Improvement suggestion: have the equipment I reserved available. Suggesting two trips in a smaller truck doesn't really work. I calculate my extra cost of movers time to load/unload a small truck was about 400$. Free mileage I couldn't use and no discount didn't make it right.SCOTT N.

They randomly charged me $50 for a â€œcleaning feeâ€ when I returned the truck in the same condition that I received it in. When I called to ask about it I was accused of smoking in the truck which I did not. Clearly a scam to meet certain quotas by the manager of this location.Rob S.
I did an online check-in, and the truck I was originally assigned was blocked in by another truck so I couldn't access it. The staff was able to assist me with switching to a different truck though, and were helpful through the process.Marcus J.

Dropping off and picking up was the best experience I've had with Uhaul. the workers there deserve so much extra credit for going above and beyond to make sure we are well served, even when the place was super busy. I would recommend this location above all else I've visited.BENJAMIN R.
Where do I start…. I reserved a 6x12 trailer at this location, including having a storage unit. Well I got a phone call from someone at the location saying they didn't want to give me the trailer they did have on lot however if I wanted to go to another location 30 minutes away they have one for me. Due to not wanting to deal with not having the trailer I reluctantly took the option available. They didn't tell me it was just a dealer at some tiny little market in the middle of nowhere. Which was massively inconvenient for me in every way possible. Then, a few days later I get a call to confirm the storage and size I needed, with being told it would be available for me and I was very clear about the days possibly moving. I was told it wasn't an issue. However, it became an issue. My reservation was canceled and the size unit I needed became unavailable. Which the manager told me, "making a reservation doesn't guarantee availability." Then why on earth was I called and confirmed for unit and size?!?! Why was I told it would be available?! This isn't even everything that happened regarding U-Haul. This is just the one location. The dealer even messed up in allowing me to tow a trailer without having the cables to connect the lights. Which I would love to get reimbursed for. Doesn't include the previous U-Haul location accusing me of stealing equipment that didn't belong to them, as well as not giving refunds promised. I was told by customer service that someone would contact me in up to 3 days and it's now been over 5. I was within TWO HOURS of the move when I received a call from UHaul saying that the truck was unavailable at the Everett site, and i would be required to pick up the truck at the Lynnwood site insread. This is unacceptable, as I had confirmed it previously. Needless to say, it cost me more time and money than I wanted to pay My move crew were paid for almost an hour to WAIT while I stood in line and waited to get the 20 foot truck instead of my 17 footer I had ordered. The 20 foot truck was clean however the freight box had a roof leak and accumulated rainwater on the surface of "Grandma's Attic" during the move , which entered one of our boxes containing an expemsive computer monitor. Not happy about that. Also, the U-Haul servers were extremely slow which created a long wait time to check the vehicle out. The Staff was very friendly and did their best however I was concerned that the office staff was not following covid protocol by NOT wearing masks. I would suggest that U Haul provide the Customer the approximate miles per gallon of fuel used by the vehicle so the refueling prior to bringing the vehicle back for Check In is not a guessing game to match the fuel level to Check Out level.. I appreciated all the moving supplies that were available in the store for purchase.MICHAEL M.
Lights on the trailer required replacement for the interior and a safety sidelight. Building a covered area to hitch and unhitch would make for a more comfortable operation.PAUL F.

Owner indicated my assigned trailer was out on my call the night before pick up. Promise to return. It was there when I arrived the next morning at 7am. The facilitry was nice, the truck ran good and was clean but I had a terrible customer service experience. When I returned the truck I pulled into the drop off area, following the signage and arrows on the pavement. I pulled the truck directly behind another truck being dropped off. As I was about to put the truck in park an employee began to yell at me to move the truck down the other one way all the way to the end of the parking lot. He was very aggressive in his tone and I did not like it. So I put the truck in park and did not move. Immediately after doing this the owner of the U-Haul location came around to the passenger side of the truck and start banging on the truck to get me to move it. He was hitting the truck with his fist to get my attention. He then came up to the driverside window, blocked me from getting out of the vehicle and told me I need to move the truck now. He was an asshole about it and the banging on the truck made me worry for my safety. I was not sure if this guy was going to hit me or what he was going to do. I shut the engine off and did not roll down the window for him. I then asked him to politely move so I can exit the vehicle, he hesitated at first. I asked for his name and he said I am the owner and I am not going to check you out. I opened the door, pushing him with it to get out of the way, handed him the keys and said you can move the truck yourself. He was pissed and said I will not check you out again. I said you are being a DICK, I am a customer dropping the truck off and no person should ever be treated they way you just did to me and I walked away. I am not sure if I have been checked out yet. Gas cap was broken and struggled to open at station. I rented the longest truck and itvhad an extremely short ramp for a 30+ degree incline. Made moving miserable. Headlights were so dim that I could barely see at night. Battery died after first stop and I had to be jumped. Significant damage to vehicle at pickup beyond documented photos so I spent a lot of time recording damage before driving off lot.MARK H.

I understand these vehicles are older and a lot of people use them, so I don't expect them to be pristine. However, the driver's side door was really hard to lock. Had I not checked it, I would have left the vehicle unlocked. That should definitely be fixed. Otherwise, the vehicle worked just fine.Melissa G.
I was told that if I used the dolly and broke the seal on my uhaul that I would be charged. However the tie broke off on it's own because there was a missing bolt to secure it properly but I have no way to prove it. I also was told to being the uhaul back with the same amount of gas as I received it, 1/4 tank, but when I checked in the person said it had down I was to have it filled luckily I had my paperwork to show where the person who had checked out my uhaul had indicated I needed to fill it up to so I wasn't charged.Rachel H.

I've rented many many times with UHaul. The overall instructions from the UHaul representative did not cover the web page errors I received. Consequently, by the time I needed to turn in the equipment after hours...I never received the procedure to properly turn in the keys. No one was available after hours to walk me through. I thought about preserving and protecting the truck by locking the keys inside so that in the morning, the staff can use a spare key and access the cab. I was charged 100 dollars for a 'locksmith' which in my mind is egregious since any self respecting location would have a spare and open the truck. The lack of communication from UHaul; not my performance of due diligence is sorely lacking and needs better continuity. Make no assumptions that a repeat customer knows all the procedures to returning equipment. Also, don't LOOK for ways to charge more when it is reasonable to give the benefit of the doubt that the customer was actually trying to protect UHAUL equipment when going on no information. The next time I have to use UHAUL, I will have serious reservations about using this service.MATHEW R.
