What staff? The building had a note on the door telling you they were working out of another location and to call a number. I called the number 3 times - no answer, no response, no communication. I wanted to talk to someone about taking that raggedy truck out of commission. I refused to drive it any further. No one, till this day has picked up a phone to say anything.
Enttic H.This business owner lacked basic communication. You have to press a button outside of their premise to talk because they conduct clandestine things they don't want you to see, their doors and windows have privacy glass also, you can't see them but not vise versa. They cheated me by saying their truck was clean of damages, thank God I conducted due diligence by walking around and found multiple dents around theirs, so that I disputed the photos they sent me for its exterior. The lockbox where I picked up the key wasn't even locked, the engine light was always on, I was lucky I wasn't in any accident caused by it.

Which I had to paid for rental and then I had to pay way too much when I dropped off the truck Due to the fact I had to go too Henrico. I was going to drop it off at the U-Haul place on that side of town but was told I had to return it back at the original location so therefore it put more mileage and use of gas so I felt like that's how they got me with that price I had too pay.

Michael H.My husband left his wallet in the uhaul and did not realize it until after dropping the keys off in the drop box. Leaving several messages with the location and calling Uhaul, it was a nightmare getting his wallet back. The guy at the drop off location, once finally gotten ahold of, just laughed at our situation and said there was nothing he could do. Laughed at our situation…seriously? It took 3 different calls to 3 different Uhaul reps before finally getting help in locating the truck and new renters so we could retrieve our wallet. Customer service is nonexistent.
Dwayne H.Called number as instructed upon arrival in the area. No answer and was unsure what to do when I did arrive. Found different number on door to call, no answer. Went to address on door and was told to return to original location to drop off and use Ring to call in. This wasted at least 30 minutes of my time. Service Representative was very helpful when I couldn't detach the trailer.

Robert B.The people and the equipment were just fine. I would have given a higher rating if the pickup location was where I expected to go to from the start. Changing the pickup location on me twice was not expected or really appreciated. The original location provided with my initial reservation was very close to my home but the final location was about 20 miles further away and contributed to the additional mileage charge at the end of the rental period. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have been charged any extra miles. While the extra charge wasn't that much, it's still an irritant to get hit with extra charges when I was led to believe the pickup location was accurate. Your website should be changed to state in "big print" that the pickup location will probably be changed adding an additional mileage charge.

I've never had a bad exp with uhaul until now. The vehicles transmission was in very poor condition, we almost did not make it to the destination.
Tanya E.No one told me that I would have put to a 12x10 trailer on myself. Iv never been to a uhual location where no one is at. Carol( front desk) and I ( both smaller ladies) had to lift the uhual together onto my car. It took us about 40mintues. After learning that the location isn't there main ( they drive from another storage unit location down the steeet) one I called 15x on my way back to let someone know I'd be there to drop the trailer and no answer. I continued to call as I was in the parking lot. I finally got ahold of someone to let them know I was dropping off the trailer and if they could come help. The lady told me that she can't pick that up so she can't come help. I was dumb founded. This is the absolutely worse uhual I have ever been too. I'll never go back.

ANGELA M.I selected this a preferred location then I drove 100 miles you sent me to car n go on hill street blvd 15 miles away then no 6x12 trailer there. Only to be sent back to original location in chester. This day cost me 90 mins and when you drive that far already made everything worse. Oh, and I received a separate email about this contract and it said if I had any comments about my experience and it gave a link 825001_afm@uhall.com, I clicked on that email link and sent more details, one week ago, never, repeat never got a reply. Poor customer service. And while I have you Uhaul mismanagement if scheduling on July 02 caused me to chase my uboxes to 3 locations it took so long I lost my movers, then when I rearranged for the 4th uhaul didnt have a trailer capable of carrying 2 boxes at once. So I had to travel fifteen Miles one way after loading first box to drop off first get second, all this cost me time, when you are moving in 95 deg heat you don't need to waste time. Uhaul has a scheduling issue, if walmart can see inventory from Arkansas yiu should know where the heck your equipment us and not cause grief for your customers. I have moved a lot over the years and used uhaul, today's time there are other choices, experiences like mine sure make me want to look at those choices. The manager of your store on s Carter rd petersburg is awesome, she kept me from getting more irritated and understood what it was like to be in my shoes, the young lady st the self storage the same. Don't screw up this ground local part of your organization it seems to be working of course they were apologizing for uhaul proper to be as the customer in their place. Thank you, Douglas Marshall

Jason V.The U-Haul technical system had a major malfunction and the upshot is that U-Haul tied up hundreds of my dollars for days. No one seems to be able to fix the problem. The store employee had to keep calling other people to get help, because U-Haul will not authorize their employees to do manual overrides, for a problem that should have been able to be fixed on the spot.
Lynne W.It took entering my info 6 times to move forward. I was the only person there and in spite of having a reservation, it took almost 45 minutes to leave with a trailer. Trailer was filthy and a lubricant is Some sort was left in the trailer and as my son and I carried in a chair he slipped and injured his groin. We were moving a three bedroom apartment which contains many mattresses so I had to wipe the entire trailer floor down with towels to make sure it was clean and sweep it out. The guy who rented it to me his name is Mike. He was very nice but I feel I'm not sure but I feel he lied when he called me to find out where I was with the trailer even though I had two more hours to go before I needed to turn it in, he lied about sweeping it out because I told him about the oil and that the trailer was filthy and he said that “oh when I swept it I didn't see the oilâ€. The equipment worked well and did what I needed to do, but my wife and I have all the business her own business service business for 25 years if I had to have him and his employee I would fire him in a second or retrain him. I hate to sound so mean about the situation but I think he is a bit lazy these are just my opinion, based In my experience. And when we're talking about a family member getting hurt because someone didn't do their job, And worse yet I feel lied about it in the end, it makes a person passionate about communicating this issue. There you have it!
