the representative at this location was extremely rude and had no customer service skills at all, he does not even say hello, and when I greeted him he did not even respond, he made me feel that I am bothering him the entire time I was there to pick up the uhaul truck, which he was not there and I had to wait nearly 45 minutes for him to arrive... why would a company like uhaul hire such incompetent workers ??!!!!!!!

Operator does not understand your online system. Pick-up was paid for and on-line check-in. It should have taken 5 minutes to pick-up truck but instead, took 45 minutes once the operator figured out what to do.

The location was in a poor part of town, narrow streets, no helpful signage for return. Had to look into a couple of places for someone to receive the truck. The employee did not check me in or look at the truck or check the gas gauge to make sure I returned the truck with the same amount of gas when I left Greeley, CO. It was painless but weird.

Owner called and I could not answer. No identification or message to inform me who or what company called. I returned his call to be told there is no way he possibly coule have called. Until I said who I was and that I had his equipment. I was told there were two separate charges for the late fee since I have two pieces of equipment, but couldn't tell me how much. Called the manager this morning and he was at the shop at 9:45am to assist me. No sign or directions as to where the truck and trailer needed to be returned. Had to assume I was correct and hope I didn't have to eat any more “hazard charges”.

This dude is one of the rudest and most disrespectful human beings I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. He talked to me like I was a child when verifying my order, insulted me every single time I spoke, and treated me like an idiot for asking for simple clarification on the charges on my receipt. He said to me, "Did you go to college?" at one point, as well as, "Do you speak good English?" which was baffling and uncalled for. The absolute most unprofessional person I've ever encountered in any authoritative role, and he should be fired immediately. My only regret is not getting his name so I could file a more thorough complaint, but I could not stomach being in his presence long enough to ask for it. Totally Inexcusable. I will never rent from U-Haul as long as I live if this is the kind of scum they hire who think it's alright to treat customers in such a blatantly insulting fashion.

I made a reservation for a trailer in my town. When I arrived, I was told I was 'not in his system' and sent to another town 25 miles away to pick up the trailer. And I was told that the trailer in the original pick up was rented out between the two days I made the reservation and pick up date. This is the last time I will do any business with U Haul

Original equipment left turning signal light not working. Had to replace out equipment. Took almost an hour to complete transaction. Uhaul also tried to move my pickup time to 3PM (originally scheduled for 10AM). Totally unsatisfactory uhaul experience.

Modernize the printer and computer I had to wait 45 min to have them print a contract then it failed and he had to start all over and do one by hand. I asked to use the bathroom and was denied. Never again. However the trailer I rented was fine and the drop off location was fine

I just thought the warehouse was creepy and I'm glad I wasn't alone. It would have been more convenient to get what I needed at a closer place. I considered myself VERY lucky!!!! And, I do appreciate all that went into making THAT possible and I thank you for THAT!!!!

I requested pickup in Northboro, 1mi from my house at a location I knew and trusted. You called me a day before and told me to go to a different location 30mi away in a very rough part of town where I was greeted by a single man in a room with barely a sign outside. I would love an explanation for that one. Plus, he did not have the pads or dolly that I ordered and paid for. And to be clear, I'm not upset with the guy I picked up from, I'm upset with Uhaul for sending me there in the first place when I would have never chosen that location for myself.

We made our reservation 6 weeks in advance of an interstate move. The day before, we were told that our truck was only available 30 minutes after our requested time at a location 30 minutes away from our requested location. We arrived at that location on the day of our move, and there was no truck. So, they sent us a further hour away to this location in Worcester. It's not an office, exactly. Rather, it is a parking lot and locked self-storage with a phone number on the side of a building. Fortunately, the man on the other end of the phone number was available and helpful, though Uhaul had not made him aware of our reservation. Once he arrived and let us into his office, the process of acquiring the rental contact took well over an hour. As we had traveled 1.5 hours to get there, this put us about 5 hours behind schedule, which was incredibly expensive, as we had hired movers based on our confirmed rental time and location. As of the time of these comments, Uhaul has not reimbursed the cost of the movers waiting for us to return with a truck or the gas required to drive the truck 1.5 hours back from this location.

Places to park trailers/trucks limited and a little confusing knowing where to go to turn trailer in, i.e., the entrance door is across the street from parking area and only identified as Worcester Self Storage. Nothing other than parked trailers/trucks gives you any indication that door is for uHaul. A sign on the door or somewhere at the entrance would be helpful.

