I arrived a few minutes after closing, but there were a half dozen employees running around me. None of them offered to help return the truck or even indicate that I needed to do it myself. I sat there for several minutes trying to figure out if they were going to help me or not. A simple "I'm sorry, we are closing for the night, you'll have to do the self return as indicated on the sign." would have been perfectly fine. Horrible service upon return. I was informed of the gas fee upon return, not on pickup. I mentioned that I was not told about it and the guy checking me in muttered a number of things under his breath. I asked him to please speak up and he said â€œYou should probably read your contract next time. It's right there.â€ I will never again use U-Haul. Several problems. 1. Unable to complete pre rental checkin past mileage estimator. Locations cannot be blank error. 2. Reserved a furniture dolly at time of rental. None available. Clerk attitude was basically a shrug. Offer of appliance dolly to move long bookcase was ridiculous. The clerks clearly didn't care at all the inconvenience I was going to have to go to to get a dolly elsewhere with a schedule to keep. 3. Phone app checkout process not explained well I had to ask for help. 4 tried calling before arriving to confirm all was in place (like the dolly) and it was all voice activated menu without an option to speak to a CV live person. 5. I had a great experience with this U-Haul location. Everything was always clean and bright. The staff were friendly and helpful, including the Manager Matt Sun who helped me through a number if situations I had by being flexible and willing to work with me. Bearing in mind that U-Haul is generally a pain in the ass, their procedures are constantly changing and not usually in the direction of making things simpler and easier for customers - I would say that both the reservation process (in-person) and the pick up process went very well. Both were quick and straight forward (for once), even though the location was busy at pick up time.Michael S.

This is less about the location specifically, but when we booked initially we chose a different location. We were then informed after booking that the van had been rented to another customer. Now this isn't the end of the world but this happened to us last time as well. Doesn't make you feel very valued and it is pretty frustrating to have our moving plans dictated by u-haul. If we reserve a van, it shouldn't be able to be overridden by another customer.Andrew S.

I had no parking lots, and had to park a long the high way. Representatives were not nice at all for most of the locations I rent a trucks. I went through a long process, filled in the long forms, took 15 minutes, to reserve a truck, but then when I came to pick up the truck, I had to do the same thing again. The business model for this place makes the federal government seem like a small operation. I reserved a trailer on line. I was 30 minutes late picking up the trailer. I received a voice mail message stating that unless I arrived in 15 minutes, my order would be cancelled. I called the office as soon as the message was left. It took 15 minutes to get through the menu to be able to talk with someone. I had to listen about renting storage spaces, purchasing moving supplies and on and on. The person I finally reached gave me another 15 minutes to pick up the trailer. Upon arrival, there were more than 5 identical trailers on the lot. Really? It was not as if someone else wanted my trailer. I will never use this location again.PAUL A.

Always slow checkout. Never enough people at the register. My truck wasn't listed in the database since it is a medium duty vehicle (Isuzu NPR) it was hard for the employee to figure out what to do.PAUL L.
I do not like how you advertise a daily rate without listing the additional rate of extra charges. Yes I can rent a truck for two days at only 40 bucks a day, but you forget to add that a you pay per mile a buck. Which if you make multiple trips like twenty miles will add an extra 100 bucks to the bill. Don't forget the trip fees the dolly fees taxes and extras. Why not just pay movers to pack your shot for you, haul it and unpack it.... It's cheaper. Think of the savings. No you guys do not include anything and Nicole and find poor people. I also ended up handing over a hundred extra bucks I didn't have to spare on my low income household so I had to borrow cash. You idiots have a good still on my bank account and haven't corrected the amount which was adjusted for the borrower cash. No I will never recommend uhaul Ever...Kelly C.

I had originally reserved a one-way truck 15 ft. The first place said they didn't have one available due to the hatch being broken so they sent me up the road 5 miles to another location. The second place didn't have a one-way truck either. I asked if I could get a discount if I brought the truck back which the manager agreed to. While this was okay, the inside of the truck was pretty dirty and I had to take a 20 ft. truck after requesting a 10 footer. Not sure why this wasn't possible when there were plenty of 10ft trucks there in the lot. Overall, it was chaotic and cost me more money since i had to to pay for gas to return the truck (70 miles one way). It also created a very long day which could have been avoided if I didn't have to return the truck and drive back.Vincent E.

