It wasn't clear where I was supposed to drop off the van. I think I parked it in the neighboring lot only because there were two other U-Haul's parked there. It was dark, and the overall return process online was horrible.

RECOMMEND: - Cleaning the Van - Van needed an oil change, constant blink on the Dash - A/C May need to be looked at (Did not blow cool air, Not a big deal, Windows Worked) THOUGHS: - Van drove Nice, A/C Did not work, Easy to get in and out of lot, though the map on the U-haul was off by 1 Lot. - Key was easy to get and return - Dropoff was not Easy to do, Application would not register Payment type, though it auto-took the next day, i found out on my email.

Mark WDon't keep switching the pickup location! I booked my location based on proximity to my new house. My pick up location was switched twice even though the location I selected had the truck I requested. This was very frustrating and a waste of my time. After many long phone calls I was able to pick up the truck at my original requested location.

The automated app required a second person with a second cell phone to be called. That call took over 30 minutes to happen. The whole pick up process took almost an hour. The instructions not adequate No where does it say in order to rent a Uhaul you have to have another person with a cell phone as a backup and reference No where does it say that second reference has to be called in order to advance in the pick up app No where does it say it should take 45 minutes to pick up a Uhaul using the app The app does not work well and is buggy I have a newer iPhone that is up to date, yet the app crashed, had issue loading photos The local Uhaul owner was not helpful, condescending and did not help. He told me I should have brought an umbrella. Also I would like to see anyone try to take photos of a truck while holding an umbrella and photograph a trucks roof without a ladder. It's not possible. I was out in the rain for over 30 minutes waiting for authorization, then had to take photos of the truck in the rain and was expected to photograph the roof without a ladder which is impossible. Over an hour out in the rain. The truck was dirty I called 4 different times and had to wait over 10 minutes each time, once over 30 minutes and got transferred multiple times and had to wait each time I had my rental location changed 3x by Uhaul, once giving me a location over an hour and a half from where I booked it. Each time I had to call in wait over 30 minutes to get it corrected. Ended up with a location further than I booked from. Instead of getting a reduction in the rental and a manager to call, we got $20 certificate for a future rental. Not adequate resolution. Do yourself a favor, do not use Uhaul, and do not use their mobile app. If you have no choice only go in person when they are open for pickup and drop off. Lastly if they change your location, walk away from the rental.

RAYMOND MThe UHaul app did not work on my Samsung Galaxy S24. It continually failed to determine location even though it had all the permissions it asked for and would not let me continue with the rental. The told me to go into the office to complete the rental. Even though I scheduled the rental during the hours the office was supposed to be open, the office was closed. There was a number on the door that I called that connected me to someone who was in another state. Ultimately, I had to borrow my daughter's iPhone, install the app, log in from it and complete the rental process on her phone. Fix your app!

Jeanne WThe drop-off was a very smooth experience, however, the app is incredibly broken. Every single thing I tried to do just took me back to the main screen. I had to go through my browser to get it to work and the app made it nothing but frustrating. Pickup took way longer purely trying to log in and get the code.

William GThe Uhaul app did not work for contactless pickup. I spent 40 minutes waiting on the phone for someone to help me. I had to do it through a web browser at the end and after that everything was good. Van was brend New and I liked that a lot. 2 stars because of bad customer service.
Jovan KI arrived to a can thatt had ice/snow all over the windshield and roof. I didn't have means to clear the roof and wiped the windshield with my hands. We hadn't had snow for several days. It wasn't ideal. The day I drove the van, my stops were met with icey discharge from the roof. It was a hazard for the drivers around me.

Larry PYou need to improve your pickup by phone program. It cannot read my PA license and in the end I could not complete the rental with my phone and nearly timed out of my reservation. I needed help from the wonderful, outstanding manager, Dave but if this were a weekend I would not have been able to rent the van.

Michael WThe cumbersome process to get the truck and return it was a pain in the ass. I will never do that process again. Fifteen photos of my driver's license is too much. In the future, if i rent from U-Haul ( I would consider a difference vendor because if this) I will make certain I deal with a human being. The entire process was a pain in the ass.

Iain DI feel the 19,95 rental fee is a little deceiving. We rented the van to go pick up a bookshelf at IKEA and we ended up paying almost $100 due to price for miles even though we returned it to the same location. Too expensive.

I was lucky to have someone there with me to put as a reference but if someone is already on-site, there is no way that they have their passport or a copy of a lease available. This should all be done prior to arrival on-site.

Everyone I dealt with on the phone was great -- the logistics of pick up and drop off were difficult!

I called the customer support number to inform them of the issue and they quickly switched my reservation to a different truck. I ended up paying for the rental equipment that I never received.
