The alarm went off every time I open my unit, mouse or rat ate the top of my boxes, and the unit was marked ready for another customer when I went back to clean the unit.
The employee's there were polite and they helped me out when I asked for it.
I upgraded to a bigger unit - love you guys

You need to widen the vehicle entrance to the north side of the building. Darn near took my mirrors off my vehicle!
The guy who gave me the code to get in gave me the wrong size even though I told him I had a 20ft truck and needed a pull up one and a 3 room storage unit. I got a 10x10 surprisingly did not fit our stuff I had to pack it in there, stuff fell and broke. When I called and complained the guy emailed me back and said I’m sorry and we will give you 20% off 1 month......really?? It took me 5 hours to haul everything instead of an hour, many fights with my husband because I thought he was the I competent one and then we spend another 5 hours moving it out after only a month being there. I would just hope the staff can be better trained to know what it means when you have a 20 ft truck and need a 3 room storage unit not a 10x10. Someone else got my business for the next 2 years. I’m still unhappy because I requested a manager to call and still have never received that call. Terrible customer service and very disappointed. I had higher except actions from a company that specializes in hauling and then storing what you haul.
Rented a unit that still had a uhaul lock on it (called office & they were supposed to remove but failed to Sat so 2 wasted trips Sat to offload items i was storing . On 3rd visit Sun still locked & when uhaul manager came to drill out old lock discovered unit still full with someone else belongings. Manager then traipsed me around aimlessly searching for an empty and showed me 2 units both smaller than I’d rented & though I asked for a unit in size my contract indicated he ended up pawning off a smaller unit to me claiming “only a foot shorter “ though actually 3 foot shorted. If I’d had more time I’d have just canceled rental and used another co.

Moving isn’t the funnest experience ever. Uhaul makes the experience fun and convenient.
I was a little worried at first as there was some confusion between what we booked online and what we had to do once we arrived at the facility. Teresa was very accommodating by showing us some different units and setting us up, while my wife went to the other location to set up payment (part of this may have been that we pushed back our move-in date, and my credit card recently expired). Move in was painless, and again, staff was very helpful. Thanks!
Terrible!! Rented a 3 bedroom unit that we could pull the truck up to and unload, what we received was a 1 bedroom unit because we were told they don’t have pull up 3 bed room units, that isn’t the case. I saw pull up 3 bedroom units when I was there. How do you work for a place and not know what you have and don’t have? The guy who helped me, in which I waited 30 minutes for someone to help (no one was in the building around lunchtime, thinking everyone took lunch at once) pulled up the reservation for the 3 bedroom, I told him I had a 20 foot truck to unload but proceeded to give me a 1 bedroom unit. It was Inconveniently located in the building and because of the wrong size of the unit and us unloading after hours the quick 45 minute drop turned into 3 hours and stuff broke because we had to shove a 20 foot truck into a 1 bedroom unit . I can’t wait to get back to Sioux Falls and get my stuff out of this storage unit and into a place where common sense isn’t an issue. Will never rent from them and do not recommend using them to anyone.
The storage building was clean and well kept. I especially appreciate the carts that are available. The staff was always friendly and knowledgeable and also available. Great experience and highly recommended!
Trying to talk to a real person for questions was difficult. Often times I was sent to a call center and not the local business. I spent a lot of time on hold. I mean A LOT!!! If I went to the actual store/business I was in line for a long time. Seems like there is not enough people working. When I was able to talk to a real person, they were friendly and helpful.
The storage facility itself is new and very secure. I appreciate the extra security measures for the safety of my belongings. The check-in process could have been much less problematic, if only store management had responded as requested. I waited 6 days without a phone call, unable to confirm my reservation while every request to contact me was ignored (central Customer Service was unable to see/confirm the reservation & had sent messages EACH DAY for the local store manager to contact me). Thankfully, Dante was able to resolve all issues once I arrived at my destination -- he went above and beyond to correct the problem, and was very friendly and accommodating. I am a longterm U-Haul customer, having moved each year at some points. The treatment I got from the local Sioux Falls store's management is not in line with the reason I always choose U-Haul, so it was a huge relief to have my faith restored by Dante. -- For it is the overall exceptional staff & quality of service that makes me a repeat customer.
Please let people know they don't have a person at all storage units, so if you need to speak with a person, you'll need to go to a truck rental. Also, give a heads-up that the garage door is very loud when closing. Lastly, even though you disarm the unit, sometimes the alarm still goes off, which is a bit shocking. Good thing I have a strong heart.
The entire staff was extremely helpful and knowledge. They went above and beyond to help and satisfy me to the fullest.
What I like about this storages is it's inside it was air conditioned they had easy access and carts to load your things in and u have your own code to get in and it's a safe place won't get flooded love it

