I was under the impression the customer service agent was setting up me to drop off the trucks in bosie ID not walla walla she verbally told me this which was false and misleading informationJonathan H.
The car dolly we rented had a warn wheel harness on the passenger side. the attendant failed to thoroughly inspect the equipment before having me load my vehicle onto it. Had I not stopped at a rest stop to do a safety inspection of the dolly before heading down Meacham pass, I wouldn't have known that the harness had broken. Meacham pass is a 6% downhill grade that is 6 miles long. I could have lost my car, lost control of the 15' uhaul truck, and possibly harmed or worse killed someone. Myself and crew included. The thing that made me cautious? My car's front tires kept turning on the dolly when I turned a corner. My grandmother owns one of these dollys and i know the wheels aren't supposed to do that. So i had decided to make checkpoint safety stops to make sure all was good or adjust the load if needed. I called uhaul roadside assistance but got a voicemail. I called the main uhaul number and was routed to roadside assistance. They sent a mechanic - which took an hour and a half that could have been avoided with better inspection practices - who replaced the harness and got us back on the road. His repairs also corrected the wheel turning problem. On to the truck... Seriously update your trucks! Your cargo vans are more up-to-date. This ford truck was a barebones truck. No power anything except the steering and worse, no cruise control. After 4 hours of driving with my foot constantly on the accelerator it started to seriously hurt and was swelling. And I was wasting gas. Do you not care about environment or are you so greedy you'd let a customer waste money on gas.Emily S.
First of all, we were moving from La Grande and not Baker. That being said we had to drive 45 minutes to grab the truck on Monday, then back the next day to pick up the trailer from a different location in Baker becuase aparently you can't just move the truck over to the trailor to have it all picked up in one day. Then you tried to charge us for extra miles when obviously you made us drive back again and only gave us 100 extra mile! When we came to pick up the truck we found the windsheild wipers were broken, so that was an extra thing to deal with. It had also just snowed and none of it was cleaned off, nore did the lady we piched the tuck up from have ANY equipment to clean it off! So we spent an entire hour getting the 2 feet of snow off the top of the truck.melody S.

When you want to tow a vehicle, and that vehicle is not in your website firm list, you could make it easier for the customer. I had a hard time. U-Haul didn't call me back. I had to make multiple calls to finally reach "Hitch Central". This process could have been better for me. The staff at UHaul in Baker City were great. Couldn't have asked for better help.Tim C.
Make sure the equipment is functional. I had to drop the equipment off early, due to a breakdown, and was harrassed by UHaul workers for doing so.Travis W.

Barbara was fantastic. My husband was stranded in Baker City, OR and we reserved a truck for him to drive back home. On the day of the pick up, no truck was available. The person who was supposed to drop it off had to keep it. Since he had no car, she drove my husband all the way to Weiser, ID to pick an available truck. I don't know what we would have done without her help. I can't rate her high enough. She's deserves over a 5 star rating. People like her is what makes a company great. The uhaul had dirt and other things inside. So we had to clean it out. The dolly straps worn and torn. We had two mechanics look at the dolly's straps and they said not to travel with the shape of the straps. We called the 1-800 number and we kept getting pasted around and the last person (Mary) that we talked to was the only person that actually helps us. Replace all traps on dolly's they are a safety issue that could cause bigger issues and they could lead to lawsuits.Daniel E.
