We did 7/24 hour pick up. NOWHERE in the instructions or information did it say that you had to be there within 30 minutes of the booking time or the whole process would fail. We spent 45 minutes waiting on customer service to find this out.

We had a very stressful moving experience with Uhaul as a result of multiple gaps in communication, poor customer service and a poorly functioning app, all of which wasted time, resources and money. I implore the Uhaul management team to consider these three essentials for this business to function: - The need for improved customer service, including the very basics of notifying customers when their truck actually won't be available, and proactiveness in conversation on fulfilling customer needs, such as offering alternative locations to rent appliance dollies when one was not included despite being requested in reservation. These were major sources of stress and frustration for us. - The need for information to be consistent regardless of the avenue in which it is being provided - whether it is through an app, online account, website or verbally through customer service - this was a major source of confusion for us. - The need for an improved app that is not fraught with glitches and requires the customer to uninstall and reinstall several times before the app is functioning as intended. I hope this was an isolated incident and that our experience is not repeated for another customer.

Cobourg was the original drop off location but got changed to Port Hope when pick up location got changed. Could not return in Cobourg as the phone app would not allow it. Hours spent on the phone trying to get it changed with no luck. Drove extra kms from Cobourg to Port Hope to return and had to pay extra kms as well as the fuel. Customer service was none existent thru the entire rental.

You need to get your electronic check-in systems to work far better. I could not check out or check in with the app because your website kept crashing mid-process. I LOST 90 minutes of a busy day because I had to wait until Vosburgh's opened and they kindly checked me out. I could not check back in ta the end of the day so I left a voice mail indicating the time I returned the vehicle and the mileage. I also called the Uhaul phone line in the morning when the system kept crashing and all I got was a very long hold so I gave up.

Floor in the cab of truck was covered in mud. The rear box had to be swept out before I could use it. 24/7 pickup and dropoff system is time consuming .

Had to return the truck to where I rented it, causing extra kilometres, 19,95 to rent, and 70 dollars for mileage, and I had it for 3 hours, plus gas, cost me 140 for 3 hours, to expensive in my opinion

It took me nearly an hour to drop the truck off as the rental agreement was for a one way drop in Port Hope, but the online version put the return point as Oshawa again. Customer service online was great, but it took nearly an hour from the time I called, put on hold awaiting a rep, getting everything switched over to allow the drop. Then the App would not allow uploading of pics, so customer service attempted tor rectify and we ended up having to use the online version instead. That allowed me to complete the return. Totally unacceptable the way the rental agreement wasn't properly processed, but the assistance I received to rectify it was great.

I was supposed to pick the van up at diamond detailing. It was not there. Simone could have sent me a message to let me know if the pick up location change. Diamond detailing was a block from my house. The other location required me to get someone to driver me there. Then the moving items I ordered - blankets and dolly were not in the truck but I was charged for them anyway. The truck was clean. Despite the late hour, I was able to pick up. It would have been nice if it wasn't so dark.

Fix the Uhaul "credit" for the 60$ deposit. It was over an hour trying to get it sorted out. They had to call into help desk multiple times. Seems there is an issue with credits on "debit" cards. Wasn't the first time they have had issues. They were friendly and trying to help but seemed like a "system issue".

The vehicle was filthy and when I reported it to the clerk, I was told that U-Haul does not pay them to clean the trucks. I had no choice but to accept a filthy vehicle.

Your system for checking in an checking out is very stressful and does not work at all. The photo verify part would not complete. Luckily for me the local rep showed up at 8 AM and was able to do the check in for me. Very helpful. When I checked it in it was dark after hours and no one around. After over 10 attempts to take your required photo I got on an online live chat with a service rep. I can't begin to tell you how stressful trying to type on a small smartphone in the dark was for me. I am over 60 and while I can use technology, I found that situation most frustrating. The rep told me it was a common problem at that location I do not believe my problem was related to signal strength The photo verification process itself is not realistic in real life conditions. If a check in did not work for a customer, going forward, perhaps you should waive that seemingly redundant verification process and let the local rep verify it the next day, as he had to anyway.

I dropped truck off a day early but half hour after close. Shocked they closed at 5 on a Friday. I tried with no luck doing the online drop off. So then I was charged an extra 20 $fee. I have another truck and a trailer rented for this Friday. I hope I have a better experience.

What a great experience. The staff at Vosburgh's are friendly and knowledgeable. They had a good selection of boxes, packing supplies and even a box-style wardrobe for dress clothes. I will be back the next time a need a moving truck.
