your staff can talk to each other better. no one seem to know anything when I called to set up my move. took money out of the wrong account after I had called and set up the right information. I was accused of lying and corporate put blame on me for their mistake. Gave me the run around as I was transferred to 8 different people to find I needed to call the site I started with. by that time nothing could be done. took rental money for pod out of 2 different accounts and never reimbursed payment. Fill the gas to full before we rent the equipment. We as customers should not have to guesstimate how much gas to fill. Every customer overfills the gas when returning and your company makes a profit off of it. It's not right and you guys know it. That's technically a racket.GRAEME J.

I pulled into the return area with truck, following the sign says stay with vehicle and someone will come out and check me in. I waited 15min then decided to unload my vehicle. I went into the office and everyone was just standing around. It took another 30min before they completed the check in- most of that time was spent trying to park the vehicle transport in there lot. This location corrected several issues for us. Designated reservation site was a no go. The guy never showed up to even open the place. Waited for over an hour and then U-Haul redirected us to this location. They took care of us asap. Then we were directed to return truck to Tacoma (out of our way) and they apparently closed at 4pm with no after hours drop. Had to drive truck all the way back to Renton but again these guys cleaned up the mess. I wouldn't go anywhere else but this location after what we went through.WILLIAM S.

It was perfect. The check in guy was fast and friendly. When I dropped off the guy was there as I stepped out of the truck. Apparently I did not get entered into the system right away. I did get a call the next day looking for the truck but I got emailed a receipt before I could call back.DAVID D.

The scheduling of loading the U-box at the Renton location was terrible. I made an appointment to load the U-box. When I arrived on time I was told there was nothing on their schedule and no one was licensed to operate the fork lift. Had to make another appointment. When the employee tried to make an appointment he could not get it entered on the computer. He phoned the manager several times and left messages. It was over an hour before the manager called back. They never got the appointment scheduled on the computer. I was told they would have the U-box ready for me to load the next morning. When I arrived the next morning the U-box was not ready to be loaded. I was told to go out in the lot where the guy who is licensed to run the fork lift was working and ask him to get the U-box. It took over 30 minutes before the U-box was pulled out for me to load. At the Daytona Beach location I made an appointment to pick up the U-box for 9:00am. I called the day before to confirm and was told the appointment was 'all set for 9am. When the movers arrived at 9am they were told to come back at noon. When they asked to speak to the manager they got the run around and eventually were told the manager was not available. They left and had to come back at noon. On a positive note the U-box arrived in Daytona Beach when they said it would with no damage to the contents.Patrick M.
This was the 2nd U-Haul location I visited to rent a trailer. The first one I visited was the one in Renton Highlands. They didn't have any trailers available to rent. There was one lady at the front desk that had an attitude and seemed unwilling to be helpful. Then I went to this location (the one on Rainier ave). These guys were so friendly and super helpful. They genuinely wanted to help and I can't say how great of an experience I had here. I'm so glad I went to the Rainier ave location. I will never go back to the one in Renton Highlands even through that one is just down the street from my house. Amazing what the difference was. Night and day.NED K.

The manager John (?) Was very polite and helpful. 5 stars. However, the card swipe machine was not working so the employee entered in the information himself asking me the questions. I declined all insurance coverage but was charged $14 for Safe Move. I did not notice until my emailed invoice and called and said I declined all coverage and was told I could not receive a refund since it was after the fact. I understand I should have read the contract but I expect to get the order that was told to the employee. From now on I will read the contract before leaving and will advise everyone on social media to do so as well so they don't get charged for something they did not ask for.BRIAN O.

The only issue we had was driving in the lot where we picked up the trailer. It was quite crowded and congested. We were new at towing a trailer so we'd have been more comfortable with a little more room/organization pulling the trailer thru the lot and on to the street. However, I'd give them 4 1/2 stars if I could. The owner was very helpful.Eric N.

the guy works there kept talking to me when i told him that im deaf. he wasnt willing to accommodate and i had to find a way to accommodate him. he told me to move the auto transporter to the other side. had a hard time moving it there when the parking lot is full. he wasn't helping at all.Ian G.

Well run facility. One issue was no cap on fuel tank. It was not noticed until we stopped for fuel, which explains the terrible fuel economy. Reported it to shop. It cost us at a minimum, $30 in list fuelBENJAMIN H.

Very disjointed and unreliable. Every time I called there was a different story. One person said I could the box delivered to me, another that I could not. I ended up delivering the Ubox myself by using the trailer option. The Uhaul Storage location in Renton, WA was a complete nightmare. Super unfriendly, not customer focused in any way, and manager was outright abuse to customers and coworkers. He demanded that I back the trailer into a very narrow parking spot upon returning it, and first refusing to take it without a reservation, and backing the trailer at an angle into a narrow parking spot is not easy. I ended up hitting the bumper of one of the employee's cars and thus an insurance claim. it was all just a nightmare. I am glad it is over and will never do this again or recommend to anyone.BENGT J.

Associate accused me of stealing furniture pads I was never given then wanted to charge me a gas fee when I returned the truck with more gas than when I left. Felt like a scam, like they do this to everyone to see who just pays without fighting. Will never rent from this U-Haul again.JEFFREY D.

My reservation was for 7. Several customers got sick of waiting and left. The employee opening the store this day did not arrive at work until 7:30. A second employee arrived at 8am. I did not have my rental until 8:15, and was unable to get checked out and off the lot until 8:30. The employee opening the store this day was busy and frantic, because he got started late. He swore and was unprofessional as he spoke to himself with frustration. Also, he was not wearing a mask, which in these times is against the law. When I dropped the truck off a few hours later, the line was out the door. The was maybe 20 people in line. Lucky for me, I did an online drop off. If I would have had to wait, I would have been even more pissed off. I am not one to write bad reviews. Actually, I think leaving reviews like this is wrong. But, in this case, something needs to be done. This is the second time I have used this location in the last 2 years. Both experiences were similar. I will never visit this store again.KEVIN H.
Randall was helpful. The place was busy, but he took time to assist me since this was my first time renting. I had concerns with the gas tank, truck conditions outside of the online choices (inside roof), etc. I also returned the truck by closing time and he and his crew were still there to point me through the online return process.MICHAEL-LYNDON M.
My phone in reservation collided with a customer who registered online and confirmed. We were competing for the same size truck. Both of us registered at the same time 24 hrs before.... I had to negotiate a swoop for changing trucks or I would have lost my reservation.Why do online registration trump my phone in registration..You need to fit your system and corresponding software logic links.BRYAN K.
Total nightmare on renting truck. This location was OK, but not the location we rented from. West Seattle on 35th ave. Horrible service - NO TRUCK - even though we had a confirmed reservation. I'm a regular at this store and the staff are great. The location is great but corporate office is terrible. You need to ENSURE customers can FULLY check in online with drivers license etc so they can show up, get their equipment and go, without waiting in line unnecessarily. This should be done to avoid using staff time unnecessarily and not waste customer's time. Otherwise, what is the point of saying you can â€œcheck in onlineâ€ when it's actually untrue because you have to wait in line anyway. Regards ColbyCOLBY S.