I was charged for the unit with a late fee after I had already removed my items and had told the company I was no longer using the unit so now I am waiting for my refund but am not happy with how my money was taken I was left out of town stranded until I could borrow the money to get home

I have to say that the staff was very nice and tried to be as helpful as possible. It was obvious the staff was not trained well, the counter technology was slow and building technology was not functioning well. The building technology which opens the building is not intuitive. As a customer, I want the in and out service to be easy and quick with good tech. With a couple of tweaks you could have an excellent service. Once inside, all worked extremely well. Nice facility clean with everything you need. Please work on some of the tech and training. Good luck!!!!
I always have a good experience with Uhaul..the only thing I can think that could improve is maybe more staff..or room to add more staff. It some occasions it takes more time than I have time for when I'm there..only because there is always alot of customers.
Relaying information from call center to the 201 s. West office was not received and resolved by personnel at 201 office regarding closing my account. I callles on several occasions and was informed call center would text 201 office; no call received from 201.

I called ahead of time to reserve a unit, when I arrived there was no reservation saved. The sized unit I "reserved" was not available and I had to settle for a smaller unit.
Clean and easy to unload
It was easy. Brandon explained it all before I had left. I would recommend them for a secured storage unit!
When I got to my unit there was a paddalock on my unit and this shouldn't have been the case as I rented the unit 4 hours prior and was told it was available!

Hard to get a hold of management. Got transferred a few times to cancel the unit, never got a call back from my local facility after customer service said they’d give me a call back.

I contacted U-Haul 2 weeks in a row and explained I did not rent a storage unit. I rented a trailer. I have been billed and your office has told me they would reverse the billing???
Other than no electrical outlets in the building and no trashcan on the loading dock for small (not boxes) debris, the location was extremely well maintained and VERY secure.

Every time we went to our unit we were denied access. Pushing the button for help is absolutely useless. So we would have to drive to the store and stand in line. Staff would not fix the problem.
Was unable to access my unit when needing to. Alarm went off two separate visits. Had to sit on the phone for an hour while they went through channel to get me into my unit because gm doesn't answer
She put me at ease immediately and notified me of several perks and promos that benefited me greatly.

The store we returned to told me they would give a $10 rebate due to very smelly furniture pads but never did!! Please reimburse me for them!!!
Horrible service. Waited no one showed up to help when the guy at the front desk promised someone would be there to help me. Called gm and left message. Still no response. Also waited an hour in line.
Worse facility ever had. I lost my belongings and never found when there's 24hr active cameras.

Payment process is the most important to me when using storage. With easy payment online as well as a monthly reminder via email. I did not have to physically go to the office to make my payments.
Seriously bad. Sent me to a locked unit? Seriously. Then guy shows up to cut the lock with a dead battery? Seriously? Phone numbers to call nobody answers including the store manager? Seriously?

My items were in a safe indoor place which was comfortable during any weather and accessible any time of the day Locks and moving carts were provided. I enjoyed the experience.
Despite being very busy, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
It was very difficult for me to get “moved out.” I was moved out, but Sioux Falls U-haul billed me again even tho I had called the corporate # at least 2 time & told them.
Greg is always very helpful and customer oriented . I enjoy doing business with this U-Haul facility.

The general manager took payments from my card without permission. Which made my account overdrawn and caused other overdrafts. Called customer services on multiple occasions. Was put on hold for 45

Lady on the phone got my hopes up, and so I set out to rent a unit. She lied, and thus I did not rent the unit.
Damaged doors. Found drugs inside. Rust falling from the ceilings onto your belongings. If you call, you get a call center, not local. Unresponsive management. Store employees were always great.
Uhaul took a payment out of my checking account for a storage unit I no longer have.
One of the best storage facilities I've used. The climate control was key to the storage of my temperature sensitive musical instruments.
Angela helped me at the 11 St location hub for the storage facility on West Ave. Very courteous and able to answer all my questions and highlighted where my new unit was located on the storage map.
There were many instances where I was unable to access my unit and I was forced to call in and have my code or card fixed. Very frustrating and hopefully easily fixed for next time.

I had to pick up my 4 empty containers from Sioux Falls and drive them to Marshall and that was the hardest part to coordinate, getting two pickups and drivers to go get. They did come pick up the full ones on time and extremely courteous and helpful on any question I had and then at delivery end every UHaul staff I had contact with was very helpful and courteous. All arrived safe without any damage at all!!! I would definitely use this service again and recommend to anybody!!!
