The cargo van had garbage from the last renter. In addition, the right side mirror did not stay secure. It dropped down where you saw the road. I drove approx. 30 miles and the tire inflation icon came on. Soon the message said to get it serviced. I stopped twice to check the tires and called which took me, 5 people. The last person I spoke to was roadside recovery who gave me a UHaul vendor to go to. The next morning I went and the man told me they could not do an assessment there. I was sent to a tire store.

Not sure I would recommend. I thought I would be driving about 100 miles, but I only drove less than 50. Andrij McConneli said if it was less than 100 the bill would be adjusted to reflect the lesser mileage. When I got there he said he could email me the receipt after he checked it in. I got the receipt, but no adjustment was reflected. Very disappointing!!!!!

Everyone at Canwood was fantastic. My problem is with the Moorpark satellite location, which is only a mile from my home, to move my Mom from Wood Ranch to my house. I reserved a 20 foot moving truck a week prior and was told I could pick up the truck at 3:30 Friday afternoon. I told them I needed the truck for 24 hours. After several calls on Friday afternoon to tell me that my truck would not be available, I was told that I could pick up the truck in Moorpark at 4:30 pm. When I arrived the manager said that the truck needed to be returned over night as someone had rented it for 8:00 a.m. the next day. When I told him that my reservation was for 24 hours, he told me that would not be possible because the rental for Saturday morning was for him and he would not honor my reservation (which he confirmed was taken by his grandson, who made the mistake of entering my return time as 3:30 am, rather than pm - Saturday). He was adamant that he would not give up the reservation as their location had been sold and they needed to move Saturday, not caring that our move was scheduled and had to happen as well. He found a replacement truck at the Canwood location in Agoura Hills, which I accepted. I told him I would need to be compensated for the additional mileage and gas caused by his selfishness and his grandson's ineptitude. He made a call and told me that he confirmed with Canwood that my rental would be $29.95, rather than $39.95 and the mileage would be .89 / mile. I told him that would not compensate me for the difference in mileage and gas, let alone the inconvenience of having to drive an additional 18 miles each way (1 live 1 mile from the Moorpark location). When I arrived to pick up the truck in Agoura, Travis as fantastic, but he said there were no notes in the record to confirm my discounted rates. He kindly made a note on my paperwork and told me to discuss with the manager when I returned the truck. When I returned the truck, I was treated very well by a young lady whose name I do not recall. But, she did say that the manager had just left for dinner and she would have to discuss with him when he returned. She said she would have him call me so I knew what was going to be charged to my card. I have not received an invoice or receipt to know what I was charged and the manager never called to update me. I would like to know what I was charged and that I will have an opportunity to discuss the charges with someone at Uhaul who has the authority to adjust if needed. My experience with Uhaul was terrible with Moorpark...mostly great with Agoura, but an inconvenience to an already very busy weekend overall. The Van was high mileage and the engine was week. Everything worked fine though. I was charged a $12 cleaning fee when I was told specifically I would not be.

Our original reservation was with the Westlake uhaul. I asked if we could pick up uhaul night before and they weren’t sure. Then the Agoura office called and had a trailer available. The misinformation came when we wanted to rent the hitch, Westlake said we could rent it, when my husband got to Agoura, they made him buy it.
