Jacob, the young man who checked the van out to us was outstanding. Very personable, friendly and informative. The manager, I believe his name is Matt, is very professional and very helpful. We rented a cargo van three times from UHaul in December/January. All rentals went fairly well, this last rental experience was the best of all thanks to Jacob and Matt.

Honestly, this location is everything the phrase “it's fine” stands for. The service is fine i guess, be prepared to wait no matter how busy, the location is fine- just don't get your hopes up about parking. Having to schedule 24 hrs in advance to accessing a unit you pay for is ridiculous, and then leaving it in a crowded and hardly accessible location is ridiculous. I didn't want to rip my hair out being there but I wouldnt recommend using them to anyone.

How can I be sure that you are maintaining your equipment to the minimal legal standard when none of your employees can follow the mask order and wear a mask? Social distancing? That doesn't exist at the Moscow store. Please, explain to me how I can be sure that the employees who don't wear masks in the truck I am about to rent aren't spreading covid to me when I get in the truck right after them. The thin plexiglass hanging from the ceiling does not protect me from your anti mask employees when they are on the same side of the plexiglass as me. Gross. I will not be renting from you again.

Too expensive. $19 sounds like a great deal until the customer is charged with ridiculous amounts of fees and pays over $60 for using less than 20 miles. That's a $40 difference and if you're going to market such a low price, then you should keep your rates low.

These guys helped me out at the last minute when the original location completely messed up my rental and left me in a bad situation. I was disappointed that no one wore a mask especially when it is a mandate in the city. Otherwise they were extremely helpful.

Borderline harassing and threatening me with fees. A move is a stressful time for all parties, and it's not like I was keeping the truck because it made my driveway look nice. These people need to take a step back and chill. Will definitely not be recommending uhaul to anyone in the area.

The staff were very friendly. However, I was incredibly frustrated with them calling me, less than 48 hours in advance, to tell me the equipment I requested was “no longer available”. I had put a reservation in weeks in advance and was notified they would have to change my equipment last minute. They also scheduled me to pick up my equipment in two separate locations, making it so I had to find someone to assist me in transporting my vehicle with less than two days notice. When I arrived to pick up my updated equipment, I saw that they had 4 trucks available in the size I had requested. I felt this was incredibly disrespectful and inconsiderate of my time, money, and my putting in a request for specific equipment well in advance. I don't believe I will ever utilize Uhaul services in the future as I fear my equipment will be sold out from under me, as done in this situation, and I cannot rely on this company to follow through or provide reimbursement for the inconvenience I was caused.

The problem was not with the location, but with U-Haul's online, contact-free pickup. When I went to get the van, I had to fill out some info online that included two "emergency" contacts. I assumed that these people would be contacted if I was in an accident or disappeared or something, so I gave the info for my wife and my son. Both of them were contacted immediately, before I was given access to the van. This rather destroyed my attempt to keep secret the fact that I was renting a van to pick up a large (surprise) holiday gift. The online forms should make it clear that the people whose numbers are given will be contacted immediately. I've never had this occur with another car or truck rental, and I will not be using U-Haul again for this reason. Luckily, there are a number of other agencies near me that rent vans and trucks.

Excellent customer service, I was given information that helped me realize exactly what I wanted and needed for my belongings. I just came in for boxes due to a bad storage somewhere else and foundout Uhaul had exactly the secure, clean storage units I needed! Great facility and storage units I really appreciate the staffs suggestions and help! The lady was very helpful, informative, friendly and knowledgable. Uhaul is an excellent company!

When I dropped off the trailer, the guy assisting said "go ahead and take it off". I didn't mind but was mildly shocked as the guy who put it on did all the work. I was very concerned that I didn't have to sign for anything and he just said "ok you are done" because how do I see proof that I dropped it off?

