Final bill was far over initial bid on the per mile charge. Also, truck's gas was completely empty on pickup! Not nice to find w a 30 foot truck.

The app was down when I needed to pick up the uhaul, the employees inside at the location told me they couldn't help me and I was out of luck. I sat on the phone with customer service for 45 minutes with no luck. The uhaul I was suppose to pick up was parked between 2 other trucks, impossible to move without the help of the employee moving a different van. Customer service was awful, I will never use this location again.

I waited over 30 minutes in line. Reps did not show me to my truck or perform a walk-around. The passenger side mirror was busted and I would not use it for safety. The dolly that I ordered was not available. Upon my return, I was charged 14,38 for gasoline even though I only used the truck for 3 miles! I called UHaul to get this charge removed and waited on hold for 41 minutes. The charge was removed but it was an all around unsavory experience.

This might not be feasible, but having somewhere to sit while waiting, either for service, a rental to be ready, or a ride to somewhere after dropping off a rental. Nothing fancy, just a few chairs or a bench in the front window.

The staff was friendly and professional. Our vehicle (Van) had the 'need engine maintenance' light go on and it interfered with reading the mileage. We had to toggle a button to see that. Our choice to continue was based on it seemed to be running ok. There wasn't any extra dirt around more than you would expect for a hauling van.

explain to the customers the fees that apply if certain conditions arent met. reps are busy talking about over charging customers on their cards instead of thoroughly explaining on what charges are going to be applied for current renters.

Don on the customer help line around midnight when I dropped it off was amazing. She was super patient and helpful. Easily the best part of the transaction. I got charged for fuel fees even though I filled it past when I got it. But all the 1 stars say that so I should've expected that.

The staff at Shoreline was fantastic. The GM helped out tremendously by rewiring the trailer wire harness on my 4runner that was all banged up. Saved me that day to be able tow the u-box.

Terrible employees. Argumentative about the fact they didn't know how to do there job. This is Coming from a previous U-Haul employee. I Highly suggest re hiring and re evaluating the employees there. They don't care about their job at all.

This experience was really terrible overall. First, the uhaul system was down at the time of check-in so I waited 45m in line to get the truck, then it turns out the catalytic converter was stoled from the truck the night before but went out anyway which resulted in an extremely loud 3 hour drive. My ears were ringing for the whole following day. I'd like to explore being credited back for how bad this experience was.

While I am glad I was refunded, I was told that I drove 10 times as many miles as I really did (100 versus less than 10). Manager did not seem friendly - it's like I was a nuisance rather than a customer (even at first meeting of picking up truck).

poor maintenance protocols apparently. I only drove the truck for 6 miles (short move) and the battery died after I was filling the gas tank to return it. That led to waiting around for 2 hours to get assistance and a general waste of my day. All they had to do was check the battery on a regular basis (the mechanic said it was in poor shape)

What I picked up my shall they said there was a fourth of a tank gas but the truck is actually a t e they charged me for a fourth of a tank no matter what I said they need to read the gas tank better

The trailer had bent eyes/holes on the drop down lid making it hard to slide the chain thru in the drivers side. Also there was no attachment hardware on the bottom side of the chains that keep the lid from dropping all the way down

The self check-in application needs work. It didn't work for me and others who had to wait in line. I know some vehicles were not available yet which explains them not working but I saw the van I ended up renting parked in the lot. The lady at the check-in was really nice and professional so it ended up being all good anyway.

The person helping me both times went above and beyond. The system was bugging and telling her to charge me again but she called a manager and spent time to work out the issue so I wouldn't have to pay again, get refunded, and have a worse experience. When I brought back the rental bins she was friendly and efficient. I visited the location on Saturday 4/2 in the afternoon and Saturday 4/16 around 10am and she was there both times.

Because you don't pay your employees enough, there wasn't enough staff to help everyone. I stood in line for almost an hour waiting to pick up the truck I had reserved. Once I was finally through the line the staff were efficient and professional, but you need to raise wages and staff properly.

Stop forcing the customer to fill gas tanks beyond the mileage used and recorded. I was charged $15 for gas at the gas pump for a recorded six mile ride to fill the tank as instructed, and I was told that the gas tank was full when it was given to me. So I was paying for somebody else's gas for this company. The woman I talked to got very aggressive and said 'Sir - Too bad and so sad!' after she said she 'would handle this' to the other clerk as if I am sort sort of criminal, when the proof is there to see that I am being charged for much more gas than I used . I also had to wait 15 minutes in the lobby before anyone came out to help me when I first came into the store to rent a truck. Some guy came out to shuffle boxes and that was it. Not a good experience. I'm thinking of calling local TV, because my feeling was I was being cheated, and it concerns me that she said she would 'handle this' like its a regular complaint. I was pissed and air turned blue I must say. This sounds like a Scam!

The truck was probably the most worn uhaul I've used. The window roller was broken, the side mirror wasn't adjustable, the lift gate and latches were incredibly stiff, the key wouldn't turn on the ignition unless making multiple attempts and worst of all the odometer was busted causing my trip to appear longer by nearly 10 miles and costing me more money.

The site constantly opens later than the posted time. For people who have cleaners, packers etc. scheduled this is not a good thing. The GM is friendly and helpful so that is good.

The online experience to check in is very frustrating with the additional requirements to provide a passport or employment verification. In person, none of that is required so not sure why it is required online. Spent 25 minutes in line to get truck which could have been better with an streamlined online experience. STaff were great, vehicle was great and return process was easy.
