This location is very dangerous. There are people hanging out and drinking and loitering near the trucks in the parking lot and near the store entrance It is not safe in day and especially at night because the area is dark and unsupervised.

Store is a little under-attractive and run down BUT perhaps new management (as they say they have) can improve that. Predominantly black neighborhood clientele and kind of a run down area: some people may be intimidated by it. However we found staff and owner very friendly and the people in the area fine; no hassles and very good service from the store.

I waited almost an hour at this location to get the truck. I was first told that the truck I rented was also rented to someone else. When I finally do get the truck it was nasty/dirty. I have photos if you want to see them. Driving the truck wasn’t much better it need a tune up and seems like the trans may be going out. I will definitely consider using U-Haul again

The truck was littered with trash and cigarette butts both in the cab and in the trailer. It was not the truck I ordered. I was downsized less than a day before a cross-country move and had to leave a lot of stuff behind. The radio/sound system did not work at all. I had to drive 16 hours in silence. The truck drove very poorly and took about six full tanks of gas to go 900 miles. I was very disappointed.

The manager was helpful and nice. The equipment had drywall debris EVERYWHERE. BAD neighborhood. 24/7 left me standing outside for close to two hours. Finally the manager just gave me the keys.

Ok so I want to start by saying I’ve never felt the need to write a review before but this time I can’t stop myself. This isn’t about this location as it is about U-Haul as a whole. Unfortunately, U-Haul doesn’t allow you to write generic reviews just specific locations. Makes you think they’re trying to hide something. I had made a reservation a couple weeks in advance to my moving date for 17 foot truck for 24 hours. Received an initial email stating that everything was set up for pick up but that this location was just a preference and based on availability this could change. Ok, atleast they gave me a heads up on that one. So, a week before my move date I received another email stating “We have a 17' Moving Van and Furniture Pads reserved for you and guaranteed Friday, 5/31/2019 at 3:00 PM, returning Saturday, 6/1/2019 at 3:00 PM.” No big deal you gave me enough time ahead to make adjustments around this. Yes it’s an inconvenience but I was given timely notice and it says it’s guaranteed to be there. So let’s fast forward to the move date. I am just getting in my car to go pick up the truck as I receive a phone call from U-Haul telling me that not only can I not get the size truck that booked but I also have to go to a completely different pick up location 20 miles from where I am to get this. And because I have an in town move I have to return this at the same location and will not be given any type of discount for the inconvenience. I would have canceled the booking if I didn’t have to be out of my apartment by that night. I called the following day to try and atleast get my drop off location changed. I figured this would be the least they could offer especially with charging $1.50 per mile you drive plus gas. I was transferred to every state but Illinois and was told by every representative I spoke with that I can only be helped by an Illinois rep but I kept getting transferred to other states. This went on for 1 1/2 hours. Then I finally get a hold of someone who could help me but they tell me there is nothing they can do. I ask for a supervisor and they tell me they are the supervisor. I ask well what are we going to do about this issue and again I’m told “there is nothing that could be done. If you didn’t want to pay that you shouldn’t have picked up the truck” I ask is this how U-haul conducts business and she goes “no but we’re busy”. How is that a valid response? So in short U-Haul doesn’t care about its customers they know you are going to take the truck when they change everything on you last minute because you won’t have any other options. This is a horrible company with a complete lack of respect for their customer
