Was told the AC was working, and I called the Uhaul location in my way back because it barely worked, was told â€œit works better when it's on the normal AC settingâ€ Well- just as a reminder, although none should be needed, AZ weather is HOT. Hyperthermia can happen in a very short amount of time in AZ, and the heat can be dangerous. The AC needs to be working, regardless of what setting- the â€˜normal' settling barely blew out a skiff of air. When picking up the truck I asked TWICE if the air is working- and if this location considers a AC barely blowing a skiff as â€œworkingâ€ then it is true â€œtechnicallyâ€ but he loses all credibility when NOT being transparent or very truthful. Also, the guy told me that the weather hasn't been this hot and it had been workingâ€¦. Uhaul must have their vehicles in optimal working condition, fix what's not working, be upfront & transparent with customers, and bottom line, treat the customers well and value them and NOT try to make excuses when confronted. So shady. The only thing that is saving me from escalating this complaint further, is that he gave me a Discount, rightfully so.Carrie B.

Pickup took almost 45 minutes though we were the only customer. Rep was not knowledgeable about equipment or additional supplies, for example, did not know which trailer was the correct one for the order, did not know what a â€œmoving blanketâ€ was or where they would be, did not know how to properly hook up the trailer to the truck. Overall a frustrating experience.SHAWN G.

I left my house keys in the truck and ask to get them out. The lady in the room stated â€œ I can't help you â€œ over and over rudely. The keys were in the car and easily accessible. A gentleman lman then found my keys abs gave them to meAshley A.

I had an excellent experience for the year that I rented a storage space. I have also rented a U-haul truck out of the office several times. The unit was clean and easy to drive up to. This place was confusing and a mess. The Uhaul customer service said that it was open. it was not open on Sunday and they said it was. The gate happen to be open when I arrived. however, it closed and I was locked in until someone else arrived. I was not happy about the experience.PETER C.

We are in the middle of a global pandemic and the employee was not waring a mask. Unacceptable! No hand sanitizer in the office for him or guest. Fixing the online application for pickup/dropoff. It did not work even when logging in with the attached email.Sarah P.
Everything went perfectly! Check in and pick up was fast and easy. The cargo van is always what I rent and it was in perfect condition and the a/c rocked! We dropped off after hours and that process on the app was so easy and uploading the photos gives peace of mind that you stay on the same page. We will continue with Uhaul every time because I can count on them for consistency.Michelle M.

I had a reservation with UHaul yesterday and it ended very badly. We went through a 3rd party renter, University Self Storage. When I went to pick up the truck, the front desk person informed us to leave the truck parked outside of the gate since it would be after office hours. I pull up to return the truck at 8:00pm and there are already two other UHauls parked outside of the gate, which left us nowhere to park ours. There was a person exiting the storage facility so we were able to pull the truck inside to safely return it. However, since we were never given a gate code and were left with no other options for parking, the driver (Daniel) ended up getting stuck inside the storage facility. At this time, I called UHaul for customer service. Since this is a third party dealer, they had no access to a gate code to let him out. The customer service rep tried to call the area president, as well as the area manager, both of which did not answer the phone. We also tried to call the University Self Storage office, but again there was no answer and we left a voicemail (we still have yet to hear back from them). This third party does not list an after hours number, or emergency number. Unfortunately there was nothing else the Uhaul rep could do for us. The driver was stuck inside the facility for over half an hour, in 100 degree heat with no help from anyone. Luckily the driver was not exiting in a vehicle and was in good enough physical shape to climb the 12' gate. This is absolutely unacceptable for a renter to deal with and we should not have resorted to jumping the gate in the first place. I understand that this was not a corporate UHaul location and resources were limited, but there should be some kind of emergency line or protocol in place for these types of situations. We have tried to contact the 3rd party dealer with no success. A gate code should have been provided in case of an emergency. I will not be renting from a 3rd party dealer going forward. I look forward to seeing how UHaul will be handling this problem.Daniel B.

The man who operates this location was extremely rude and upon return of the truck he said he would be with us in a moment & then proceeded to ignore us even after he was done helping another customer. Furthermore, there is no indication of where one should park which is majorly inconvenient. And I called in a panic because we were hit by a dust storm and I couldn't return the truck when originally intended but he never got back to me â€" Luckily your national customer service line is super helpful!Lucille K.

The person who I met with was profesional, but not friendly. While the truck was 'clean', it still seemed like it could use a wash with soap and a brush, not just water. The picking of time frame to use the equipment was unclear to me. I choose 6 hours, but it was never clear to me if the price will increase (and how much) if I've chosen more than that to move my stuff (the website is pretty clear in the, say 19,90 rate plus 0,75 for mile, but is unclear on the time frame just mentioned). I asked the office manager if it was possible to extend that time frame a bit more cause I have realized it will take me more that previously estimated, and he told me that was absolutely imposible, without even presenting me any more options. Otherwise the cars are very useful and easy to operate.Carlos C.

I was assessed a 20 $after hours service fee even though I returned the vehicle 3 hours before the contract said it was due. I drove it 5 miles less than I estimated. I put 3 extra gallons of fuel in the vehicle even though I only drove it 10 miles. At the time I was checking the vehicle out, I was asked to wear a mask, but the woman behind the counter did not wear a mask. When I attempted to return the vehicle, there was a sign on the office door stating that the manager was not in the office (yet was on property) and that we were to leave the keys in the dropboxâ€¦ so I did.
