Great service at this location, was a very easy & quick process, I appreciate that! The low tire indicator light was on when I turned it on however. The online 24/7 software didn't work. Would not recognize DL photo. Went inside and told the manager after three tries I gave up. He said â€œwell it's going to take you longer because you gave upâ€. After being rescheduled twice, I had a very unpleasant, tedious, and unwelcoming experience with a manager named Reed when I arrived for my reservation. All communications prior to arrival referenced an online check-in process (which I followed) to save time and abide by COVID regulations, but that was entirely pointless and had to be replicated in person. I wouldn't have minded if the customer service had been at all friendly, but it wasn't and I don't intend to ever use this location again.Elias B.

Wanted to give a shout out to two of your employees: Dennie who attached the trailer to my vehicle was so friendly and upbeat, despite the fact that it was pouring rain, and didn't rush us and gave us safety tips. When we returned the trailer (still pouring rain) Andy was very professional, friendly and juggling several vehicles all by himself and provided a very smooth checkout. Price at store way almost double as quoted online which was not cool. Digital/touch less/person-less reservation experience didn't seem possible.l even though that's what I selected. Checkout process was not super pleasant. After being directed where to park, the guy just disappeared. I went inside to ask what to do next and was then told to move the van to a different area. I then was told to fold the rented moving blankets myself + transport the dolly to the back of the garage myself which was kind of strange. The women who directed me to do this was pleasant and communicated that she had some back issues but there really should've been someone to help her. All in all, it was just a strange, unorganized, uncommunicative experience that could so easily be fixed with just more communication + cohesiveness between the website and that store. The woman who checked me out in the morning was very nice and extremely efficient. She used the info I put into the system the night before and had me in and out in a flash. The man who checked me back in that afternoon met me as I drove up, did his walk around, did the check in off his handheld, confirmed that an email receipt was satisfactory and sent me on my way. You should offer what you can't deliver. I booked with you only because I was told I will be dropping off in Gig Harbor have I known different I would have canceled immediately. Your text came in late and when I called you back to let you know this was not the address I was promised the person on the other side said â€œdon't worry, just call back when you are ready to return and we will provide another addressâ€. This part of the service is totally unacceptable. I was taking a flight that evening and it was impossible to park my car at the airport and deliver your truck at a different location. I had to pay a driver to deliver your truck. I'll never use Uhaul service ever again. JeNOEMI V.

The customer service was very poor from the minute I walked into the rental location on 35th. The sales woman didn't greet any customers when I was there and seemed annoyed that we were there. As she walked out with another customer, I asked a direct question and she didn't even acknowledged that I was there. Other customers laughed at how blatantly rude she was. I use this location for truck rentals all the thime but I had a bad experience recently and feel disappointed. I was issued the wrong truck and then charged for the extra gas. That was refunded but I'm still not clear on why the price was so high. The manager helped me then slammed the door after walking away.ROSALIA R.

It took me 45 minutes to pick up my U-Haul reservation because the lady at the desk said my reservation was there, but the truck wasn't popping up. Once I finally got the uhaul, I was told there was 1/4 a tank and I would need to bring it back at that level. With me needing to load up stuff and move, only having a 1/4 of a tank was kind of frustrating because I knew before I headed out to my destination, I needed to fill up the tank. I decided to not worry about this detail and overlook it. I had to walk all the way to the back of the building to get the truck, even though there were plenty out front. Once I get into the uhaul, the gas level was so low, the gas light was on, and I wasn't even sure if I would make it to the gas station. The gas gauge was way below empty. There was also a pop up on the dash board about one of the tires being low on air and needing to be pumped up, which meant increased risk for a tire issue, and worse gas mileage. Very frustrated at this visit with u-haul, I normally have a great experience but this was all around very frustrating.FRANCINE SUN JUN L.

