I rented the truck based on where i needed to pick up the couch. I had selected a different drop off location closer to my final destination was and after i paid i was told i had to being it back to the original location and needed up paying far more than i planned.

Location did not allow me to park personal vehicle while using rental truck. They had the available space for personal vehicle parking. There no way in hell, I would recommend this location to my friends. Unprofessional and sorry location.

The person in front desk was un helpful and he looked like he doesn't want to go out and help the costumer...when we am him to go out and show us the different between the trucks..he didn't come outside and explain to us what's the different between the truck and what the right truck to rent...I would not recommend any one to go to this place because the bad costumer service

The truck ran fine and was clean. Extra equipment ordered online (6 furniture pads) was not provided. When I dropped off the truck I informed them of the missing pads and they said they would take care of it. They did not, and I was charged for six missing pads in addition to the rental fee. A call to U-Haul's customer service resolved the issue and I received a refund.

While uhaul deserves good reviews based on the questions asked above, there were a number of big issues that should be addressed: 1) I signed up for contactless pickup. Apparently that doesn't exist at this location. 2) I reserved blankets and a dolly. Neither were available. This is a huge issue. Uhaul should not advertise that they have essential moving supplies available and lead customers to believe those items are accessible for their move, I'd they can't fulfill their end of the agreement. Luckily, I was able to rent a dolly from Home Depot, but my move wouldn't have been possible if I couldn't have done that.

The service representative did not provide me with the truck I asked for, instead I was provided with a shorter truck and could not take it one way like I had requested. Also, I asked for 3 pieces of equipment and I was only provided one, which was a piece I didn't even ask for it. Overall, I would avoid u haul and this location.

I'm glad I got this servay I been really wanted to contact for the manager in this location if the manager exists in this location really this is my second time getting rental truck in one month for my business but u got horrible, horrible, horrible Customer service the guy front desk rasta guy got ugly attitude like a woman very unprofessional very unhelpful, u can read in his face how he hates his job and his customers. I hate to see his face and to come to the location just because of his attitude!! He really needs a break and training so bad. I mean it i hate to come and to talk to him on the phone even. Ridiculous!!!!

I am not satisfied by the dishonest tactics of this particular franchise. to which I experienced on yesterday. First, the vehicle was not filled with gas. Having brought this matter to the the clerk's attention, he so acknowledged. I was instructed to return the vehicle to a certain spot. Problem is, the spot is on an incline that makes the fuel gas gauge to appear that you have consumed more fuel that in actuality. This too was brought to their attention. Regardless, this led to additional charges including an 'Environmental Fee, Gas Fee, and some other associated fee upon my reading of my receipt online later that evening . The rental vehicle was driven for a total of 19 miles over a period of one (1) hour, yet I was charged for a quarter tank of fuel. I would not recommend thjs particular (Alexandria, VA) location to any other person. .. and I will not be doing any future business with it.

The equipment was disgusting, with trash, leaves and dust all over the cab and back. I ordered two dollys-neither were available. I told the rep that I reserved them and he said “that means nothing, they'll let you reserve anything-we don't even carry those or furniture pads (which I also ordered). Not having the dollys made my move take much longer and I had to pay $100 for additional help as my move was on a strict timeline. The issue was partially with the place I picked up the truck, but just as much with uhaul.com as they don't verify that ancillary equipment is available. Also, it took 45 minutes to pick up the truck, despite checking in previously. This was a very disappointing experience.

17 foot truck. Truck was leaking and my boxes got wet because it was a rainy day. The loader used the blankets to wipe the water puddles as it was leaking pretty heavy from the roof! The steering wheel was really lousy and it was really dangerous to drive in the rain. It felt loose and the vehicle was going left and right. They probably never did inspection. It's life threatening to drive something like that. At night when I started driving I noticed dashboard lights were off! This is ridiculous tried every button but it didn't turn on nor the rear break lights I literally had to drive and guess my speed. Drove back 1 hour at night to return the truck without any dashboard light! I also rented a furniture dolly which wasn't there! This is just ridiculous! When people move their schedule is pretty tight. There is no going back! Stay away from them! Get truck from budget rental. Had good experience with them in the past. I don't know if I should blame uhaul or the rental location. Not sure who was supposed to do inspection!

One representative told me the day before I could park in that area and the next day when I picked up the truck they said was not possible. I thought the dollies were going to be already in the truck since I was doing a mobile check in but that wasn't the case.

