Dont be so hard to work with. Had to drive 40 min away to pick up vehicle, meanwhile...there are 3 uhaul locations right in my town. When i called to get possible switch. Only option was to suggest an even further pick up location!???Also, charged an extra day and 150 miles. This was not by my request, but company's suggested estimation. Called about this and was told that was company policy and because of one way, no refunds/partial credits allowed.

Location and the manager were wonderful I made the reservation online with the help of someone at 1 800 go U-Haul and the truck I reserved wasn't available this is not the first time this has happened I could have rented from another location but I didn't find out until I was almost there and it required to use to make three trips instead of one

Picked up truck from neighborhood dealer. None of the moving equipment offered online like dolly, furniture pads were actually available. Took the truck and filled it with $120 in gasoline and set off. While passing through a highway toll booth the attendant noticed truck was leaking fuel and flagged me down. Pulled over and highway safety worker strongly advised against driving truck. Upon inspection it appeared that someone had cut vapor recovery line on top of gas tank and removed a plug attempting to siphon gasoline from the tank. Called uhaul road side service who ageed with assessment, stating it was a common and unfortunate problem. This was breakdown file # 1582593. Uhaul dispatched help who arrived in about 30 minutes in a passenger car, took a look and concluded that no roadside repair could be made and that truck needed to be towed. About 45 minutes later a wrecker arrived but was unable to secure this 24 foot truck in such a way that it could be towed safely. Tow trucker consulted with uhaul and determined I should drive the truck back to his shop to which I foolishly agreed having now spent several hours on the side of a busy highway. I somehow safely drove the truck back to the garage and the tow driver drove me 45 minutes to the closest neighborhood dealer that had the truck I needed. They gave me the number for corporate to follow up and I left there no less than 5 hours after picking up the first truck, made my move and returned the replacement truck without issue. I called the number provided and got a call back from the regional manager. He asked that I email him documentation of the gas I purchased for the truck that was leaking gas which I did. It has been 10 days with no response, no fuel charge reimbursed, and nothing from uhaul seeking to compensate me for the time lost due to the truck being unfit for road travel nor the potentially dangerous situation they put me in. On rental inspection check that system on top of the gas tank is intact before driving away as uhaul breakdown representative indicated it was a common problem.

The location was locked and there was no indication where to drop truck. Had to ask in Dunkin’ Donuts. Also location was over 10 miles from destination. You guys just know how to make the process of moving even more stressful. Serious consideration should be made to your overall operating model. Also the website is terrible. Hire a high school kid that excels in technology..... it would be a great investment.

We dropped off the truck around 9:30pm, after business hours. The It was impossible to access the parking lot to leave the truck, because there were cars blocking the entrance to the parking lot. In addition, there didn't appear to be ample space to leave a 26' truck even if we could have accessed the parking lot. We left the truck in the parking lot next door. There was also no marked key drop-off box on the outside of the building, which was a building shared with a realty office, only a mail slot on the door. As a result, we decided to hang onto the key until the morning and return it after the office opened, which is what we did. When we returned the key, I stated that there wasn't a marked drop off box, and the U-Haul rep stated that the mail slot is used for that. It would be helpful if that would have been marked as such on the door.

Do not use 660 broadway he doeble books people then if the truck is not there cancels the order after I already payed online. Then he told me that i have to pay again. He also told me i could only have the truck for 6 hours when i reserved it for 24. When I told him we had it for tm24 hours he then continues to only give me 23 hours but I paid for 24 hours. Also we were suppoelsed to bring the truck back by 2pm which we brought it back much earlier. He told us we were late! And when we were in the office another employee recieved a call asking if their truck which was booked for 1pm (the only truck they have) was there. He told the other customers that it came back late. We were not at all happy with this service and will never use uhaul again. Also the truck he owns stinks of cigarettes. And its ghe people in his office that are smothing in it because the same smell was what it smelled like in their office space. Very unhappy and something meeds to be done!

the location was inconvenient i assume because it was trailer. i had to call customer service and complain new burgh quoted the 08085 location was not available for drop off when i dropped a trailer and truck a few times in the past. the u haul website stated a discount for EMT AND AARP which was denied.

I was told by the customer service rep that this location had a 24 hour drop off spot, which was not true. It's a car dealership that blocks the entrance with cars so no one can get in. I was forced to sit in the front seat of the rental truck for 11 hours and wait for the location to open up.

I think that all working for UHaul be educated in what is available and what goes with what and also to not give information unless they are absolutely sure of what they are saying. I have never had a worse experience with Customer Service than I had this past weekend with Uhaul. Rather than get into all of the details again, I'm sure you can simply review the chronological notes in your system to see the rat race that Uhaul led me on beginning on Saturday morning. I was misled regarding the policy on gasoline when I first rented the vehicle and then charged an arm and a leg upon returning it .3 tenths below where it was when I picked it up. This, after waiting all day for a truck to move my entire house's contents. I will NEVER use Uhaul again - for every confirmation email that was sent to me regarding a pickup, I was called back minutes, hours or days later to be told that they couldn't fulfill the confirmation. Outrageous. To be charged $150 dollars for a truck larger than I wanted in the first place, picked up 5 hours later than expected and to be lead on a wild goose chase...no thank you, ever again.