I received the truck with only 1/8 tank of fuel...that was frustrating and stressful as I needed to get to the apartment to load the truck not deal with finding a fuel station for a 26' truck in an unfamiliar area...it would be better if every vehicle left with at least a half of tank of fuel.MICHAEL T.

The two people who helped us when we first arrived gave us conflicting information on what we would be charged for (hourly use/mileage). Then when we brought the van back I was charged double what the original quote was and when I asked questions about the fees the employee completed disregarded them and turned away from me to speak to my friend (a man) instead even though it was my reservation. It felt like very sexist treatment and I wouldn't come back here.ANDREW G.

This was a very upsetting experience. The location did not have my order ready, had the wrong information for my order time and usage, and did not coordinate with the labor I chose from the site. To make matters worse, the manager called me and was rude, unhelpful, unapologetic, and in no way professional. Instead of listening to the order information I had, he kept yelling about the trailer return. He said he would call me back and never did. regarding my ranking of no on question y (recommending) u-haul storage - i would totally recommend based on Q1 thru Q5, but in my situation the rank is solely a cost reason. 194 $/mo is high for my needs (i really don't care too much about the contents anyway, and locker is bigger than necessary).... For no reason they always had a lock on our storage unit when I ALWAYS paid on time. The original worker I talked to said that paying on the day it was due meant it was late (excuse me?), another coworker over heard this and told him that wasn't true and they shouldn't be locking our things. They got into an argument in front of us. Every time we had to have them unlock our unit they took their time and made us wait around 30 minutes. When we checked in with our key card the alarm guaranteed would still go off every time, but also no one ever checked on us when it did go off, so the staff just truly doesn't care or checks on anyones unit when the alarms go off. The automatic lights turn off after 2 minutes, so when we were in our storage unit we would have to run down the hallway every two minutes for the lights to turn back on. The layout was terrible and was impossible to quickly get our things since there was no ramp to roll our things down from the second floor with. We had to carry our items to the bottom of the stairs and then wheel them to our car. On our last day there, there was one worker who was in charge of the storage units and she has been the only helpful worker for the few years I have had to use this facility, I wish I got her name (but it is whoever is in charge of storage currently (9/27/21)) and she is the only one who seemed to follow any process or protocol. When she tried any protocol it seemed all the other co workers there were "too cool" or maybe just high, and would get in her way to do the right thing. She asked the red-headed guy with the beanie behind the counter if anyone did a final check on our storage unit, and he replied "whatever they're just going to sign." The thing was, we were waiting at our unit for someone to come check because they said they were sending an employee to do so, after waiting 30 minutes a different worker came up to tell us we had to move our car because they needed it for a truck (even he was abrasive, and did not wear a mask and we had to ride in an elevator with him.) On our way back up to move our car is when the red headed employee just told us to sign, so we were very confused that he made us wait 30 minutes next to our unit at all just to sign a paper that our unit was "checked." Move in was very easy but little information is provided as to where you need to enter. It also states vastly different hours on the website than reality. It was a major consideration when renting the unit only to find out it is limited to business hours, not the stated after hours access. I feel deceived and therefore do not feel I should be paying as much as I am. It is much harder for me to use this unit without the stated hours. Overall experience at the facility was great. The negative is that I had to drive there to confirm/'rent now' for the booking. The online system only 'reserved' but not guaranteed the booking - that felt misleading and created a sense of unease had I not followed up prior to the date I expected my reserved two storage units to be available. The gentlemen I spoke with showed on his end the two units I reserved but they were not visible for me to rent now online so I had to drive there to complete the booking. I am hoping to get a different unit. It was not clear to me in the online process that there is no elevator access to my unit and the instructions to access the unit were not specific to this facility. Knowing how to get into the storage area is unclear. There are available carts but the entry had a clock curb which makes the carts useless. I ended having to load and unload my items multiple times to even get them from my car to the unit because of the curb and the stairs. Nothing about this is convenient or conducive to an efficient move or storage.