Sometimes parking on the street is tough to find. Try to have someone bring you to the facility and drop you off so you don't have to worry. They did work with me though when the side streets were packed with cars and there were no open spaces.

Website allowed me to order for online pickup before the store opened but the day of I had to wait until the store opened to get my rental. The Uhaul rep got to the store 15 minutes after the store opened. I ordered furniture pads and a furniture dolly and neither were available at the store.

The sales rep was very rude in my opinion. For ex: I elected to pick up the truck at the counter. I presented my DL and CC and the person insisted that I do that digitally on my phone. Secondly, he asked me how many miles do I expect to drive. I had not clue to that question & suggested how come this question was not part of the rental portion during booking & suggested that he talk the corporate to have this question as part of the booking process. To that he got very arrogant and definitely I would suggest this person get more training on how to treat his customers!

Emergency layer wqs rude and unhelpful Reserved a appliance dolly and not available when I arrived. I asked if he could check if a nearby location had one. He said they are all closed. I found a nearby location open for another 4 hours. Terrible attitude and customer service.

This experience was HORRIBLE and it had absolutely NOTHING to do with the location, it is all on the U-Haul side of this. I made my reservation with U-haul a week before my move date and intentionally selected to do 24/7 pick-up to provide myself time to load up the trailer without a rush. I double-checked the reservation the morning of my move and everything seemed in order (even checked the receipt of my reservation which had all of the details). I showed up at the time indicated in my confirmation e-mail (7 am) and when I clicked "Pick-up my truck" the text told me that I had selected in-person pick-up. This was frustrating but manageable. I decided to contact the 1800 number to contact customer service to be sure that the truck was reserved (which I suddenly doubted because of the issues that suddenly arose with the reservation). The phone call with Customer service was one of the most upsetting and aggravating calls I have been on it a long time! It was a 40 min call, in which I spent probably 30mins on hold trying to resolve an issue that should not have been hard to confirm or deny given I made the reservation, had a contract saying that a truck had been reserved. The representatives claimed that I did not have the reservation and I may have to go to another location to reserve a truck. I was told there was an option for a $50 guarantee that could be granted to my account. However, I needed to ACTUALLY MOVE that day and couldn't wait. I went to the location and was able to get the truck, at a larger rate because I was considered a walk-in. My experience has been extremely discouraging, and in future moves, I will be considering other options and providing a review of my experience. At a minimum, I would like to be refunded $50 to match the guarantee your customer service member mentioned, however, it is driving me insane that I had to pay to use a service where customer service was a secondary option, and that a small location provided better service than your large organization! I will spend significant time finding an alternative to U-Haul in the future because of my experience, and if you do not believe any part of my accounts I have e-mails, and screenshots of my experience! If I could I would give 0-stars!

Things I wish I would have known before I decided to rent a Uhaul here: The dollies are not guaranteed, even if you reserve them a month in advance, you may end up having to load the truck one box at a time and carrying furniture yourself (like we did). Also, if you drive to pick up the truck, you'll have to park your car in the street, since there's no parking at this location. The are around is full of apartment complexes so, I was “lucky” to find street parking 3 blocks away. Lots of fun on a rainy day like today. No issues with the truck itself.

Gas Tank was not on Full, so I had to pay for someone else's gas. Uhaul said I could pick up my truck at 7:00AM and confirmed my pick up time, but I had to wait until 8:00AM when the location opened to start my mobile 24/7 service, which also took over 39minutes. Ultimately delaying my move by over 1.5hours .would not recommend.

Hi, the morning manager doesn't smile he was very strict, the truck was not clean , and the engine is so loud. I brought the truck back one hour before the time. The aftetnoon manager was very nice he called my name when i arrived, and gave me and my wife a cold water, he is smilling, he is super nice than the morning manager. Thank you

I had made a reservation and asked for a dolly. When I arrived, they didn't have any dollys or anything similar. If you don't have the items that a person reserves, at least let me know so I can plan ahead or reserve somewhere else.

The truck has issues the with brakes and accelerator which made it somewhat anxiety inducing to drive. The primary problem was that the requested additional equipment was not included, apparently (according to the guy there) due to UHaul not providing them because of COVID. Generally that's fine, but it should be indicated that the equipment are not an option and prevent user selection of those items.

The attendant was wearing a mask when talking to us at the counter, but then not wearing a mask when he came back from bringing the van around. I understand he was alone, but that means he was in the vehicle without a mask that we were about to get into. He was very polite and I have no complaints other than safety should be consistent throughout the entire process. I understand this is new for all of us. Just feedback for future renters. Thanks!