The location is hard to find , no parking, and the truck was old, poor gas mileage, very uncomfortable for a 1800 mile trip! The experience was not a good one , for a one way trip from Massachusetts to Texas where we paid over 1700$ should have had a newer truck . We made out reservations well in advance of out pick up day to allow time for uhaul to provide a decent vehicle,.

The guy was angry we were bringing back on a sunday because he would not be there. His conputer froze three times and he had me paper sign, then called me 20 min later to tell me he needed my card AGAIN or we stole the truck. He proceeded to call five more times for the card number five times. He then supposedly set up a drop off location at belmont st with no additional charge, which no one seemed to know about. Ill never ever use this company again every single person was super rude and unprofessional.

Uhaul has had the worst customer service, regional management, and traffic management. Will do my best to dissuade anyone from using uhaul in the future. I have tried to talk with Jorge and Will in the Boston area but no response other than "we can't do anything".

The guy running it was rude and crass almost the entire time. Any questions or inquiries about trucks were met with rude responses. While we were there, he hung up on a customer asking for assistance for possible truck sizes.

The U-Haul office and the Key-dropoff box was across the street from the lot where I had to drop off the truck, it was dark out and the lighting conditions for the area were very poor. It took me half an hour and a phone call to U-Haul to finally "notice" that the key drop off box was across the street.

Located in old industrial area of Worcester if that doesn't bother you the location is fairly convenient. The truck was in good condition the staff working there was quick and helpful. I was in and out in about 5 minutes.

I made my reservation for a certain location and requested certain equipment. My reservation went through without a hitch, but without my knowledge, the location was changed and that location did not have the equipment that I requested. Which I didn't find out until I got there. My reservation was made a few days in advance and a UHaul rep could have advised me that my location of choice did not have what I needed. That way, I could have chosen another location instead of being forced to go to their location of choice that still did not have what I needed.

I was under the assumption I was picking the truck up in Douglas MA and found out at the last minute it was Worcester. I was TOLD when to get the truck which wasn't convient as I was working so had to change pick up to the next day. When I booked this on line I was given a $69 discount if I returned the truck to Norwood (which was 17 miles from where we were) so my total was $164 on line. When I returned the uhaul my total was approx $200. I feel I was mislead and should be given a $35 credit. It was a very confusing experience and not sure I would use uhaul again or recommend it. The man working the office could not get the computer running to give a receipt. Said he wouldn't charge us for being an hour late and did. So we incurred a 32 dollar extra charge. Said he would not be at the office to receive the padding my daughter returned. He was rude to her by not acknowledging her presence. So she left the padding without receiving a receipt. Needless to say, we were quite disappointed.

There was no one there at 11:30 a.m. The guys at the repair shop across the street told us to drop the key in the box and leave the truck. Also, I received an invoice for gasoline that we don't "owe"--we returned the truck with 1/8 tank, as we received it. AND the reply e-mail address from them doesn't work!

Overall, I felt like this was the first time this person has ever rented a U-Haul. English was extremely poor. I had to spell everything (yes everything down to the last word) for him and check out of the vehicle took forever because of this. I ordered blankets (six dozen to be correct) and he didn't have anywhere near this many. He did not review my total with me nor did he go over the insurance at all. He asked for my credit card and immediately swiped it before even discussing with me what was on the order. I also had to carry down my own blankets a flight of steps, across the street and then into the truck. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this location. It was a terrible experience. I have used U-Haul many times in the past (5 to 7 times) and this was by far the worst experience that I ever had. I hate writing bad reviews like this but I have to be honest the customer service was just so lacking that I felt obligated to do so.

The only person working here was extremely rude. I didn't even know who was working or where to go for 20 minutes when he was outside and in and out of his office the entire time. He treated my boyfriend and I very disrespectfully, complaining about Father's Day and needing to work, did not ask us any questions about our order and left us sitting in silence while he fumbled around a few different truck orders confused himself. Regardless of Father's Day and his busy morning he made us feel guilty for being there and confused about the entire process. I would have easily gone to another Worcester location, which had hundreds of trucks available and I was so close to walking out.

When we arrived, we saw U-Haul trucks, but they belonged to the businss across the street...not to the business where they were parked. I called the number for the location but could barely understand him. He arrived soon afterward. All he wanted was the key; he didn't check the truck while we were there, which we thought he would do, particularly since we had checked the truck with the U-Haul employee in the pick-up location. We weren't quite prepared to receive the mileage charge that followed, but we do not disagree with it, either; the mileage charge is correct.

The neighborhood felt sketchy even during the day. The worker had left to go get food but promptly came back when I called. We chose to drive around, rather than sit in the parking lot. He was nice and helpful when he got back.

