My contract says I was going to Forked River NJ, where a UHAUL facility if located, but I receive d a text at 11:52am saying I should drop off at 524 Rt 72 in Manahawkin, NJ. I went to that location and was told by the owner I could not leave the truck. after calling UHAUL, i then received a text at 4:26pm that I should drop off the truck at 176 E Bay Ave, Manahawkin, NJ, which is what i did. I now received a notice that I will be charged for extra mileage and extra gas because UHAUL didn't send me the the facility in Forked River. these extra charges are unreasonable and are only the result of UHAUL sending on a much longer trip that needed. I should not be charged for the additional mileage or gas.Joseph B.

This was not the planned drop location. The contract location was closed and this location told me they are not zoned for rentals (working on it) a sign would have been helpful rather than have me sit on the side of a highway on a Sunday morning trying to figure where to go. Man was helpful but ditto on the mask thing. Place is a dump.GARY P.

The truck was smaller then I purchased. The employee was rude. And my truck was not ready at time of pickup. And charged me more then I was told. Would like a refund.JOSEPH S.

Both the pick-up and drop-off locations were wrong. When i went to the pick-up location, no one there. When i called , i was told, we are not there , and was giving a different pick-up location. When i went drop-location, i was told ,we are not u-haul location anymore. Had to drive an extra 5 miles to a different location and was charged for the miles, causing me to be 2 hrs late for an appointment.VITTORIO P.

The truck was clean BUT there was NO Ramp and it made it hard to load the furniture. The place had no blanket to cover the furniture so I had to get some towels and old blankets from home. There were no straps to secure the furniture-luckily my mover had one. The applicable dolly we did rent had a shirt belt in it but no clamp so we had to tie a knot in the belt to secure the item. I rate it a 4-5. I was able to get a truck.Susan H.
The drop off location manager was beyond helpful. Answered the call and even took our number if needed for q callback. I would not use UHAUL again due to our experience at pickup and van itself but Wanna Window exceeded in customer service.Julio V.

The staff was extremely helpful. After I placed my request and received a quote, I did not know that I had to wait for a confirmation that the van was available. That tried several locations however they were not able to find anything since we were doing one way. They called us back about 30 minutes later to let us know that they had a cancellation. We were extremely happy since we had traveled close to 100 miles. ðŸ˜ŠðŸ'ðŸ'Maria D.

Had to drive 112 miles to pick up our truck here after U-Haul cancelled on us the day before at the original pick up location just down the street from us No explanation, just cancelled and told us if we wanted a truck, this was the option. U-Haul had us over a barrel. Will go wish Budget next time.Paul F.

No one is answering my dispute regarding the overall horrible experience we had getting a hitch we needed in order to rent a trailer. Due to their lack of customer service I couldn't get a trailer but had to rent an expensive truck. The engine needs oil change light was on the moment I started the vehicle and stayed on the entire move. Also, your billing practices are deceptive. When I saw the 386,80 $ charge for a 3 day van rental, I was very surprised. I only drove 558 total miles round trip and returned the van to the same renting location. I believe 386,80 $ is an outrageous charge for such a small vehicle for theee days. I do not plan to rent from U Haul again with your deceptive pricing practices.james M.

This location was after first day was lost to previous customer not returning truck on time. Vince stayed late with me waiting for customer. After 90 minutes past his closing time, he gave me his cell and said he'd come back if customer showed up. Customer didn't show. Vince sent me a message at 7:30 AM saying truck was ready for me. He went in early to get it ready. So location and Vince are great. Regional manager Susan also did her best to get customer to return truck. So people who work at Uhaul go above and beyond. Uhaul as a company should develop a better truck management system and automatically notify you if your reservation is not going to be available before making you drive 75 miles to pick up truck.John D.

Contact me multiple ways (until you reach me) when you are changing the location and equipment from what I reserved. We had to travel 45 minutes further in BOTH directions AND the truck was a 15 ft instead of a 20 ft truck - and we only found out when WE CALLED to confirm. There's a record (according to the UHAUL rep at your call center) which states they e-mailed us to notify of the change - but they could not produce a forward of that e-mail with the date stamp it was sent. Had we not called, we would be scrambling on the DAY OF OUR MOVE! Also the initial pickup contact location in Jackson was very curt and seemed uncaring that he had no records of our reservation change. He should have been notified that there was a change and pointed us to that, rather than saying "I don't have anything under your name - call 800-UHAUL"...MICHAEL P.

You can not call them on three different occassions changing location for pick up then to go to get the truck and they send you to another location that you just passed 15 miles or so away. You can not overcharge them so that they don't have to call and have it corrected at their bank. You can remove the added equipment that they don't want to use, but is in the way, and if they move it they will be charged fees.MARGARETE T.
I would suggest not using u- haul at all. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I could not make an appointment more than a week ahead of time and could not be guaranteed a pick up location although I was assured an alternate would not be more than 6-10 mi away. It ended up being 40 miles away and added 80 miles and an extra 1 1/2 hrs of my time.LINDA W.

we were supposed to pick it up at a different location that was much closer and got less that 8 hours notice of the change - had to drive 35 more miles to pick upSTEVEN D.
The facility where I picked the truck up from was accessible and the truck was in great condition/clean. The customer service and scheduling from U-Haul was terrible. I was told my original reservation could not be fulfilled and was sent to another location about an hour away and for a time slot 7 hours later. When I arrived at the new pick up location, I was told there were not any trucks available. The gentleman at this facility told me to try another location "down the road". This location also did not have any vehicles available. I called U-Haul, and the customer service rep on the phone was not accommodating or understanding. After some time on the phone we came to the conclusion that my original pick up location did in fact have my vehicle available. This entire process was beyond inconvenient and cost me my time extra money to compensate my moving help.David G.
