Picking up the equipment went OK; however, the trailer that was assigned to me was partially blocked by another Uhaul truck, preventing hookup to my vehicle. That particular trailer was also covered in black grime, was very old, and was missing several running lights. The male employee offered to get a skid steer to move the trailer to a better position for hitching, but I told him I preferred the other cleaner trailer anyway, which was much more easily accessible, and it had running lights and looked newer and in much better condition. The male employee said I was not allowed to switch trailers, and he went off to get the skid steer. I called Kenna in the office at this location to explain that the other trailer was much older and beat up and it was missing running lights, and I preferred the newer trailer because it had running lights which I needed for night time towing and was in much better condition. She said it was available and involved a simple two second switch on the computer, and she switched the equipment and was very polite about it. The male employee returned and was annoyed about going to get the skid steer while I switched trailers with Kenna. However, in brutal cold temperatures (5 degrees), he hooked up the newer trailer to my vehicle professionally and efficiently and did a great job. However, upon using the trailer that evening, the interior had not been swept out or mopped clean (as is normal other Uhaul locations). There were small amounts of sand leaves and grime on the floor of the interior of the trailer. Upon return the next day, I arrived 3 hours before my scheduled Uhaul equipment return time, and the same male employee from the previous day was right where I needed to park and unhitch. He did not greet me or offer to unhitch the the uhaul trailer and walked away. I went into the office, and that same male employee was also in there with Kenna. Kenna was polite acknowledged my return verbally, and supposedly checked my trailer in as returned and confirmed my email address so that I would receive a final receipt, and she said I was all set. She indicated the male employee (I can't remember his name) would unhitch the trailer and I could be on my way. The male employee made a very sarcastic remark about having to get the skid steer while I switched trailers on him the previous day. Nevertheless, we walked out of the office together, and I gave the same male employee $10 as a thank you for hitching the Uhaul the previous day in such cold temperatures, and for the work of unhitching me. He took the $10 put it in his pocket and said thanks. He was professional and efficient and completed the job perfectly. I have used other Uhaul dealers many times in the same area over many years, and normally you receive an email receipt with a final bill within minutes of returning the Uhaul equipment. Two hours went by, and I never received a receipt. So I called Kenna because this location closes at 5PM, and they are closed over the weekend, and so I was concerned that I might be billed for the entire weekend, if I had not been properly closed out. Kenna explained that the man who had helped me had not checked me out yet because he was busy with other tasks, but she assured me that he would check me out of the system soon, and that I would receive a final email receipt and closeout by 5PM at the latest. Well, by 5:30 PM, I had not received any receipt, and my account still did not show that I had returned the Uhaul trailer, and the office for this location was now closed for the weekend. I called Uhaul and the representative confirmed the equipment had not been completely checked in and closed out yet but that it definitely would be. I did not want to take any chances, so I asked for a supervisor; and I just happened to be connected with Mike Gaines, area field manager. Mr. Gaines was professional, responsive, and efficient, and he apologized for any inconvenience and explained there was nothing to worry about and he proceeded to close the rental without additional charges and I immediately received my email receipt.Charles T.

I made my reservation for the 26 ft truck approximately 3 to 4 weeks ahead of my pickup date I had secured a plane ticket to fly back to Bozeman Montana to pick it up got there and with two days notice they told me there was no trucks available I also had movers coming in that next day I was told I had to go to Livingston approximately 30 miles away to pick up another U-Haul at after 4:30 when a customer was returning it went over no truck had to go back to Bozeman come back the next day to pick up the truck after the customer brought it back extremely extremely frustrating only received a $50 consideration I think that U-Haul needs to review their policy on how soon you need to get a hold of customers before they moveHal R.

Don't take reservations unless truck is available. I reserved for Bozeman but had to pick up in Livingston!Glen R.
Make sure trailer lights are operating properly before renting out. I went through light check with the employee but two blocks away when I hit my brakes it set off a dash warning. Right brake/tail/hazard was not operating.Cameo A.

We called head and informed the location we were on the Interstate and would be there shortly. Upon arrival they had a fellow (Brad) assist us with unloading our vehicle and disconnecting the tow dolly. Further this employee even suggested using a auto carrier in the future as it is easier to load and unload. Exceptional service.James M.

The uhaul app wouldn't work for me to take a photo for when I returned the uhaul after hours. I tried multiple times to take one and upload it and it never worked. I do have photos if needed. It was handy to be able to drop it off after hours though. It was just the app not working. All other parts of the whole experience was excellent though.Jacalynn P.

First time doing a self drop off so I understand it not being staffed as much. I dropped the trailer off in very dangerous wind conditions. Called ahead of time to make sure someone would be there. By the time I arrived I was so ready to be done with the trailer on high wind I did the turn in myself. No one came to help. No one seemed to be at the business. Thank goodness the trailer is easy to attach and disconnect from your vehicle.PATRICK M.

When a customer is promised an enclosed trailer and due to no fault of their ownâ€¦they show up on time to have and a hitch installed. (No estimate was given for hitch) When they were told they have the wrong hitch, come back tomorrow. This location is a towing company as well. Their yard is quite full and the trailer I was returning was the only U-Haul I saw there. They were very helpful and apparently came in on a day off to receive my trailer. I was unannounced as my original drop-off location was in Bozeman not Livingston.WILLIAM O.
Wonderful experience at Whistler renting the U-Haul. They made the process very easy. They were so helpful because they had a guy stay after hours for me to return the trailer. I very much appreciated it because I had a short trip to make. This was by far the beat Uhaul experience I've had.HEATHER B.

Phone in Uhaul was a complete disaster. Was supposed to be an on line check in but they set it up as in person. Had to spend an hour on the phone to get it straightened out. Still we could not an photos uploaded.Bruce C.
The Whistler Towing place was great. However, this is not were I originally chose to pick up my trailer and it was the wrong day to pick up my trailer. The U-Haul employee that called me two days before and told me I had to drive further and a day earlier was not a good communicator and did not seem to care if that pick-up time/place worked for me.MIKAYLA W.
