Great communication skills, swept out the van when I realized how dirty it was, kind, professional, explained technicalities well. The vehicle was extremely dirty and smelled bad though, which is U-Haul's fault.

JOSH WYENI was charged for a dolly that I did not receive. We had to move down four flights with no dolly… I spoke w the cashier and she assured me the charge would be removed. It was not.
Adelita GonzalesUsed to UHaul app to speed up the rental process. The app required that I take a photo of the mileage and gas before it gave the OK for getting the key. The van was locked and requires the ignition to be on to get mileage and gas tank readings. I went inside the location to get help, and the person behind the counter was confused about the issue and could not resolve it, so after more than ten minutes of looking confused, got my driver's license and phone (to look at the app), then just gave me the key. This resulted in a very long wait to get into the van, and ended up making the process take much longer than if I had just reserved the truck online and picked it up without using the app. So two issues here--there needs to be some sort of fix so app users can fulfill the app requirements without human assistance (or why use the app?), and personnel at pick-up locations needs to be trained better so troubleshooting is not such a laborious process.

MICHAEL LEVITCHPros: Location: - Decent and easy-to-access location. - Despite being ESL, the staff were well informed and could answer my questions. They were extremely thorough when reviewing documentation and reviewed what was available on-site and what was not. In addition, the staff were willing to extend my vehicle usage to suit my needs. How they handled everything definitely stood out as well-versed, especially considering their main role here is gas station attendance. Overall, I'm seriously impressed and thought they did an excellent job. - Van: - Had a reverse cam found on the mirror itself. It does not appear unless reversed. - Mirrors could be adjusted by using the mini nob on the side. - As a non-driver with a driver's license, I needed my friend to explain how the parking brake works in the van. Once I got everything rolling, the van provided a much smoother ride than expected. Very easy to operate, although I couldn't figure out how to activate the emergency flashers. - CONs This is more of a complaint of the U-haul website itself, but the site needs to do a better inventory of what products are in-house and what aren't. I was able to obtain a dolly from a neighbor, but it's disappointing expecting to reserve equipment only to find out it may not be available. At least on the site, state that some items may not be available when dealing with smaller U-haul vendors. - The van did have a slight pull to the right, so there's some correcting that's required on the driver's side. I can't speculate how much, but it seems there's a 15-degree pull for every 60 ft. - While the reverse camera was a welcomed addition, there were some unusual white-balance issues when attempting to reverse, as the bright areas appeared too white, and the shadow areas appeared too dark. The reverse cam also did not have guides to help gauge the width of the vehicle. This is still a minor complaint, and a reverse cam is better than none. -There was a bit of a used diaper smell in the van. but it was faint.

The mirrors are very difficult to see out and spot mirrors cannot be adjusted which makes changing lanes very difficult. I drive an F350 normally that has much better mirrors, and am comfortable driving larger vehicles.

Ken LyThe van was extremely dirty and sticky on the floor, the staff was refused to switch another van, but only provided two cardboards (from recycling bin) to put on the floor, and her attitude was not friendly, "take it or cancel reservation" she said! Please clean the car before give it to customer!
Julia ZuoI was overcharged..I did not ask for insurance and i was not asked. When I heard the price the attendant did not know how to delete it. I had to go. It was not my choice, attendant did not offer a solution after minutes waiting. Even with the insurance, the bill did not add up.

Samuel VerdicktThe van had a service engine oil light on upon pickup and had over 6 400 miles. I really recommend them to change the oil because the motor sounded strange which means its low on oil and needs to have its first oil change done
Dino RamicStaff was fast, friendly, and welcoming. It's a 76 brand gas station with convenience shopping. That being said, I was attended to immediately and was on my way within 10 minutes. I will rent U-Haul at this location again.

The tow number still written on the windshield, completely covered in dirt, unable to see out of windows. The interior was as though someone had been LIVING inside the vehicle. Cigarette cartons, cigarettes, ash, garbage, trash, food particles, silverware, plastic material, dead plants, dirt all over the seats and floors. No gas. It was AWFUL and wreaked of cigarettes. Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!

Jacqueline RichardsI was overcharged over $100 for 13 gallons of gas. When I returned the truck no one came to check gas level with me. A quarter tank of gas was used and I got charged for 3/4 tank of gas. The service was awful, I went to my appointment to pick up the van and it wasn't there I had to wait for them to call me to let me know when it would be available. Their iPad to the U-Haul program was faulty because of poor Internet connection it took a long time to register. No one explained the process of checking in and checking out, no one went out to show me the car how to open it how to lock it give it a once over with me to and sign documents to show that it was in good condition. There was no human checks and balances to protect me from fraudulent charges. This is a scam and they are overcharging me for gas that I didn't use. I will be writing more bad reviews on social media, yelp, and the Better Business Bureau. I feel like I just deleted the photo I took of the gas level before I dropped off the car and I can't retrieve it. I just noticed the extra charge. Very shady practice and this site has too many businesses going on at one time to manage U-Haul properly. They have a market place, they have a sushi restaurant, they now added Boba, a gas station to manage and a U-Haul. All with two employees and only one who understands the U-Haul process and that is not saying much for the service I received.

I brought the van back early because the engine light was on and it made me nervous to keep driving. The gal at the counter did not seem to understand what it meant that the engine light was on.
Beverly WagstaffA glitch in the phone app required me to be on voice to reconfirm my ID and that added 45+ minutes to my pick up time. The counter clerk was very patient as well as me and she was very helpful in my getting the rental. For future, a res manager should be on site.
Arthur BlazquezThe applications that are used for check-in & check-out should be updated to allow the cashier better problem-solving alternatives. During my check-in process the previous customer did not check-out correctly and it was preventing them from being able to properly check the vehicle out for me. It took about 45 min to complete the transaction. The cashier was courteous and communicative but, was working with systems that didn't weren't supportive for the worker.
