Appliance dolly and furniture dolly requested and billed but not provided by U-Haul. Lot is in very bad condition; not clear on how to pick up truck as lot unmanned; took a long telephone call with U-Haul to resolve express pickup: wouldn’t accept my wife’s driver license nor our postal code. U-Haul representative dealing with on phone at pickup was to note that dollies were not provided at pickup.

This was just an empty lot, with limited access. There was no personnel available to help or ask questions. I didn't really feel comfortable leaving the rental here, took pictures to verify that I had indeed dropped off the trailer. No signs stating what is required, no key drop-off that I could see. This was a shit-show.

Bit of mix up with pick up key in wrong lock box, but owner came out right away to sort it out. Whoever put keys in boxes mixed too up, so just a bit more attention needed. Otherwise great!

the actual storefront was confusing, There was no U-Haul signage at all. In a parking lot across the street there were some U-Haul trucks, which was the only indication, and a key box drop off. Until I got the email from Uhaul, it was a little unsettling just dropping off truck and keys in lock box in a more or less empty parking lot. Though in the end - all was good.

I had an original reservation and pick up booked at the Barlow Trail location. The morning of the day I was to pick up, I went on line to check the status as I did not receive a email to find they had cancelled it. I phoned the store and they could not do anything for me. They found a trailer in CANMORE and booked it for me. I had to drive to CANMORE from CALGARY, found the lot and trailer (smaller than originally booked), buy hookup wires at Canadian Tire as it was a unmanned lot and no one to help, drive all the way back to CALGARY, squeezed as much as we could into the smaller trailer, then drive back to our BC location. I feel this should have been a FREE GRATIS for this rental due to the cancelled reservation, the drive, gas and time to go to CANMORE AND BACK TO CALGAARY. I would love to talk with anyone who will listen on this matter.

Pick up was seamless super quick. We were in a pickle and loaded our own truck and trailer too full. Had to call uHaul last minute as we were moving in to our new home the next day. Really happy with the customer service!

I did not receive a confirmation call 24 hours before. I had to call and try to confirm the pick up. Then when I asked if I could pick it up early it was unclear. Once I arrived, the van was dirty in the back and the driver's area. There was garbage left in it and it smelled terrible. Water was leaking in the back by the driver's side wheel well. It took use about 45 min to clean the driver's area and back. We had to put extra blankets down. There was a trolley and blanket left in the back. I did not need these and they took up extra space. I had to unload them and leave them inside the compound. I was disappointed by my experience.

Feels like a desolate desert wasteland. No personnel on site at 2pm on a Thursday. Had to leave keys in drop box, but instructions were vague. The girl at the other UHaul location seemed nice even though she couldn’t accept the truck/trailer.

The parking lot is full of holes. Rear sticking out of the ground. Also, the app did not work. Had to try random lock boxes with random combinations to get a key. Luckily my agent I called for help was great! She helped me get my move going. Uhaul should be embarrased by the lots condition

No instructions were given on how to pick up other rented items (ie. moving blankets, furniture dolly) I had to search out and find the items I requested. There weren’t even enough moving blankets for me????

The communication was awful. No one told me that this is unmanned station, so I couldn’t get a hold of anyone to reconfirm or adjust the reservation. Every time I called UHaul I had to wait between 30 and 60 minutes to talk to someone’s and than they cannot help me or transfer me to someone else, which puts me back to the waiting line. I gave up sometimes. This is very frustrating. The equipment I ordered was deleted (not by me), when I received the 24hour confirmation. When I called UHaul again, they provided an alternative, but not the auto transport I ordered. Only a tow dolly was available. The day of the pick up itself (just 2 hours prior)the station manager texted me that he doesn’t have furniture pads. Unacceptable!!!!! Also, because it was unmanned station and he just told me that morning, no one was available to assist me with the tow Dooley. The tow Dooley itself was already in bad condition. The plastic cover for the tire was almost ripped off and I knew that this will break with the cross Canada Trip I had to do. Of course, no one was there, so I texted the station manager that there are issues, but he didn’t reply. Also because I did the Express check in, I paid my original order in advance. I than received a refund for the difference of the tow dolly, but never received an invoice or receipt, so I don’t know if I got reimbursed for the furniture pads that he couldn’t provide. On top of that I had another CHARGE from UHaul from the same station that refunded, which was even higher and I don’t know why. I am currently waiting in line with UHaul again for already 20 minutes to find out if someone can provide a receipt and tell me what the charge is about. All in all very disappointed.

The GPS brought me to an abandoned buildings return the truck to. Not a great/safe building or feeling. There were NO uhaul signs anywhere. We had to stop at a local business to seek out the uhaul drop off. Once we got to the correct location the key drop box was smashed in. I googled uhaul Canmore and found there was a second location to drop the keys safely. Very inconvenient to me to have to drive all over plus the extra KM on my car and the truck. I called the next morning to both locations plus customer service to make everyone aware and to avoid and confusion. I was contacted 3 days later by uhaul to see if I had returned the truck. WHAT!!!!! I spoke to 3 people and now no one knows what’s going on. How incredibly concerning. Especially when my credit card is involved. When I spoke to the person who called me 3 days after I returned the truck I was told I wouldn’t be charged any additional charges or fees. My credit cards shows otherwise. Not the best experience over all.

They incorrectly charged my $13-$14 dollars for extra miles, but when I dropped it off it was under the milage limit. Also, the key drop had been broken into, and I felt unsafe leaving the key there. No one was at the site, or available by phone.

Lot where the equipment is stored has huge holes and rebar sticking out of the ground. Whoever runs it wasn't even aware of my reservation. The trailer i was told to take still had materials in it from the previous user. I was told there would be a hitch available to use with the trailer and when i arrived to pick it up I was told to go to Canadian Tire and buy my own

truck was only half filled with gas, I followed the instructions and filled the tank upon return. I cleaned the truck, it was not properly cleaned from the previous renter. As a suggestion would it be appropriate for the person who was the contact be given more authority to make decisions. I asked if I could change the location and was told it was not his decision to make and I may incur a penalty. Be glad to provide more input if you are interested. Thanks
