I checked in. The guy at the counter called someone because he couldn't find the trailer number in the system. The gentleman on the phone was very kind. He emailed the receipt to me immediately. As the clerk walked out with me to show us where to park it he said we had to unhook it. I explained that my husband had just got out of ICU yesterday and was on oxygen. His response was he couldn't leave the store. Then he told me he would have to charge me $20. Now we were all of 25 feet from the front door, there was no other customer and I had to wait for him to wait on me while he went out the side door to look at some guys car. Also my contract was already closed so where exactly did he plan on putting that $20 he was going to charge me. As a result of my husband having to do it we had to sit for approximately 10 minutes while he tried to breathe. We had originally rented the trailer from Addison IL about a week earlier. That evening is when my husband was rushed to the hospital. I had to bring it back the next day and Jessie unhooked it without me asking. He was also fantastic.

I showed up 5 mins after there opening time and no one at all was present so I left the vehicle in a safe spot and locked it dropped the keys in the drop box. I WAS STILL CHARGED A AFTER HOUR SERVICE CHARGE WHY?? If they were at fault for not opening at the indicated time

They never answered the phone. I called close to 15 times over a 12 hour period and they never answered the phone.

That said, our initial reservation with Uhaul at the Woodstock location was a disaster. Went to get the truck (reserved Saturday late through Sunday late). Was told we had to submit a copy of the driver's license via a link sent to us previously. Told them we had not and I did not have my iPhone. Was told it had to be submitted. As I left was asked if I was cancelling. Told them "No I'll pick it up in the morning." Got home and had received another notice on my iPhone to submit my driver's license via picture. Called the Uhaul and asked if we could downsize to a 20' truck when we picked it up Sunday morning. Was told they had cancelled my reservation, the truck was no longer available and they had no other trucks. Called corporate. Nice woman listened and found us a 20' truck elsewhere. Curiously the Uhaul web site stated the originally reserved truck was available Saturday and Sunday, as was a 20' truck both at the Woodstock site. We did get a truck Sunday but not from the Woodstock site...although there were trucks there. Corporate customer service informed me it was all a miscommunications. Really???? Obviously no security tapes were listened to where I specifically told them not to cancel the reservation, nor was the Uhaul web site referenced that said- contrary to their employees- that the truck and the 20' were available for rent on Sunday. Will not use the Woodstock site again although we have used it numerous times in the past and will only use Uhaul as a vendor of last resort going forward.

The Lady that helped us was outstanding. The overall service and experience were great. Only concern was the email we received from UHaul . When we first booked we received an email to call a number to confirm. Tried to call and confirm our reservation, phone only rang over and over. We then drove to the location and the lady said the number we were given was not the right one. You might want to update your internet records and number on emails.

Its unfortunate that you sent me to a convenience store/gas station to rent anything. Between waiting on customers and trying to retrieve my info on his phone, it took over 30 minutes to pickup the trailer. In addition, I had to get someone in the parking lot to help me attach the trailer to my car.

Changed pick up location and did not let us know. Very inconvenient. Also, 1/4 tank of gas upon pick up. Had to fill.it up from the beginning... more inconvenience.

I had to clean the bed of the truck before I could use it. The floor was covered with about 0.5 of dirt and leaves. Also there was an oil like substance on the walls and floor.

Cashier was fighting with me about the return process. I completed it on my app and she kept telling me that she needed to get pictures. Like I was supposed to be the one to go get them when I already did everything. Plus she was on the phone with a family member while handling my transaction. Just a horrible experience.

How about telling me that you changed the location of my pickup????? I understand that a reservation does not guarantee that it will be at the specific location requested but how about telling me beforehand. No email, no text, no call.
