with me, went into the office to turn the unit back in and talked to "Mikey". I didn't have a balance as I was always up to date so he printed my move out receipt and I thought I was done & everything is good (I'm like the perfect tenant)... ohhh no, don't assume you will be done after like I did. I have received many calls from "Mikey" after my move out. A few days after I moved out I got a call from him angrily exclaiming that I left the lock on my unit and he couldn't rent it out to someone else. Hmm that seemed odd to me but I couldn't find my lock as I literally just moved and my belongings were in mostly boxes. I drove over there (30 Minutes each way out of the goodness of my heart) to find out there indeed is lock on my old unit. It was not my lock, my key didn't work and I ended up finding my lock at my house a few days later as I expected. I'm guessing either they rented it out to someone else and didn't keep record or someone is squatting. Neither of those issues are mine to take care of, prove to them, or investigate for them. Mikey wasn't done there after that huge mess up. He keeps calling and harassing me. I don't want to assume and be wrong again, but I have a feeling the office folk are bad at maintaining records. They have 0 reason to contact me. I have formally requested they stop contacting me as it is that bad.

The only issue that the unit I moved in to was really close to the road. It wasn't easy to pull up and unload the 15' truck without either blocking the gate keypad or the road into the facility.

Don't triple charge your next customer and claim they didn't "return locally" when I returned my cargo van 1,5 hours EARLY to the same location I picked it up from and got hit for a $192 fee? Incompetence. I'll never go here again.

I waited for way to long for the staff to tell me that I could go to the other facility to get the keys to our unit. Then when I dropped the truck of I again waited longer then 10 minutes to be told to wait outside I will be right there. It then took another few minutes for the guy to come outside. So long in fact the other guy who was actually moving trucks got to me first.

No long term retention program been there for 10 years. Staff always seems bothered when asking for assistance. Gate changed to card and never noticed and inconvenienced. Then randomly card stoped working. Staff never in office. Finally done and day of moving to another storage that is cheaper the elevator was out on 3/7 and staff offered no assistance and seemed bothered and told me I can always use the stairs. When I went back midday the staff said they can't reach anyone so won't be fixed today. Also I paid for help to move that and was unable to move that day. The staff did call that evening and said elevator was fixed.

I was promised a 7,5×10×10 only unit be offered was smaller than a tiny bathroom. I had a full 26ft truck to get as much in as possible into a unit. So after an hour wait in phone twice actually trying to get in touch with the uhaul who made thre reservation for us they found one in another city. It was a 10×10 which was perfect. The wait unfortunately was over an hour. With that said I lost over 4 hours dealing with that. I wasted 30 miles on the truck rental which cost new another 30 dollars when I returned it today. Then the manager at the returning store wad rude and very agitated. She should not be worrying with any customers directly she was very rude and non professional. That's another issue I will be contacting the President if Uhaul about her and thre entire worst experience I have ever had with Uhual. I rent trucks locally to pick up donations and distribute to families in need and all on my expense to help others. I will rent a truck this wk to deliver donated items from families who help me bless families with free donations. I am very very disappointed with our entire experience.

Lori was simply amazing. Extremely helpful in getting our unit selected, then amazing when we knew we were going to miss office hour by 90 min during our drive to Fla. Mickey was kind and quick on our check out. Only recommendation is that any perspective client be warned the high humidity (due to the ocean) will degrade cardboard boxes even for a short stay in the uncontrolled units.

The General manage, Tony is terrible. My invoice came in the name of the additional driver( I need to be on my name) they said after the contract is closed there was no way to modify it. The only good experience I had was with the customer service; good girl from Arizona, very helpful. That being sad, I will not rent from you guys anymore and do not recommend.

My family has used U_HAUL for several years and never had any issues. This time, upon closing our storage Unit, that was NOT the case. No receipt of closure was provided to our student, we had to call and ask for an emailed receipt. When calling, was placed on hold for 20 minutes and had to call back to get service. When we finally reached someone that would help us, then we found out, we had not been informed of non-prorated early closure. VERY poor customer service and we will not be using this location again!

When booking my reservation online due to COVID-19 there were multiple problems with not only my contract for the day but the people waiting in line before me and the people waiting in line after me. My one way out of town rental was somehow scheduled as an in town rental, same issue with the people in line before me. I was charged an insane amount to correct uHauls mistake. The space that I had reserved for rental ended up being too small which they did swap out for another unit with no problems. I laid a pair of $200 Oakleys on the counter while doing my paper work, and somehow my sunglasses that I've worn everyday for 5 years and never misplaced decided to come up missing. This is Florida, you don't just lose your sunglasses. They are a necessity. Due to the lack of customer service skills from not only my renting office in Fort Lauderdale and given my experience that I had reaching my storage facility and having to return the truck I will be doing a charge back on my credit card. If I had known I was going to be charged almost $800 to move 150 miles I would have used my own truck. Due to "coronavirus" and "social distances" I didn't have a normal "talk to a person about my actual needs" issue. This experience has made me rethink using Uhaul for any future moving or storage needs.

It was 95 degrees out and the first unit C198 had no number on it. Come to find out 10 minutes later it was out of order. Had to go back to office to find a ground unit. There was no ground unit or the size I wanted so had to get a second floor unit plus bigger then I wanted. 2 hours later I on second floor with bigger unit and paying more money. I whole trip with u-haul was messed up. From the hitch being put on to getting the trailer to the storage unit. The only good was the drop off of the trailer.

I ordered a 10x30x10 climate controlled unit verified by email to arrive to find out that unit was not climate controlled and the only other available unit was 10x20x10 so I had to purchase an additional unit which is now going to cost me over a hundred extra dollars a month for 10-months While I wait for my home to be built. I don't have this extra money to be putting out and am extremely disappointed and will have to find some other arrangements at some point to store at least one units worth of stuff

I had a terrible experience at 438 N Harbour. I arrived in time to pick up my van. I had to wait 20 minutes before the clerk bothered to talk with me. He then said than my van was not there, and might arrive an hour later. He directed me to another dealer who had a van and treated me very well. In all the years or renting from U Haul, the 438 appearance was the worst I'd ever had. Not even a phone call to tell me my equipment would not be there.

Ron and Kathy are always patient even when their customer is stressed trying to complete a moving task. I appreciate the step by step explanation of the features of the van I rented. I was also pleasantly surprised how nice and easy the van was to drive. This move has been one of the most horrendous experiences of my life. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, including the rains pored down on me as I was unloading the van! Ron was calm and kind when I called him to explain I was going to get back a few minutes late due to traffic and weather. How nice to do business with people who understand many of us are at our wits end trying to 'get it all done'! Many thanks to both of them.