In a very bad area of Worcester. No one was there to accept the vehicle at 3:45pm on a Sunday, and other renters were there waiting. Barely enough room to park the vehicle. I luckily found the last spot and the truck JUST fit in. Others who were there to either pick up or drop off were not as fortunate as I was. 1 out of 10 for this location. Do not use this location for either pick ups or drop offs!!

We had an after-hours drop off. The following day, an extremely rude man called and YELLED at us for dropping the keys in the ONLY labeled "after hours drop", which apparently wasn't for the UHaul site at all, but the autobody shop next door. No lighting, no signs or instructions, and rude service the following day means that we'll NEVER recommend this location.

The location was hard to find, only the piece of equipment i was renting was on the property, no other uhaul equipment there, trailer was hooked up by the person working there and fell off the back of our truck after leaving the location. Would not suggest this location to anyone else. The type of equipment requested should have been available at a larger uhaul location with an individual knowledge about hooking up the trailer.

This location with working hours of Mon-Sun 9am-5pm called me on Saturday (the original date of my reservation) at 10 am asking where I was. When I told him that I would pick the truck up around 3:30 that afternoon he said that "this doesn't work" for him because he "had friends and family coming over" for the afternoon. When I asked about the hours he posted to uhaul, he replied "don't worry about my hours". We ultimately had to switch our reservation, which changed the location of our pick up, which we were not made aware of. When we arrived at our original destination, the agent lied about speaking to us on the phone, was extremely rude and abrasive, and then proceeded to tell us that our pick up location had been changed. So we had to drive to a separate uhaul location to pick up the truck. This location provided a service of the same caliber as the first. After explicitly stating several times that we would need the truck for several days and to make sure that was reflected in our reservation, we were told that "it did not matter, you keep the truck and pay the fee". This created a scheduling fiasco with the drop off location several days later. Horrifying experience overall, unlikely to use uhaul again after it.

I reserved online a 10" truck to be picked up on Sunday, August 16th. I was away on vacation out of the country from 8/10-8/15. I received several emails confirming that I was all set to pick up along with the location for 8/16. I received an email from the owner, who did not even specify who he was...email stated please call with a phone number. I had no idea who I was calling because he did not state he was from uhaul. I returned to Worcester at 1:30AM from my trip and called the following morning (8/16). He answered the phone hello...not Uhaul. Again, no idea who I was calling. I had scheduled for a 10AM p/u. He told me I needed to come immediately because he is not typically opened on Sundays. I said I had asked to p/u at Shrewsbury St. location. He was very rude. I went there to get the truck, which required me to leave my vehicle in a less than safe looking neighborhood. There were only two trucks parked there and both were 15". I stated I requested a 10" because I did not need the larger. He said no, they have you taking a 15". I asked if I would be charged for the 15 and he said yes. I then called Shrewsbury St. location, which is an actual uhaul business, rather then a contractor. They were very helpful and kind. They informed me that Uhaul would not charge the higher price because they made the "upgrade." This truly was not an upgrade considering I chose the smaller truck because of the amount of stuff I was moving, but also because I did not feel comfortable driving the larger. This was a very unsettling experience with the Lamartine St. location. VERY! Had I known I was being sent to a rude man who was not providing me what I asked, I would have through another rental company. I cant' stress enough how professional the folks at the Shrewsbury St. location were though.

I was charged $40.00 extra for a late day fee - when I handed the uhual in on time. The location i turned my truck into was incredibly poor - I could barely find the drop off location. I handed in the key and the contract - and took TIME dated pictures because I thought there might be a problem (given the quality of the drop off location). I then got a phone call from the drop off location the next morning in a panic. He could not find the truck that I had left. He kept asking me frenzied questions about where I had parked the truck - if I had locked it, etc. After calling me and my secondary number - making the same claims over and over again without listening - he eventually figured out that the contract was incorrect. They had listed the mileage wrong at the first location. The drop off location then asked me when i had turned in the truck (assuming I had handed it in *that* morning). After assuring him that I had handed it in the previous day within the 24 hour period, he continued to argue with me - telling me that I had not done so. I would like to request a refund for my extra day charge as I had handed in the truck at the correct time - and did not deserve to be told that I had misplaced the truck - when the mistake was Uhuals and not my own. I need a response, so I will use your contact form - but this is the form that was sent to me by the customer service agent from the 1800 number. Overall, I'm incredible disappointed. I did not deserve to have been treated so poorly by the staff at the drop off location and to be given poor directions from the customer service staff - and on top of all of that - to be charged an extra fee. I will be looking into other companies for future moves.