Not only did I wait almost 30-45 minutes to be helped or spoken to while many just stood around outside. I then finally got some help after getting put off and even then I felt like I was not a priority to them. We finally get to my reservation only to have the manager come out with us and didn't even know how to hook up the auto trailer correctly. It not only took about 25 minutes just for him to not figure it out. So my roommate and I ended up telling him how to do it and then he goes ahead and forgets to secure the actual trailer to the hitch so we almost drove off this Moscow location lot with an unsecured trailer. Luckily we are familiar with towing trailers so we know to always double check that it's hitched down securely but for a family that doesn't have any experience this could have been a very scary situation. After this we went in to tell the manager guy that this was highly unexceptable to not even properly secure us before departing and he just shrugged us off like nothing was wrong. This experience was terrible and glad I will never have to go back! I'm almost offended to get charged for this but will make sure to let people know to avoid this location. I will also make sure to leave a review on Yelp as well so I can caution people about this horrible experience because I have truly never had an experience with the Moscow location like I did yesterday November 1st.

No one was using mask inside the store or when they came out to hand the key and doing the inspection. They came close enough to violate personal separation distance without a mask. There are over a feet gap in plexy glasses and they keep talking through that gap without mask with customers. As a national brand, Uhaul should implement mandatory mask for its employees. Uhaul is setting bad practices during a ramping pandemic and potentially spreading the disease to its customers.

When I checked in my estimated mileage was 130 miles and I was quoted for that with the best savings, but the safe trip fee was put in and I declined that on the website. As it turned out I used the van a lot less than needed, and I asked the young lady to adjust to 89 miles. She was rude and didn't even try to understand. The way I see it is, that U-haul's service has really gone down, and your marketing strategy to try and tack on fees, items, and not to adjust mileage to the customer's benefit is all apart of a profit goal and not business sustainablity goal. U-haul owes me $13.69. I will be posting more reviews to your declining ratings.

Online, I reserved a 10x15 storage unit and received a confirmation notice for that specific size. The website noted that there was one 10x15 unit available and that is what I reserved (two days prior to rental). When I arrived at the UHaul facility in Moscow with a UHaul truck full of my household furnishings and after driving 300 miles that day (Boise to Moscow), the UHaul attendant informed that there were no units that size available in spite of my reservation. I asked what options existed and she told me I could either rent a 5x10 unit or go find another storage facility. I reiterated that I had a confirmation for the 10x15 unit and again asked what options existed as one 5x10 unit would not be sufficient. She repeated the same two options and offered no other solution. After letting her know that the 5x10 was 1/3 the size of a 10x15 and that it would not be large enough, I asked if there were possibly two 5x10 units available. She replied that there were but that they were not located close together. I asked if would be possible to rent both of the 5x10 units at the same price as the 10x15 since there is an inordinate price differential based on square footage. For example, the cost of a 10x15 unit is approximately $1 per square foot per month. The cost of a 5x10 unit is approximately $2 per square foot per month. She advised that she would request the modified cost for the units but that it could not be confirmed until Monday, June 15. I also said that I would need another lock, which she provided at no cost (which was very kind of her). I would like to say that she seemed hesitant about her ability to handle this situation and it was apparently hard for her to have to tell a customer that the unit that was confirmed was not available - a situation she should not have been put in by the company. Knowing that she was not responsible for UHaul's lack of integrity in honoring a confirmed reservation, I thanked her for her help. She was very pleasant but did not seem to be able to think of helpful solutions until prompted with ideas that I generated. I would like to thank her for helping me and I feel bad that she was put in that situation by her employer, but I would have also liked for the solutions to have been presented by the company making the error. Since the final rental cost will not be approved until Monday, June 15, I would also like to request that the two 5x10 units that I ended up renting be charged at the monthly rate of $1 per square foot (equivalent to the cost of the 10x15 unit) which would be approximately $100 per month, rather than the rate of the 10x15 unit, since I am only getting 100 square feet of storage space instead of 150 square feet. Please let me know if this reduced monthly rate will be honored due to the error made by UHaul. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request. I arrived at the U-haul in Moscow Idaho in the cold of winter. Contrasted by the rigors of the harsh weather and misery of moving where helpful U-haul attendants. Sure there are always those in line ahead of you with a rant about this or that, but these people are the real deal. They treated me very fair, courteous and even when I was a bit short - went the extra mile! I thought to bring them a little something to show my appreciation, but the COVID19 has got me thinking otherwise. The least I can do is leave a stellar review to showcase how nice these folks are to do business with. Thanks for a pleasant move in the worst of conditions. Moscow U-haul is #1.

No space to enter storage facility, bad parking, stuff left all thought the parking lot with little to no space for cars to drive though. Staff is kind but unhelpful.
