The truck was filthy, seats torn. The "tow/haul" button continually went on. I was charged for 4 GALLONS of gas. I only drove 12 miles. That was most definitely an overcharge.

henzxaven T.the only thing nice i can say is the pick up was smooth. nice older gentleman. truck itself, over 140 000 miles ran rough, wasn't clean and smelled. but all that ok. dropoff was horrendous. another guy, unshaven smelled like he hadn't had a bath in a week and simply grunted. refused to check me out, told me he "...i have it covered..." and said he'd send receipt via email. I said I wasn't in a rush, please check me out. again he refused. keep in mind I am the only customer, no one in the parking lot, etc. after a bit more grunting i left. no surprise, the guy added over $50 in charges including "safe trip" coverage I didn't ask for, and not one, but two handtrucks. criminal. I have reported to this business to the BBB and plan to file a suit in small claims court.

Steven C.They could not explain anything to me and the process took 40 mins because of his lack of knowledge. He gave me the keys and told me the number of the truck. I spent 10 mins looking for it and neglected to mention there was a down back. Plus, I rented a dolly and after checking the Uhal I had to go back to the store to get one.

The oil light came on as soon as I started driving. I don't know why U-Haul moved my pickup request to this site when there was a huge U-Haul site 1/2 mile away.
Raymond O.Try not charging gas at essentially a gallon per mile. I was charged $39 for a 43 mile trip. The gas gauge is antiquated and hard to read. The truck had more or less a half tank on pick up-precluding an honest fill up on return. The truck was showing every bit of it s 100k+ miles.

I was told one price and the time I had to get it back by and I do so and I'm charged more than double the amount and I even brought it back cleaner and with more gas. I will never use you guys again and will recommend anyone who ever ask again to use the local companies who give you movers for the same price you guys charged me. I was charged 2 times the rental rate and insurance for delivering the truck within the same day, but an hour and half later than expected. I was told if I said I was going to have the truck for a full 24 hour period, there would be no late charge under these circumstances. This is smoke and mirrors, and "gotcha" deceptive business terms and I am very upset about it. I will be filing a complaint with my Attorney General's office.

Emily K.I booked a truck for 4 hours, needed to extend so I called to ask. Guy I spoke to said, yeah no problem. We'll extend til 7pm. When I returned it at 6pm I was told I was being charged a whole 2nd day. With no explanation except that I should have just rented it for the whole day. If he had told me I'd be charged for a 2nd day, I would have made so and returned the truck. So I expected to pay $30. Paid $62! So pissed. Never using uhaul again!

But UHaul charged me $7 for a utility dolly that I didn't receive or order and $10 extra for the truck. The Shell station was great to work with and the workers were great.

Suzanne G.I was told I could pick up the U Haul at 7am no one was there the gas station was closed waited 15 minutes then got a call they would be there in 30 minutes I had a time frame to move in to a apartment in Baltimore we missed over one hour being able to use the elevator and was not able to move all of our belongings in on Saturday. The Shell station would not even take anything off my bill. Very dissatisfied.

JASMIN V.The man at the pick up location was friendly but clearly overwhelmed by the amount of people he had to service at the time we dropped off the vehicle. The location was a shell gas station with no clear indication of where to take the vehicle for dropping off and there was absolutely NO place to park the vehicle while we ran inside to ask where to go. There was another vehicle being dropped off at the same time as well as people in line to pay for gas and buy cigarettes so the man who was working the register seemed frazzled and overwhelmed by everything he had to do. He asked me my name more than five times because he couldn't understand me or find my reservation. While it all got figured out in the end and he was very friendly and maintained a good attitude despite the stress level he was under - I would not want to use this location again to return a vehicle….especially when there is a brand new location on West street in Annapolis, Maryland not more than a mile away from this one. For some reason, your online reservation system would not allow me to choose that new location on West street as a choice for dropping the vehicle on the return end. I was very frustrated when trying to choose that new location online knowing the other drop off location is less than ideal. But overall, we had a very good experience and were pleased with the truck as well as the pick up location in Springfield, Virginia.
