I received the truck with only 1/8 tank of fuel...that was frustrating and stressful as I needed to get to the apartment to load the truck not deal with finding a fuel station for a 26' truck in an unfamiliar area...it would be better if every vehicle left with at least a half of tank of fuel.MICHAEL T.

The two people who helped us when we first arrived gave us conflicting information on what we would be charged for (hourly use/mileage). Then when we brought the van back I was charged double what the original quote was and when I asked questions about the fees the employee completed disregarded them and turned away from me to speak to my friend (a man) instead even though it was my reservation. This was a very upsetting experience. The location did not have my order ready, had the wrong information for my order time and usage, and did not coordinate with the labor I chose from the site. To make matters worse, the manager called me and was rude, unhelpful, unapologetic, and in no way professional. Instead of listening to the order information I had, he kept yelling about the trailer return. He said he would call me back and never did. regarding my ranking of no on question y (recommending) u-haul storage - i would totally recommend based on Q1 thru Q5, but in my situation the rank is solely a cost reason. 194 $/mo is high for my needs (i really don't care too much about the contents anyway, and locker is bigger than necessary).... For no reason they always had a lock on our storage unit when I ALWAYS paid on time. The original worker I talked to said that paying on the day it was due meant it was late (excuse me?), another coworker over heard this and told him that wasn't true and they shouldn't be locking our things. They got into an argument in front of us. Every time we had to have them unlock our unit they took their time and made us wait around 30 minutes. When we checked in with our key card the alarm guaranteed would still go off every time, but also no one ever checked on us when it did go off, so the staff just truly doesn't care or checks on anyones unit when the alarms go off. The automatic lights turn off after 2 minutes, so when we were in our storage unit we would have to run down the hallway every two minutes for the lights to turn back on. The layout was terrible and was impossible to quickly get our things since there was no ramp to roll our things down from the second floor with. We had to carry our items to the bottom of the stairs and then wheel them to our car. On our last day there, there was one worker who was in charge of the storage units and she has been the only helpful worker for the few years I have had to use this facility, I wish I got her name (but it is whoever is in charge of storage currently (9/27/21)) and she is the only one who seemed to follow any process or protocol. When she tried any protocol it seemed all the other co workers there were "too cool" or maybe just high, and would get in her way to do the right thing. She asked the red-headed guy with the beanie behind the counter if anyone did a final check on our storage unit, and he replied "whatever they're just going to sign." The thing was, we were waiting at our unit for someone to come check because they said they were sending an employee to do so, after waiting 30 minutes a different worker came up to tell us we had to move our car because they needed it for a truck (even he was abrasive, and did not wear a mask and we had to ride in an elevator with him.) On our way back up to move our car is when the red headed employee just told us to sign, so we were very confused that he made us wait 30 minutes next to our unit at all just to sign a paper that our unit was "checked." I had a horrible experience with uhaul I scheduled my rental and they said they had a vehicle for me I show up they send me to a different location to pick up this vehicle come to find out they are contracting other small companies like west coast storage to have these vehicles in all retrospect uhaul doesn't do their diligence of verify with these smaller companies if they have vehicles able to rent long story short I was given the run around then told I didn't have a vehicle after contacting uhaul by phone I was sent 35+ Miles to a different location to pick up a vehicle when picking up the vehicle they left their counter unattended and was very rude to the costumersSYDNEY S.

I would say yes, because I have used this location on several occasions in the past. However, the person who waited on me on this occasion was short, bordering on rude. There were no pleasantries exchanged. It was very bad day for me, My mom had died and I was on my way to clean out her apartment. I'm sure I must have seemed a bit confused to the agent but there wasn't even a hint of concern. I was having trouble with some of the entries needed and instead of asking me what the trouble was, I was told 'You have to read what screen says, sir' How insulting! This location is horrid. The representative that hooked my trailer up to my vehicle lost control of the trailer while going to attach it and rammed it into my bumper, leaving a divot and scratch in the plasticâ€¦ When I said I need to report that, she hesitated then said â€œit's not that badâ€ as if I'm not supposed to care. She then called over an older gentleman to help with the situation and, after he looked down at the damage (which is minor) he just glared at me and said nothingâ€¦ Sort of a threatening look. Finally, the manager came out, took photos of the damage then offered no follow upâ€¦ I had to ask what we do next to which he replied â€œI'm not sureâ€ because, according to him, he's never seen this happen before. He then told me I need to call and report it to Uhaulâ€¦ I was AT Uhaul!! And your employee damaged my 50 $k vehicle! All of this and he never even offered to refund my trailer rental feeâ€¦ Unbelievable. The following day, I did report the matter to Uhaul customer service who brushed me off and told me I need to report it to their insurance providerâ€¦ It's all ridiculous - Your incompetent employees damage my vehicle, treat me like I'm being unreasonable because I want them to be accountable for their actions, then your company offers me nothing for help. I've used Uhaul numerous times in the past but I'm all but sure this will be the last time I'll use your company. I'll be contacting Penske or literally any other company that stands behind their work and takes responsibilities for their errors.DANIEL G.

Be sure to explain where more trucks are located. I walk to the side of the building and was confused. They apologized for not letting us know we needed to go downstairs however didn't explain that once downstairs do go out the door to the right that will lead outside etc.. Just confusing and could of been better explained the first time or someone could have escorted us being that their were three reps and we were the only customers at the time. Just a suggestion. It would be more fair if the fuel tank was filled all the way when I received the vehicle. It was at 15/16. Re-filling to 15/16 is not practical, so I ended up returning it with a filled tank meaning I had to pay for gas I didn't use.MATTHEW DAVID M.

It was really difficult to get an appointment because of what appears to be a disorganized approach to making reservations. We called the store and an employee reserved an installation date for us which was well in advance of the date we planned to travel with our hitch mounted bike rack. Next, we were called and told there is not an install tech on the date scheduled so we would have to reschedule. The reschedule dates offered were after our trip. Not happy about this at all, I told the person who called they needed to fit us in and he refused. Why in the world does the customer have to 'pay' for mistakes made by the store. It's really unacceptable. We had UHaul install a bike hitch on our other care previously at this location and they completely messed it up then too. The appointment and hitch install was fine, the installer offered to put my brand new rack on the hitch and I had to help him figure it out. I brought the bike rack with me but UHaul sells it!!! It took over an hour and in the process he lost a nut so I had to take it ogg, go to Home Depot and buy another nut. Get it together West Seattle UHaul, this is insanity.mona M.

Move in was very easy but little information is provided as to where you need to enter. It also states vastly different hours on the website than reality. It was a major consideration when renting the unit only to find out it is limited to business hours, not the stated after hours access. I feel deceived and therefore do not feel I should be paying as much as I am. It is much harder for me to use this unit without the stated hours. Overall experience at the facility was great. The negative is that I had to drive there to confirm/'rent now' for the booking. The online system only 'reserved' but not guaranteed the booking - that felt misleading and created a sense of unease had I not followed up prior to the date I expected my reserved two storage units to be available. The gentlemen I spoke with showed on his end the two units I reserved but they were not visible for me to rent now online so I had to drive there to complete the booking. I am hoping to get a different unit. It was not clear to me in the online process that there is no elevator access to my unit and the instructions to access the unit were not specific to this facility. Knowing how to get into the storage area is unclear. There are available carts but the entry had a clock curb which makes the carts useless. I ended having to load and unload my items multiple times to even get them from my car to the unit because of the curb and the stairs. Nothing about this is convenient or conducive to an efficient move or storage.