The ONLINE pickup and after hours drop off process is very cumbersome and hard to use. It is confusing and often not clear how you are supposed to fill out the form. And takes WAY too long. The online process needs to be shortened, and uncluttered for quicker easier use. Its doable, just not quick. Especially after a long haul, or busy day moving. I liked how easy it was to rent a unit online, but the instructions as to how to get in weren't very clear and the place smelled like urine and some other chemical. I couldn't leave my stuff there for fear of that stuff getting into my things, especially the smell.Michelle V. | Online Move In

I booked a large storage space online and confirmed it with the Uhall corporate office. However, when I arrived at the facility, They not only did not have my reservation, they didn't even have any large storage spaces available. The counter rep was rude and did not offer any help. As a result, I was forced to get a small space to unload my current truck, but was unable to continue my move. I was then forced to get a space as Public Storage, and in effect had to have two storage facilities for 2 months. Terrible coordination with the Uhall corporate reservation system and poor customer service. We drove in a Uhaul truck for 9 hours for this move. As time was getting tight, we called the office to understand how we could get into our unit If we arrived after hours. We were told that they couldn't help us and that we needed to go online. We skipped all other stops and arrived at 4:57 - three minutes before the office closed. As I walked in the office manager told one Employees to lock the door before anyone else came in. Then he proceeded to tell me that he could not help me and that I needed so go online. I stood in front of the man and stumbled through the online experience. I received my access code and went outdoors to the keypad. The code did not work. I went back to the office and knocked on the door. I told the manager that the code wasn't working. He told me that there was nothing he could do and that rather than using my security code, I could just wait until one of the others moving in opened the door. He said that without the security code at the front door, and alarm would go off when I opened our unit, but to just ignore that - it would go off in 10 seconds. The only person at this location who helped was Jade. After the day manager left, she came out and helped us with the security code and gave us their cell number for text questions. I have security concerns about this location. Your office manager is a very poor representation of the company. He is a deterrent and I would warn people to use one of the many other storage options in the area.Leah S. | Online Move In

We were helped by a manager at the facility. He was very helpful but we ran into problems with a unit that was locked that shouldn't be. He said he would give us a month free because of the Hassle. But at the end of our visit I realized that he didn't know what he was doing ( not to mention also on prescription drugs because of a surgery and at work...). He could not finish our transition that day for some reason and said that I would get a call the next day to finish the transaction and it will be all set. I never got a call. I have a busy schedule so this is not something that is top of my priority. He said he would get it fixed for me and yet he never did. A week passed and I didn't get a call so when I had time I would call into the store but no one would ever pick up. My boyfriend tried calling as well and would be sent to an external number. We then received late fee because we didn't pay our bill but that wasn't our fault. The only reason we got this issue solved was because we drove all the way back to the uhaul store and talked with the guy who was supposed to fix this issue weeks ago! This was the worst customer service I have ever experience. First off, your employees should not be working if they are on medication and supposed to be home recovering. He probably messed this whole situation up because he wasn't thinking straight. This has been a very poor experience. I am upset that I could not even get ahold of a single employee who works at this location on the phone, I had to drive all the way back when I was told I wouldn't have to and it would be worked out. I am very very disappointed and do not see myself recommending this location to anyone I know. The only place to access a ramp is always blocked by signs and advertising trailer making it near to impossible to back a trailer in. The storage and return vehicles constantly blocks access to ramps especially low ramps convenient for trailers.the back entrance is always blocked by a truck preventing you from coming in from the other side which would make it somewhat easier to back trailer in. When you do get backed in return trucks constantly block your egress and it is difficult to get an employee to move them. When a load was getting away from me on a truck an employee refused to help and let my load fall over then refused to give be me a hand righting it. Another person at the loading dock actually helped me. Staff was constenty dismissive and slow. There is not enough staff for work load. A couple times homeless in facility asking for access to the bathroom. Having to earn the trust over the first several months, as stated by the friendly staff, to gain the "priviledge" of 24hr access (as advertised, ironically) was a testament of the #U-Haul corporations lack of belief in the herd values of the community. I'm a swing shift employee and found it rather irritating that, due to #U-Haul and their view of this community, I have to earn 24hr access, on an unknown scale of trust. The rates are... OK at best.
