Not on the locations fault but because UHaul is so unorganized and profit forward they really make your moving experience a hassle. Less than 2 days before my scheduled move they called to tell me they didn't have a truck at my requested pick up location. I booked this truck about 2 weeks in advance... you had two weeks to notify us. And the only truck available was 35 min away from my original pick up locationAlexander M.

I had arranged for a 5x10 open trailer on the website. I was directed to the Ultramar location outside Newcastle Ontario. I paid online and went to the site for pickup where I was given a 6x12 closed trailer. The agent said that was it, no others available. He would not help me hitch it up but photographed the tongue and chains prior to me leaving. Despite ordering a dozen blankets there were no blankets for packing available. I did pay for a 5x10 trailer but the size of this one necessitated a distant parking spot from the contents we were moving. We hand carried the contents to the trailer. Upon drop off the agent was unhappy to have to help me to unhitch the trailer. Otherwise the trailer worked well but I will avoid this uhaul location. Kim L WardKim W.

Well we booked a 15 footer U-Haul truck for a location in Coburg... We ended up getting a phone call the day before pickup telling us that there would not be a 15 footer available for us in Coburg.. but they said there was a 26 footer available for us The only catch was it was a Newcastle about a 40-minute drive further That's the only difference.. The good thing is they gave us the 26 footer for the same price as the 15 footer which was really pleasant.. The gentleman working at the Newcastle location was really polite and a delight to interact with and made it really easy process.. drop off was just the same really easy and pleasant.. I definitely will recommend this location off the 115 highway to all my friends and family...HAROLD M.

I had rented a 20 foot from Oshawa and a couple of days later got a call that they had made a mistake and it wasn't available so I was sent to Newcastle to get a 26 foot and was told that they were only going to charge me 75 and give me 150 kilometers. They also did not tell me I needed a key number and had to fill out information on line before I picked up the truck so I had reserved the truck for 10 and didn't get it until after 12 and was charged full price and yesterday another 68 was taken off my credit card. Truck did not drive well very bad shake in the drive line. Also check engine light was on This was the worst rental I have ever had. 3 separate people told me I could rent the truck for the duration of my transfer. Once I had the truck I was told otherwise. No one knows what they are doing and how things work.Eric B.

Reason: because when I reserved the vehicle the website showed " this price cover 3 days and 6 hudred something km. But when I returned the vehicle it was 2 days and 3 hundred something km and I was charged for 178cad for extra millage. I am not happy at all. Mauvaise expérience.Kaikaous W.
the check-in process took 40 minutes, which took away from the time the vehicle was reserved for. Customers should be advised, prior to pick-up, that they can arrive earlier than the "reserved pick-up time" to allow for the time needed to go through vehicle inspection process.Robert M.
Although there was a bulking issue at the end, the problem was taken care of. The billing system over charged us for KM driven, using KM as Miles. They were able to refund the difference because the system wouldn't allow an over ride. We were happy with this solution.Bev L.
We gave up on UHaul over 10 years ago, however heard things had improved and figured we would give an opportunity to redeem yourselves. This entire interaction from start to finish was a nightmare. First, when attempting to book online, I was met with system limitations as I needed the vehicle for 3 days, and not 2, the max allowable on the website. When I called customer service for assistance I discovered that they are using the exact same system and have no further information or resources. It was a complete waste of a phone call. I was eventually booked in after receiving a call from an "area manager", who also wasn't overly helpful or knowledgable about the area. When arriving for pickup, I was met with an hour long delay as my "profile" wasn't complete. If I'd been notified that further information was required, I could have gone online to complete it beforehand which would have sped up the process exponentially. As a result of this delay, I was over an hour late arriving at my destination. What was even worse was the return process. The location was to be open till 9; my rental due back at 8. I arrived at 7:15 and the gas station was closed and there was no one to be seen, or a contact number. I attempted to call UHaul directly and was met with a 40min wait time; live chat was 54mins. I did the online return, however there was no drop box. After over an hour waiting on hold with both telephone customer service and online chat, we gave up. I ended up leaving the keys in the glove box and locking the doors. 30mins later I finally received a call back from the owner. This delay resulted in my being 2 hours late arriving home. Where the site owner was very polite and pleasant to deal with, the entire process of booking, picking up and returning the vehicle was a disaster. Our organization will absolutely be booking with another rental company going forward.Melissa R.
No dolly as ordered, truck was dirty, damages were not all noted on truck,gas tank was low and not accurately marked on contract, charged 195 for gas discrepancy, called multiple times to try and resolve the gas charge, waited long time then put on power hold after talking to someone then hung up on 2 times. Owner at gas bar was rude, kid behind gas bar check out was not trained in uhaul rentals as per his statement and his boss difficult to find, boss refused to give name when he was asked, told they did t know how to apply 30$ vip discount, told manager would call me aboutthe dolly not being on site and never called. I had to pay someone to helpme lift heavy items as no dolly avail and 30 didnt cover that cost, overall horrible experience, wouldn't recommend, my issues still unresolved.MELISSA A.
