Had a little trouble locating the Gap Creek Market using address provided; however, once entered Gap Creek Market in Waze, found it with no issues.
Chris SutherlandMy original truck was to be picked up at a different location at 730 am. I booked it a week in advance. U-Haul over booked and I was wo a truck on moving day. The manager was nice enough to find a truck, but I had to drive 30 miles to get it. Please don't overbook. I felt this very disrespectful in light of my reservation being made We'll in advance.
Jack OwenIt was a one man show, he was also running convenient store. Although he was helpful with getting receipt, I had to remove trailer from truck and position it by other rentals. Luckily I had someone with me to help.
SHELLY FUCHSThe uHaul representative was arrogant, dismissive, and obstryctive. He initially asked if I had completed my registration online. I replied "no" and his demeanor changed immediately. I gave him my reservation confirmation and he asked for my driver license and a second phone number. I responded that I have only one phone number. He then said that he could not rent to me and returned my license and turned away. I responded that I've rented numerous times from uHaul and never before been rejected. He insisted that he required a second phone number and turned away I walked away and began calling uHaul Customer Service. After he heard who I was calling. He interrupted and stated that my reservation was now approved and asked to see my license and AMEX card again. Magically, something changed and I was approved. He gave me access to a truck and then admonished that I needed to use my phone for processing information in the future. I walked out of the convenience store alone and disappointed in the experience. Insult was added to injury after locating my truck and discovering that the cab was filthy with mud and dirt. I considered objecting but decided against it due to the amount of work and travel that I needed to complete before Memorial Day weekend. I'm 73 years old and did not want to spar verbally or otherwise with an arrogant Indian clerk. I mention his race for identification only so that he is not able to blame another employee for his behavior. Clearly, he needs additional training in customer service.
