I am very disappointed that I had reserved a larger unit to include the Climate Controlled environment, which is more expensive! Website states the storage unit will maintain 65-85 degrees all year, while moving in to Unit A14, we have noticed it is very cold inside and our belongings are not being kept warm. This needs to be be corrected ASAP to ensure our belongings such as TVs and electronics are kept in proper condition. Thanks.
Great place to store my RV. Always very helpful staff at the facility if I ever needed anything. Will come again when I purchase another RV.
The Manager Stephanie and the Assistant Manager LeAnn have been wonderful to work with. Over the past few years we have rented trucks, trailers, equipment and rental space. They have always been very professional and service oriented.
Very clean storage units and friendly staff. Highly recommend climate controlled storage units. Decent boxes but weak on the handles.

Self check in didn't work even though I had the share my location on. Frustrating trying to return sitting in parking lot for nearly an hour and not getting the self check in portion to work.

The young man was very present getting me signed in. He has a good attitude & very helpful getting you situated. First return visit proved to be as well. He came to my rescue when I had trouble trying to open my locker. This young man is a "Keeper" 😊 Thank you for a pleasant experience, WAY better than American Storage.
The trailer leaked my cargo got wet, it was not what I expected as top rated moving equipment.
I tried to complete online check in, but the website wouldn't work. I then went into the store to pick up the truck, and the associate was able to help me. I was just annoyed because I wouldn't have booked online had I known I would have to do the entire process over again. The truck was clean, but had steering issues (I told them upon return of the equipment).
Can not think of anything.

I was waiting 5 minutes on the signal that say "Stop and stay on your vehicle until be attended" I had to go inside and requested the personnel for drop off service.

Awful staff and can never ever reach anyone in the office. Rude and no customer service at all.
The gate at the facility I used was almost always open when I was there.
I thought the check in process was obsurd. Asking for an addtional contact name and number and then having to show my contact list on my phone shows that Uhaul does not care about loyalty and is a company that does not trust their customers. Moving forward if I do rent from Uhaul, it will be from an indepedent dealer.

staff at location check in was great, truck was tired, added a quart of oil when check engine light came on, radio / speakers were awful, popping, cracking, blankets I rented smelled awful!

Easy and simple! You need that during the stressful time when you're moving.
The only issue I ever had, which was multiple times, was trying to talk to someone directly at the office location instead of a central call center.
You can't do shit after sitting on hold for fucking 20 minutes with the Rochester Hills store
I rented equipment and not get it! Had to go with out because it was not on the truck!

Got a call the day before moving out indicating the truck location we rented from did not have a truck available. So, we had to drive out of our way to get a truck at this location which was frustrating. When we got there, the agent wasn't willing to help us as we did a mobile pick-up. It took a very long time to get approved for the truck and then we had to go back in and get the key from the agent that wouldn't help us in the first place. I thought mobile would be easier but it made things take much longer. Because of not picking up at the original location and the process to complete on mobile, we lost 1.5 hours in the morning of move time.

I called and reserved a covered space for our camper. When I arrived, Stephanie went through the rules, I signed the contact and then headed back to our space. We then found out it was not covered as we were promised. I went back to the office and she was rude. She said there was nothing she could do and I could not make a complaint. She said she could make a compliant, but all will happen is “they” will review my phone call and discuss is with the person who gave me incorrect information. She could’ve cared less about my problem. I told her I gave a spot at another location for $55 per month because I was told this space was covered, so I was willing to pay the extra $30 per month. She told me I could either cancel the contract or take the spot, that the only options I had. I had no choice at this point to take the spot because we’d already lost our other spot. I am very disappointed. We’ve always used U-Haul in the past and never had a bad experience like this. I will not use Uhaul again, and I plan on looking for another spot somewhere else.

No jack for the 6x12 trailer. Had to hand-lift it onto car, with no obvious handle. U-Hail employees used the chains to lift it. Not conducive to easy operation, and easily fixable. Would recommend implementing jacks on these trailers for ease of use.
Poorly staffed. Box interior not clean. Previous rental equipment left on truck.

I rented online transporter for 2 days with one way drop. My fee was ($130) . When I picked up, this Uhaul location negated my online guaranteed ($130) rental fee and forced me to pay ($270) and forced a non required 4 day return time. I drove 600 miles to this pickup location on a tight move schedule to be skrewed by Uhaul. To improve for next customer Uhaul needs to honor this customer 's online rental fee and reimburse the ($140) over charge.

Representative failed to check the rental trailer in or email a receipt. They contacted me the next day asking me to return the trailer even though it was sitting in their lot. I had to spend about an hour on the phone to get it straightened out. Very disappointing.
After hours drop off web page would not work for me. The location kept saying my location was turned off on my phome when it was on.

Everything went well and the staff was very friendly. I had did the self checkin the day before so it would be fast the morning of since we couldn't get it till they opened at 7am and we wanted an earlier start. It seemed like we had to still do a lot of the same things over so it wasn't as fast as I had hoped. I would recommend this place to family and friends that need to rent a Uhaul.
I appreciated the fact that store is set up for social distancing, the only thing is the clerk should have been wearing a mask. Otherwise, super friendly and easy to rent.

There was a miscommunication with the shipping facility in Anaheim, CA. They told us it was ok to not use all the furniture pads and the rest would be collected by the Uhaul team. Once received in Washington, MI the team there states we needed to return all pads to ensure we didn't lose/keep any. We had no idea how many were used and returned. We called Anaheim and they did not know either. The process took much longer than should have because of this. Not a good system.

Water damage in the back of the unit, unseen until we were moving out. 100% loss of multiple boxes, 3 rugs, and family photos. Staff was friendly enough, but they should be given a bit more authority

I find it off putting that the rent constantly goes up. It’s outdoor storage why do you keep jacking up the price. The front office is very unprofessional whenever you have to deal with them.

I was told that if I came in 3/27 I wouldn’t be charged for another month. In fact my account was noted and the staff still said I was still to be charged. Poor service and delivery. Principle.
The only improvement would be to issue brand new gate cards each time as I had to swipe multiple times before the gate would open. My access card seemed to be issued to me as a used one.
I have been a renter at this location for 13 years. The covered spaces were an upgrade but ever since then, service has steadily declined, while there have been constant, ridiculous price increases.
questions were not answered or explained. there were terms and conditions that were added afterward that were not explained on the phone proof of homeowners insurance a round lock cash vs credit car

Excellent -We have used the storage for a couple years while relocating. No problems or surprises. Well one surprise when we were locked in after hours, but still Excellent.
When trying to contact this facility staff phone calls almost always ended up at U-Haul call center. This made communication with the facility staff poor and frustrating.
Prices kept going up was a bit too much.
I was so greatful that the young lady there helped me. She also showed me how the trailer should be hooked up and how to check brake fluid. The Uhaul that rented the trailer to me never showed me

Before U-Haul purchased, I paid $27 / month. In the years since my rates have nearly tripled with a lesser space. The service, security, and amenities have not changed. U-Haul is too expensive.

the no pro-rating charges on leaving is not a good rule, it puts the customer in a negative spot as far as future business. i do however thank the general mgr. for her help in resolving my issue.
