My online be reservation wasn't sent to the requested location. They didn't have the size truck I had reserved. Staff at location are not focused on UHaul customers. Truck cab had sticky surfaces from previous customer. Return process was especially frustrating. I was charged over 100 $for a service I expected to pay much less for. I waited on hold for my profile to be approved for 20 minutes. I had to stand outside after submitting everything properly 20 minutes for someone online to reply. TOO LONG! Suggestion: allow the renter to upload their picture and drivers license before their scheduled pickup time for approval. It might go much faster!Bret G.

I think the only suggestion would be to perhaps let customers know approximately how much gas needs to be put into the vehicle, either before driving away, or maybe even place a guide in the vehicle itself. I ended up putting in too much gas at the end of my trip, and I felt foolish.Mark D.

If someone has a reservation, They should be guaranteed equipment. I made a reservation on a Friday for Monday at the Toluca lake location, got a call Sunday saying they didn't have a one way truck for us so they moved us to the north Hollywood location at a smoke shop. The guy working there had no idea what was going on and said the only truck they had for us had the keys locked inside the truck, so that wasn't very helpful. He then sent us to another North Hollywood location but couldn't make a reservation for us because his computer crashed. So we just drove over hoping they'd have something for us. I did call ahead but was on hold the entire drive to that location. Once there we were told they also did not have any one way trucks for us but luckily the woman working knew what she was doing and was very helpful. She found us a truck to use at the laurel canyon laundromat location and put that truck on hold for us. Luckily once there, we were able to get the truck in a good amount of time and the man working there was extremely nice and helpful. But that took us going to 4 different locations and set us back about 90 minutes from our original reservation pick up time. So please, when someone makes a reservation, it should be guaranteed that they will have the right equipment at the right location.Rachel W.

Yes, I do have concerns. A lot actually. To start with, I've made videos that I am attaching here and also had two people that were helping me with the move that witnessed everything I am going to tell you. Do you want to know how was my experience with U-Haul? Beyond awful, if words could describe it. First, I was supposed to pick up the truck at the U-Haul location in North Hollywood, at Victory Boulevard to be more specific. They then told me to pick up the truck in another location at the last minute. When we got there, at the Valley Village location, it was a Laudromat, rather than U-haul. There were human feces all over the truck, with flies that were around the stool seating on us. The lady who handled us the keys was a laundromat employee. She didn't know anything about the contract, no guidelines, I had no information at all. Instead U-haul is offering an online auto service that does not work. You expect us to fill out all the paperwork by our own expense and do not offer any support at all! With that been said, I didn't know how to properly do the checklist, and even more than that, I didn't know how to operate the truck. After searching for guidance in your webpage, since there was no one to instruct me at the location, I found zero information. So once again we needed to do it all by our own. First, the tank wasn't half filled as you stated. It was way lower than that. The truck was dirty and I didn't have means to report that since I didn't have time to seat over the phone for about half an hour to speak to someone at this company, as I later did. Since I didn't have the whole day to work on my moving, I decided to let it go. But I Am not letting it go now! I am going to escalate this. I want to be reimbursed for the gas that was missing, and for the overfill that I did when returning the truck. Since I had no guidance in how to do the returning, again, with no guidelines, I ended up delivering the keys in the appropriate box, and later was asked to do pictures, but it was too late. I did make videos that I am sharing with you in this e-mail. I was supposed to receive student discount for the truck, and I didn't. I expect U-haul to be accountable for their mistakes. You definitely has to improve your truck services!FABIANO M.

The girl in the laundromat was helpful. However, I'd prefer dealing with an actual Uhaul employee in a Uhaul branch. I only used this location for last minute convenience. I subsequently received an email with the final receipt with a notation to email any questions. I had a question about my bill and still haven't heard back from anyone.Paige Z.

Recommend someone gets there earlier than their allotted time because it takes time to check in and get going. Added 15 mins to my move time. When I lifted the back foot there was a homeless man sleeping in the truck with a bottle full of urine. Keep your trucks locked this was truly disgusting!April M.
There was no designated parking spots for the uhaul trucks. It's just a small parking lot for the laundromat, so if all of the more easily accessible spots are taken, you may have a hard time finding a spot that comfortably fits one of the trucks. We had a 15' so it was tough, but we made it work. There's also no one inside to help you, and it took a little while to find the keys pickup and drop-off. It was kind of fun, like geocaching. The truck itself was fine, didn't have any problems, though it did smell like cigarette smoke, and it didn't have all the blankets it stated it would. I want to review another reservation I had, which was cancelled because either the person didn't return the truck or it broke down. This occurred at a different location, but because it was cancelled, I'm not able to leave a review! Uhaul offers their 50 $guarantee, but it cost us an extra 250 $for a month of storage which was our only other option since there were no other trucks available (from any company). We've also not had another opportunity to move because of the rain so we've struggled all month because Uhaul wasn't able to provide us with a solution to a reservation we'd made a week in advance. I appreciate the gesture, but ultimately, that 50 $reservation guarantee doesn't help.Carina G.

I was really disappointed because My original location was supposed to be 24/7 Pick up through the app, but it wasn't. It pushed my pick up time back 2 hours to wait for the owner to arrive. I had to call and get rerouted to a new location and get a smaller truck in order to start my move on time. Very disappointing.Dave O.

Located inside a laundromat which was weird at first, but the place is clean and I'll probably be taking my laundry there now lol-- they have a drop off service!!! I rented a van from Valley Village Laundromat. I was charged 7,88 $ for gasoline after I drove the cargo van 14 miles, even though I added 1,29 gallons right down the street from the Laundromat where it was returned. I have gas the receipt (if needed) and have been refunded for the incorrect gas refilling charge by the Laundromat owners. The hassle alone of having to go back to show that I was incorrectly charged/ argue over where the gas should have been( even though I added more gas than where it was to begin with) makes me want to look elsewhere in the future when renting a vehicle.Lee R.

The unit was clean but the drivers side door would not close. I needed to hold the door shut around 40 miles per hour. No problems under 35 miles per hour. Not safe to drive on the interstate, but Ok locally.Vernon A.

I pick up the U Hall on Monday the 11, of November and 2019 the store manager very friendly and excellent customer services!!! I will definitely highly recommended this location to friends ?? and any family members most definitely!!! This non-traditional pick-up location was a bit odd at first, but when I called to ask about availability, I received excellent service from Jeff who made sure there was a vehicle ready before I made the drive to the pick-up location. He let me know what I'd need to do once there; and who I would be working with. At the location, all the digital sign up stuff went smoothly and Kathleen was very friendly and helpful letting me know each step. Later, Jeff contacted me to make sure everything went smoothly. The next day I wanted to keep the vehicle for another day. Even though the van was already reserved, Jeff offered some solutions, made some calls and was able to help me while not impacting the other customer. Jeff went above and beyond exceeding my expectations with his customer service. The only thing I can suggest is that the outside of the van could have used a wash. The inside was clean - both in the drivers area and in the back cab. But I think there is such demand that they didn't have time to wash it in-between rentals. For me, I'd rather have a dusty van though, than not having one a ailanle to rent when I needed it.KM C.
